About Huntersville

Less than 15 miles north of Charlotte, Huntersville is a thriving town in North Carolina's Mecklenburg County. It's a primarily suburban community, home to many young families that enjoy the town's various recreational opportunities, well-rated schools and family-friendly events. There's quite a bit of debate about the origin of the town's name. However, it's generally agreed that Huntersville was named after one of its early residents, which included Revolutionary War hero Reverend Humphrey Hunter, cotton farmer Robert Hunter and beloved teacher Elizabeth Hunter and her husband.

As a new resident of Huntersville, you'll be joining one of the most desirable lake communities in the Charlotte metro area.
