Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 17481 North Outer 40 Rd, Chesterfield, MO

We have been long term renters at this facility. When we recently needed to add more space, I made an online reservation which put our new units on a different floor from our current unit. Diane was able to easily accommodate our request to remain on the same floor and process our new rental agreements without any issues. She is professional, polite and very knowledgeable.

Extremely clean, secure and warm inside during winters. Your car drives into the building so when you load and unload you are right at the elevator. Cooperative staff is quick to help. I needed a bigger unit and the nice lady found me one near my old one so I would not have to cart my stuff all over the place. I do miss the carts they had by the elevators to move stuff around in . I hope they bring those back.

Save yourself the trouble and rent from another place! This building is suppose to be humidity-controlled but 85% of the time the door to pull into the building is not working and is left open for days and weeks at a time (they always say they are waiting on a part to have it fixed). Why has the door been broken and left open 7 times in 2024? Also, the rent increases every 5 months. Yes, the staff is friendly, but they can't maintain this facility, but the staff and management/owners are rarely at this location in person or answer the phone. When it was owned / managed by a different company 7 years ago, this place was top-notch and secure. They had visible cameras and monitors throughout the building, event on the first floor where the elevators are. Now, the only monitors are in the office. If you're renting here because it is humidity-controlled or has A/C, you're wasting your time and money as the door is always broken and left open so renters/customers can enter to load/unload their belongings. I recently needed some help at the Public Storage facility in Chesterfield, MO. Diane took care of my issues. She was amazingly helpful, friendly, and patient.

Long time user of this place. Everything is great but the lack of cart situation has become unacceptable. This 3 story facility is only accessible to upper levels by elevator. With NO carts this becomes extremely difficult. Please solve this problem! Edit: Cart situation has become worse. The last 8 times I have been here there were no carts available to use as they are all locked in the office.

Diane has been great as we have settled into our new home in Chesterfield. She is always friendly and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend Public Storage. It is safe, affordable, and convenient. The property manager, Diane was extremely helpful, professional, and very knowledgeable.

Diane was awesome. She helped us work through issues on a reservation that was made by phone and got me exactly what I wanted.

Shannon took the time to walk me through the whole process. And the facility is very nice also

Very helpful staff. Diane offered to help move my things and is going to clean my unit for me once I vacate my large storage area :) and move to a smaller storage area :) Shannon was also very helpful

No one works at this location. the office is always locked and no one pick up the phone. Good luck with all the automation. Gates will not open. No one around to help. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. This has happened to me multiple times. I hate this location. Use any other location.

The place is always tidy and the units are nice, but it's a pleasant surprise when BOTH of the doors work. There's always something awkward you have to do to get in or out of the dang place.

All I can say is don’t be late. Because it’s an extra $60 and also they will not prorate on move out date. But other then that I had no problem with going to work on my vehicle. Also they have certain hours you can visit so if your a late night person that wants to work on your vehicle this place is not for you.

Unfortunately the prices just continue to go up non stop since public storagetook over. In 3 years my monthly price has doubled. I'm getting no extra services or amenities. Greatly built facility and very clean, just strongly dislike the constant price increase.

I showed up at 830 last night to find the bay door wide open. There is noone to call in an emergency. I spent almost an hour trying to decide what to do and then today I get a text from them complaining that I was there after hours. When I drove by this morning, the bay was still wide open! you think you pay for climate controlled secure storage, Thats a joke! They need an emergency contact number. I was about to call the police but didnt want to waste their time. If I had the time this week I would empty my units and move to another faciliity.

I had some difficulty with the online account setup and Melinda was very helpful at the Chesterfield MO location.
