This is the WORST storage place ever. They are more than likely NEVER there, they mix up people storage units and put locks on the storage unit when the balance is zero I was locked out my storage for a week even after paying the main doors to the storage is always locked. I’m constantly missing out on money because of these problems they need someone else in charge or they need to be shut down this is diabolical 😒
I heard back from the customers service department and they put in a claim to have my rate reduced to the original rate I should haven’t gotten and 3 weeks into this still no solution and my second bill at the higher bare and switch rate is becoming due. The entry door to the facility has been broken since in moved in and our units are not secure if someone can just enter at will.
I’m a few days into renting this unit and it’s been a screaming nightmare. It’s not so much the guy onsite it’s the people on the telephone. I talked to so many different people and ended up getting a rate more than what I was expecting to get online, because they have customer service reps who are clueless and reads from a script. I got caught in their web of untrained customers service reps and paying a higher rate and can’t get anything done because they are sticking to the script they are reading. If you can’t go in to sign a contract and even sign up for an online rate do it in the presence of someone in the office. But do not book a unit online and ask questions with untrained staff.

Sometimes it's hard to get the cart to move items into my unit. And my first week was very bad because there was no access to the unit after six o'clock due to power failure. Hopefully, moving forward. I think everything will be okay.

I been trying to access my storage for over a week and every time I go the key box is not working i was told thats because the power is out and there’s nobody at the office and the property manager is not answering the phone .!
I ended up reserving a unit a night before and when I went in the next day, there was no power and I couldn’t access the unit and they wouldn’t give me a full refund
Horrible experience I had to move out on a Tuesday wasn’t able to move out until Friday. Had to get a whole Nother U-Haul truck paid twice as what I was supposed to no customer service at all nobody to reach out to nobody to tell you what’s going on when your electricity is gonna be back on or nothing .I do not recommend going to public Storage on Dearborn
I got the storage this past Sunday and I have not been able to gain access too it because of the power beening out and still haven’t been able to put the rest of my stuff in their
Save yourself the headache and go to a different location. Nobody ever answers the phone, calls back in regard to messages, IF someone decides to show up to work that day the door will be locked and they won’t come open it to talk to you. For the past couple weeks they have had a power outage so you can’t even access your unit but are expected to pay $74 monthly? 😂 worst storage unit I’ve ever had.
I called 3 days prior to needing to retrieve items from my storage unit regarding the return of my lock and how to go about it as I was coming over from Canada and would not be there during their office hours because of an early flight. Shannon returned my call the next day and informed me that they were having issues with their power and it was quite possible that I would not be able to gain entry to retrieve my items because of the power issues. She went above and beyond and met me there at 7:20 in the morning and also gave me her cell number to ensure that I could reach someone when I arrived. . This is exceptional service. I would highly recommend this property and they are lucky to have Shannon, a gem of an employee. My only critique would be that corporate should inform people that have rented units of the issue. Had I not called prior, I would not have been able to access my items for a trade show or would have missed my flight. It would have been a loss of $10,000 plus loss of revenues. Thank goodness for Shannon for saving the day! I hope she gets recognized for her exceptional service!!!!
I was charged for a space that I did not take then the manager only gave me a partial refund. After saying it was canceled initially. Very bad service

Went in to secure a space on Labor Day. Anthony was so helpful! Answered all my questions, in person and by phone. Showed me two spaces so I could make the best choice and was patient and kind throughout the whole process. Appreciate the great customer service!

The Public Storage employees were all very pleasant and helpful. When I lived in Chicago the employees never went to get equipment for me. One went and got the dolly for me to assist me with stacking my boxes so I would have enough room for more boxes and other items.
