Rochelle Park Storage Units Near I-80
Conveniently located on State Route 17 just north of the I-80 Express, this Rochelle Park Public Storage offers storage units of varying sizes.
Indoor climate control storage units are offered in seven different sizes, starting at 5x5 feet, so you're assured of getting just the size unit you need. The storage area is accessed via a password-enabled keypad. An on-site manager also makes moving in easy with expert storage advice. All upper floor storage units are accessible by elevator, and there is free parking for customers. The location also sells moving supplies such as boxes, tape and rope.
Originally settled by the indigenous group called the Lenape, Rochelle Park incorporated in 1871. It is in a scenic area that includes historic buildings and the Saddle River County Park offering natural beauty for all. Dirty facility and there’s never a worker onsite.
They very much suck at the for ever changing rates drastic changes not slightly up it very now and again but go from 50 to 90 within a month time . Crazy
I was at this location a few days ago and the lady worker, I believe her name is Crystal was amazing. She was so attentive to what I was looking for in a storage unit, she was patient with all my concerns. Miss Crystal always had a smile. She was a great help, this place needs more people like her !

Spoke to someone in upper Management by the name of Ashley. She was very helpful. I still don’t think they need to be increasing the monthly amount by so much and so often, but I will make sure to call them to each time to try and negotiate the increases.
I still stand firm in my previous statement but I will give 4 stars now instead of 1 star only based on my experience with Ashley.

The increases are INSANE!! I got my storage unit here in the summer of 2022 for $174 they increased the price within a few months to over $200. The last increase went from $271 to $331, a $60 increase is absolutely insane!! This place is a RIPOFF! I put my stuff here because $174 was a good deal but $331 is just crazy!! AVOID THIS SCAM!!!
The place was always well maintained the people there were attentive. I had to leave once my original storage fee went from 70 to 90 to 120 to one last bill of 160.... in two years. I am now somewhere else where I am guaranteed a reasonable fee for at least the next two years. I never experienced this, maybe I was supposed to renegotiate every 6 months, who knows. The weird thing is that the same exact lockers were rented at 70! in the same building! I understand that there are introductory fees and that the fees will increase, but from 70 to 160 in two years? What is the explanation? (I actually called and I was told that was the competitive fee, wow)
When I think of Public Storage, I think of excessive rent increases that have no more value than a 10x10 box that keeps going up and up and up in unjustifiable rent increases.
This company is the closest thing to being "crooked like" to say the least.
How do I go from paying around $200 per month to paying $500 within a year for one unit per month. I have two other units with the same issue, costing me a total of $1000 per month.
Wow, I feel like I got robbed, yet legally!
I definitely missed the increases on my auto pay.
Don't let the nice building fool you because it comes at a hefty price.
As of this month, I am leaving Public Storage company for good.
You ripped me off enough.
I found a garage to rent with doable the space for a fraction of the cost I was paying for three units with this company centered for profits business corporation.
It's enough space to place all my items in for way less.
I really hope that there will be some legislation passed to stoptheses unfair rent hikes in the storage industry.
To Public Storage, you really ought to be ashamed of what you are doing to the consumer who supports you.

This place is horrible. Bugs everywhere: Crickets in the older building & bedbugs in the other. Take your pick….Doors always broken….Outsiders follow u inside—NOT SAFE!!!…🚬☘️🪈 store next door makes the area crowded and sketchy….Route 17 traffic makes it hard to reach the place long before closing, limiting your time and access to your storage there….Staff is unaccountable.
worked this location & others. DM Caitlin mega cool and allowed me to take on a job in which I taught kids code.
Had some ups and downs found myself out of work with them.
Total "lazyboi/lazygurl" job you won't be carrying stone hours a day in the sun but you won't actually get paid just to sit on your phone either.
Plenty of time to study or iterate a project on lunch or if you earned a break if you have portable, personal stuff with which to do that.
DM Ashley, VP Nicole, (and friends and subordinates and superiors) are great people at a good place.

I took advantage of an Internet special on an discounted unit with $1 first month rent (fees and lock made the first payment total $50-$60)
My unit was exactly as described and the person who checked me in on my first day was helpful and pleasant. I'm very happy with it.

Had a space here for about three years while I lived in a small apartment and transitioned towards retirement and buying a house, so I used the space to store things for a house that I couldn't keep in my apartment. An initial annoyance is that you have to buy your own lock, and of course their doors use only one kind of lock, and it'[s one you have to buy from them. The website and app work well to auto-pay and to open outside doors. Access is relatively easy, though the building is right on route 17, so you have to deal with route 17 traffic for getting in and out. Getting into the building itself is rarely problematic, though there was some confusion for a while regarding what door to use.
My main problems, though, came with the persistent rate hikes. As a renter, I can understand (though not like) annual hikes that are 5% or so, but one of the first hikes they tried to hit me with was 37%. I had to complain a lot to get that reduced, but that seemed to be the exception, not the rule. By the time I moved out, looks like my overall increase was about 25% from when I started. As I'd had the space about three years, I'll let you do that division.
The final straw was when I moved out. I gave notice, and I moved out before the end of the month I had already paid for in full, but when I asked if I was going to be credited for the unused time, I was simply told that they don't pro-rate, so I still had to pay for the full month even though I'd cleared the space before the month was over.
Very clean and attentive, management is very helpful as well.
Spoke with Frank at the Rochelle Park location. He was nice enough to get me 3 months at my same rate because apparently all public storage does is raise rates in an economy that's in the toilet makes no sense.
He was very nice and helped me - maybe corporate can learn from his actions

I got a $60 rent increase out of nowhere, with no email notification, and speaking to the “escalations department” was no help. What I got was a rude person telling me, “Well, if you don’t want to pay the increase, you can close the unit.” Thanks for your help, Public Storage, especially during the holidays. Merry Christmas!
Will and Robin are awesome, extremely helpful ,kind, and courteous . The company itself is horrible the rates and increase without notice . The price is just extremely too high .
It was a pleasure working with Mark on my reservation. He was patient courteous and very informative on my options.
Provided excellent service during our initial reservation and felt welcomed. When we needed to switch preferred units it was no problem and another easy and friendly experience. Would recommend!
Update 09/26/23: Updated the review from one star to five stars. I had a negative experience with someone on the property that turns out isn't an employee at Public Storage therefore, i don't have anything negative to say about facility. It turns out the individual is employed with another business nearby.
Public Storage called me about my review and provided excellent customer service. Highly recommenced this storage facility.
Well managed and climate controlled .. .. the front desk staff is also very helpful .. and despite technical challenges out of their control they have been super helpful ..

2022 -Allison is a super helpful and patient person. Moving can be nerve racking. She understands and showed me various sized units, until I was comfortable with the one that best meets my need.
The facility is state of the art contactless, clean and fully functioning, unlike the place my son had used in the past. Love the app on phone to open doors and gates!

I have had a storage unit for 3 1/2 years at this location and have been very satisfied until the last 2 months. My Dec and Jan payments have been lost but thanks to Jose and Mark the issues have been corrected. Jose should be promoted to manager he is wonderful! Courteous, caring and knowledgable.

it is now 5 months later and my storage fee has gone from $379.00 to 435.00 a $56.00 increase. this company needs to be more transparent with regards to informing tenants of how often there will be rent increases and the amount of increase. public storage increases rents every 5 months. looking for another storage location.

I had issues with the space moving in and moving out, but management was able to resolve my major concerns. I really appreciate them taking the time out to personally contact me and address everything in a timely manner - not all businesses are as honest and understanding.
