Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 30340 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI

So I rented a unit for my husband and I in October 2021. When we first rented it was only $99 a month, now it's $223. Never got a warning that it was going up in price, nothing. It had a full apartment in it. Couches, chairs, dining room table with the matching chairs, bar stools, TVs, TV stands, all my decorations for each holiday, that's just a start of the furniture, also had very sentimental things like my daughters book of like her first steps things like that. My husband and I wrote in it, all my letters and cards between my husband and I. My husband passed away in December so this was extremely painful when I heard that there was a fire and my unit was a complete loss. Now I have one tiny box of his stuff instead of a whole storage unit of it. Insurance money would be amazing, but it won't replace the thousands, I mean thousands of dollars in furniture, and the sentimental value of my husband's things. I will be fighting for the max amount even if I have to lawyer up and go to court

If I could give a Zero I would. I rented here for 1 year (July 2023 to July 2024). During this time, this is what happened to me: 1. The light in my unit never worked and they could not get anyone to replace the bulb. I went a full year without a light. So there’s your maintenance 2. The outside door was broken for months where anyone could just walk in. One door is still broken. There goes security. 3. The elevator for the second floor has been broken for a month with no estimated date to fix. I was on the second floor and I hated this place so much, I moved out using the stairs. 4. They raised my rent $45 in 12 months and I’m sure they were ready to do it again. I was told by one person to plan atleast $20 to $30 every 6 months. 5. The place constantly smells like marijuana. Not just at the doors. Actually inside everywhere. 6. There is never the same person working there. I would go in to address the above and it was always someone new saying “I’m sorry, I’m from another location and I will note account”. This is if anyone was even there. Final note: I did the auto pay and they got paid every month on time. I never turned it off all the way until I left. So no excuses for the above when they were paid. I would not recommend this place and good luck if you do.

Heather at Public Storage was polite, professional and very thorough. She asked all the right questions regarding size of unit and if I had enough packing materials. She even offered very helpful suggestions. Facilities were clean, well-maintained. I can always count on my beloved possessions being safe when I leave them in a Public storage facility.

Shopping around for a storage facility and chose this one because of Heather's great service! I ask alot of questions and she was quick with an answer and very honest. You won't be disappointed with Heather if you need assistance! The facility was also clean, unlike others in the area. Thanks Heather!

I was going to rent until i saw roaches in the building i was completely disgusted and could never bring myself to try to rent here again

I literally booked for 2 hrs, changed my mind found something better. They would only give the refund for the lock and took the rest of my money. I will never use this place again. Be sure because they will take your money and not refund it…

It's just a good place for short storage..

Absolutely the worst customer service and the rudest woman behind the counter. Consistently closeing before 6pm. My 86 year old grandmother came into purchase a few large boxes. Woman refused to help her get them out to the car that was literally parked right outside of the door. My father, 68, who has severe diabetic neuropathy and has braces on his legs got out of the car to help my grandmother and proceeded to fall in the parking lot. Yes I know this was not the establishments fault but the woman who sat inside and watched this all happen proceeded to come to the door, lock it and sat back behind the counter. She couldn't even be bothered just to ask if these two elderly people were ok or if any help was needed. Just plain disrespectful. We do have a storage unit here as well and will be promptly moving everything out this week and going to a place that cares about their customers.

If I could leave -5 I would. First of all the storage is not prorated which I was never told. On top of that there is no carts if you want to have a cart to move some of your stuff you have to ask for one at the whole property that is in the office. The manager of this location is just rude chooses not to do the job that she is required to do especially explaining to some of the customers how everything works. I wish I knew all of this before I rented a unit from this place. Never again will I rent any units from public storage ever again

I called to see how much it was for a 10 x 10 storage unit they quoted me a price of 120 with tax and everything it came to 140 my brother and his wife got their unit two days later I called to get my unit they sent me an email telling me that my price was now 189 went into speak to the lady on the day that I was putting my stuff in the storage unit she tells me my price is now 210 I asked why she said because the price fluctuates this is at 5:45 PM they close at six I have a truck full of things to put in a storageI am stuck everybody’s closing at six I have to have the truck back at U-Haul at eight I was stuck so now I’m paying 210 a month instead of 140 not happy As far as I’m concerned this was a scam if you see an ad in the newspaper from milk for 250 a gallon you get to the store it’s now five dollars a gallon don’t they have to honor that price guess if you want a storage unit you don’t

Very, very, very, very, very dirty. Unit had broken plastic, and all kinds of garbage on the floor when we went to move in. The keys and lock were in there as promised, so whoever put those in, had to have seen the garbage and just left it for us. We were also greeted with the rodent deterrent bags in the corners of the unit, not a good sign. Door to go in the storage building looks like it had been chewed by rats. Carts are locked up front in the office if you happen to go in the evening (after 5), so you are out of luck. We paid for the month, we didn't even use it. Got a unit at another storage facility, too many red flags here.
