I have been a loyal customer, maintaining a storage unit at your facility for four years. Over this period, my rental rate has more than doubled. Recently, I was informed that new customers pay $200 per month for the same large storage unit that I currently rent for $513. Despite numerous attempts to address this issue with the corporate office, I eventually reached the area manager, who assured me that my rate would be reduced to $380—still nearly double what new customers are paying. Unfortunately, this commitment has not been honored, and it appears as though my concerns are being disregarded. This has been very frustrating at an already difficult time.
Update: as of September 1st, they have brought my rate down to $413.00. I appreciate it. I'll give them a solid 3 stars.
This location was very clean, the manager was very friendly and I felt safe leaving my belongings at this facility definitely will be using this facility in the future.

Charann was wonderful she has great customer service very well mannered and respectful she made sure I got everything that I needed especially when she noticed I booked the wrong size she took care of everything for me you definitely have a wonderful employee manager material if you ask me she is awesome.
I came into this facility a few days ago and Charann was the person I spoke with and advise me of everything I needed & Information about the facility! She’s awesome and was absolutely amazing! She turned my stressful situation to a smooth situation.
Online reservation does not work. Tried to go in person to book, but the location is not staffed with any people. I was redirected to book online or call a call center. Decided to book a competitor instead and received great service from Extra Space storage
ROBBIN WAS Great excellent service and she has given us all the help support and she is highly knowledgeable as far as her work is concerned. I highly recommend public storage and specially Huntersville public storage. It is clean well maintained and excellent customer service by Miss Robbin do visit the storage if you’re looking for items to keep in storage and definitely meet Miss Robin for a great service.

It's OK. Never a fwappin trolley available no matter what time I'm there.. Never had that problem with other storage places. It's clean. Can't get a signal to open the inner door, but it's not the end of the world to enter the code each time. I'm just mega salty about the scarcity of trolleys.

Don't store here if you were planning on being able to get things to your unit using the stated dollies or carts. They only have stolen carts from Walmart which you cannot move furniture on.
I've used public storage in three other states, and one in a very dangerous area. That storage always had 4 carts. This one when I went in to ask where the carts are, the manager at the desk caught a mood at me even though I went in calm and polite. She took out her expectations on me, who had no reason to be the recipient of the other users pent up hate.
It would be a 2 star if not for the flippant hate I was receiving from the manager.
I can't even store anything there and paid for it as I expected the great experience I had at every other public storage location. Apparently the manager of this one can't afford to keep the recordings and see who stole their carts...which means they can't see who comes in and may be inside the units or area at night. So safety is @ 0.
And how poorly does one run a business if they have stolen carts from another nearby business as their method to meet customers needs? Really bad. Shame on this owner and the regional manager too.
This company should be shut down by the ncdoj for price gouging my unit went from $45 to $102

Called customer service to get an explanation on the price increase. I was told it is a computer generated price increase and they could not give me any other reason. I ask for a supervisor and was told it would not help and there was no one else to talk to for an explanation or reason for the increase. I ask for a supervisor anyway and was transferred. I stayed on hold for 30 minutes and no answer. Doesn't seem right to increase the amount that much without some type of explanation.
50% price increase after just a few months. $100 per month increase and only a 30 day notice without an explanation for the reason of the increase.

Terrible customer service the moment you pay all customer service goes out the window. Even the automated phone service customer service is different when you call from a number on the account. There is literally no one ever in the buildings. I thought only one location was this way. They need to have at least one employee there during office hours. I have to move today and my unit is locked still even though I got a text saying it was ready. This has been a complete waste of my time of my day off, and the time of those who came to help. Public Self Storage is an absolute disaster. The call button to the office doesn’t work, the phone number received to call the office goes to voicemail. I have been on hold to speak to customer service 30+ minutes. Save yourself the extra stress and rent a space elsewhere. If you must still use this location, do not do it yourself call and schedule someone to be there. As soon as I paid it went downhill. I contacted the chat service online and they said they can only send a request to contact the manger, and I would hear back in 24-48 hours. Imagine that, and I was told I cannot receive a refund to rent from a place I can actually access. COMPLETE AND UTTER DISASTER!!!
Customer service can be improved greatly. I didn’t feel valued as a paying customer, but felt as if I were being a bother.
From the day I moved in till even months after moving out, this place has been an absolute nightmare. The day I moved in I was told someone would be on site at normal operating hours. I arrived to find no one on property. I tried calling and received no answer. There was another day, during normal operating hours, that no one was on property, that I was having issues with my unit door, and I ended up having to wait HOURS for someone to arrive to solve the issue. On top of other small incidents that just added up over the months that I spent there. Between inaccurate billing and incompetent employees with improper training, my whole experience was a complete nightmare. I was also charged for a full month ($102) after moving out, all because my code was used the day after move out. The representative I spoke with was not willing to help me, and merely stated that "that was policy". I've never been less unhappy with a service in my entire life.
These last few months have been extremely challenging in my personal life. New born baby, Mother in hospital with CHF, and caring for a grandfather with Alzheimer’s. I needed someone that would help me with an extension or something. I went as far as contacting corporate. Each and everyone I spoke with was cold after I explained my situation. But then there was Ms. Daisy whom called me on the day that my things were up for auction; I had already been crying for three days prior to her calling me. Thank God for Ms. Daisy because she heard me and she heard my cries and went above and beyond for me and contacted the buyers for me to at least be able to retrieve some of my baby things and possible important documents that may be in there as well. Thank you Ms Daisy for alllll your help. You are heaven sent.
