Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 801 Matthews Township Pkwy, Matthews, NC

Charles at Public Storage in Matthews was so incredibly helpful today. He spent a couple of hours with us helping us with getting a larger storage unit, helping us get it all settled in one day. Thank you, Charles!

Amber was great! Very friendly and very professional! She set us up with a storage unit and a parking space close to each other. Then we realized we needed a larger storage unit. She immediately found us another storage unit and space close together in a different location and was upbeat and pleasant throughout the whole process! We literally drove away happy!

Once again, Amber was wonderful!

Jenny was amazing. Walked me through e rentals for 2 units and showed me the size of the spaces so I knew what i needed.

Prices have gone up so much it's insane. It's just a private equity money grab at this point. They will continue to raise the prices until people leave. They don't maintain the facility. Been trying to get them to repair the electrical at the building that has my unit. It's dark at night and the interior unit light doesn't work. Avoid this place and their deceptive entry rates.

Checking in was super quick and smooth. Flo is delightful and fun to talk to! She was so considerate picking a unit that would be more convenient for us to get our u-haul trailer close to without having to do too much backing in and out. Really great lady! Clean facilities, and she made sure to remind me to slide the door bolt before applying my lock (so it wouldn’t be locked in an open position)

This Public Storage is amazing! They are very accommodating and Charles the manager is very personable and works with you. It's also very clean! I've been there for 5yrs and counting!

So he took my info and told me he would check out the situation and give me a call back. A few moments later I received a text, email, and a follow up call from Charles with my problem fixed. We have rented here for several years and it was sufficient. However, early this year the office staff changes and Charles is great. We see him every time we stop by, he checks on units, and asks if we need help. I feel safer while I am there now that Charles is there.

Customer service is so kind and helpful at this location. I was finally starting to empty my Dad’s items we had stored, which was tough on its own. Then with a fully loaded SUV my battery died. Charles from the office was so kind pulling over his car and jumper cables to get me up and running, on an extremely hot day. Thank you for being so nice!! Our storage unit is super clean as well.

No one is ever here. Like it's a rare occasion I come here and people are here to help customers.

I had to put my belongings in storage for one month and putting it here was the worst mistake. I have no clue how this location is getting any five star reviews . This place is a dump. Shady people hangout here and leave their nasty trash everywhere. The elevators never worked and I was on the 3rd floor. I called corporate about this location and they haven't responded. Also, they deceptive advertising on their website. I booked a unit on the first floor and when I got there they told me there was no first floor. And this cost of storage for this dirty place is ridiculous. I strongly recommend not putting anything here.

- Employee here accidentally switched my and another customer's accounts. This resulted in my storage insurance being cancelled. Because of their screw up, I was forced to pay more each month than I was before. They offered no compensation for this. - That same screw up caused them to double charge me one month without my knowledge and without permission. Prepare for them to debit from your account whenever they please apparently. - Door magnets that are supposed to keep the heavy doors open don't work. Had a rough time moving out with every door forced closed. - Temperature controlled? Sure, if you like your belongings at a cool 110 degrees. - Call after call, no one picks up the phone. Multiple voicemails left, no one calls you back. - Public Storage online customer support is useless. "We will get back to you" and you never hear from them again. I was a loyal customer for almost 6 years and I can safely say that I will NEVER give another dime to Public Storage.

My unit was robbed because outside gate was broken and left open. It has had no climate control and was broken down. All they care about is getting $ out of you. No concern for you or your property. When I told mgr she refused to give me info at corporate. When I asked if gate and door to unit would be fixed she told me she could not say. I had to move my stuff right then and there. When I return the office is closed for lunch at 3:45 pm. I send email and no one cares about my loss, I get asked for $137.00 for next month. Really?! Where is the money I had to pay a mover, my stolen goods, and fees for new facility because you didn't keep a safe, clean and secure location. Shame on you!!! The place has become a shamble

The property was extremely clean when i was there. The new staff Nyemah was very friendly and made sure to all my questions with certainty and clarity.

The manager was made the process of finding a unit and getting it rented incredibly easy and stress free! The facilities are nice and they have plenty of little wheeled flats to move your things to your unit.
