The staff are fine, the company isn't great. The prices go up every few months. My rent on my previous started at $136 for a 5x15 in July 2022 and by November it was $173 and finally $197. I decided to downsize to a 5x10 Feb 2024 and started at $61 with insurance. I got a notice today that the rate is going up again in Aug 2024 to $77. I'm going to be looking at alternative places because this pricing is a scam.

I have rented storage at the Public Storage 36th ave New Hope MN location multiple times over the years and I have to say that the service that I received was EXCELLENT! The manager of the facility Mary Rose was very helpful and went out of her way (even when they were closing and I was late) to help me with my unit rental. Public Storage should be lucky to have such a great manager running that facility! In fact at one time I witnessed a very strange person yelling at her and Mary Rose handled the situation with absolute grace and kindness with such a professionalism that I had to tell her later that I was impressed by her calm demeanor and professional courtesy during such a stressful moment. Some people can be very difficult, but Mary Rose handled that situation amazingly and didn’t miss a beat to come help us out afterwards! I can’t thank you enough Mary Rose! So grateful for the service I received at this Public Storage! Five stars from me! Thank you so much for helping us through a difficult move!

Scam! Predatory! Started the storage price at about $70 per month. 2 years later they are charging over $200 per month. They count on the fact people won't be able to/ want to move their stuff. They take advantage. I DO NOT RECOMEND!

Every time I come to this place nobody’s there it says 9 o’clock they open I go to make a big payment and I get there at nine and I leave at 10:30 still nobody should just going somewhere else

Mary Rose and Lisa have been wonderful with helping me through a very tough situation. They have been nothing but honest with me about on how to get my name taken off of my account and my sons name put onto the account. Even though I’m in a tough situation they have been nothing but friendly and very educated about their policies. I highly recommend Public Storage in New Hope, MN because these ladies are phenomenal.
Worst manager ever. Had to get a locker under my moms name cuz my id wouldn’t work so I was told that I would still be able to access the gate and my locker but nope that wasn’t the case. The manager lied cuz next thing I know I’m not allowed to access my things in the locker that I’m paying for cuz my mom “legally” owns the locker just cuz her name is on it first even though I was listed as emergency contact like the manager told us to do. Long story short don’t get a locker in some else’s name cuz the manager will lie and say u have access but really I guess u don’t.

Mary rose was very helpful there was garbage left in the unit I rented she did not hesitate to grab a broom and dustpan and clean it up before I started loading stuff in there she also answered all my questions with out any problems and walked me threw on how to use everything

Just a horrible experience!! Get you to rent from them with low rent promotion deals and advertisements only to double your rent the next month. If you have questions they are happy to give you a 1-800 number so nothing can be resolved. The same month they doubled my rate they had a promotion at the same location, same size unit as mine, for less than half of what they raised my rate.
If you question the rates going up they all say the same thing, the housing industry and inflation. Or they lie and tell you it's because vacancy is so low.
Just scam artist's at work.
I would save yourself some time and money and find somewhere else to store your belongings...that's what I'm doing.
