Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1080 Goffle Road, Hawthorne, NJ

Sol is excellent but the company could be better. They raise the prices all the time. I guess they don't want loyal customers.

I Have rented at Goffle Rd in hawthorne for some time... Sol & William are friendly, helpful & professional!!! They keep the place very clean. Moving carts are on hand. I highly recommend the Public storage in Hawthorne!

I have been with this Public Storage since 2022. Moved from 20x10 to 10x10 and now 5x10. It was seamless.

Sol is extraordinary. He is a very conscientious staff member — always a joy to see him when I am on the premises.

Called late on a Saturday night in the midst of a downsize move. The rep was outgoing, friendly, professional, and helpful. Told me about Memorial Day sale still available on June 1. Rented a unit four minutes from new residence.

When my mother passed away, having had a unit with Public Storage for about 20 years, I was looking elsewhere due to the cost. Robin was able to secure a great deal for me and my family was lucky to save on movers to go from one storage facility to another. If you need a storage unit, go see Robin! She's great.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. We've had a horrible experience with Public Storage. We need to keep a storage unit for our small business and this has by far been our worst experience. We are getting out as soon as possible. First, they get you in with an introductory rate that went up within 4 months. We've now been there 15 months and it is 50% more a month than when we started. The unit itself on Goffle Road in Hawthorne, NJ is dark and getting access in inconvenient. There need to be consumer protections. Storage companies' ability to use monthly leases that are tied to market value is a racket.

I want to first commend Robin and Sol. I would give 100 stars if I could. I hooe this company apprecoates these two dedicated, respectful and hard working individuals!!!!!! As far as PUBLIC STORAGE, I give you as a company minus 100 stars. How is it that there is never a CART in this facility. You raise your prices as if you are pouring a glass of water. You are a disgraceful, greedy corporation. So proud to no longer be a customer of yours. Will truly miss Robin and Sol. Disgusting, $180 .00 a month and NEVER a CART to be found!!!!!

ROBIN IS A ROCKSTAR. She is a total pleasure to worth it and seriously what a lifesaver with our rental unit. She made such smooth transition to another unit, no stress and with total efficiency. If you need a place to safely keep your stuff, check it out and ask for Robin.

Robin was amazing! We moved everything from our apartment into a unit while searching for our forever home. She helped us upsize to a better unit even as the movers were bringing everything in. During move out, she brought up a broom and asked if I needed help cleaning up. From in-person visit to any phone question, Robin always was helpful and kind. I'd give her more than 5-stars if I could.

Aside from District Management being problematic at times, it's really solid. Robin and Sal are really helpful and understanding, even to those who aren't necessarily decent people towards them, which takes a lot to do, as I've seen first-hand. If you have an issue with something there and are polite about it, they'll do everything they can to help you. Kinda wish District Management would give them more carts for moving though, as there aren't enough for the whole building, even though there's one for each floor, especially when certain people are moving stuff and commandeer all the carts for no justifiable reason. Overall, the facility itself is nice, the staff there are nice and understanding, and don't believe anything corporate says because they'll lie about sending you information regarding a rent issue in writing.

It’s a nice place and everyone who works there is nice and really chill. Overall the facility is clean, aside from the occasional dying field mouse :( and only downside is the bathrooms aren’t unlocked so you have to find someone working there to open em for ya. The biggest issue w the company I have is how they handle pricing. I rented a unit in March 2022 and had the special deal of $1 for the first month and then $99 give or take a few for each month afterwards. I got an email the other day (end of July 2022) stating my rent is increasing by almost 40% in September 2022, 37.7% to be specific. I understand for new units the price would be higher, but for customers who’ve been on time w payments and use the facility without issue, this sorta rent hike is ridiculous. Just be careful please if you’re looking to rent. EDIT: They were nice enough to extend the rent I signed up for, for another 3 months. The staff are super nice at this location, and a lot more reasonable than corporate since I spoke to the district manager about this rent issue, and he claimed I he would reduce my rent. He never sent me a written documentation about it even though I explicitly asked for one multiple times, and the rent adjustment he claimed would happen for me never occurred. Thankfully, the staff at this location were much nicer and understanding. EDIT (Again): The staff are always nice, and super understanding normally. My unit required maintenance, which required me to move my stuff, but thankfully the staff are super understanding about it all and were extremely helpful. They made sure to get me an almost identical unit to the one I moved from, and the were always super communicative about it all, making the whole process a lot easier.
