I just got a phone call from a woman who works for Public Storage asking me why I was there past the time that they close. I explained I thought the time was different, that they close at 10PM and that another customer who was inside told me they close at 9PM, so I left. I’m giving 1 star just for her. She was rude, bad spoken, poor customer service. She is doing a disservice to this unit in Holton, because the rest of the employees are actually really nice and the place is nice and well maintained. They should hire better people to call us, customers. So there you have, lady who would not say her name, who call me today at 9:59 AM. Next time, be polite. Isn’t hard. :)

No carts, you only can access with ID until they open the office. If you need something before 9am you won’t be available to get a cart. That’s ridiculous with a big facility the should have enough carts. Previous owners were way better.

So bad schedule and don't explain correctly
Recently moved into a unit that became vacant the day before. Bemnet is a customer service hero and knows how to accommodate customers. If I had a business that required customer interface, I would hire HIM to represent and be the face of my company! Very thankful for people like him and would highly recommend working and talking with him to resolve your storage needs!
For reference, Bemnet helped me secure a very favorable unit close to the entrance. I have extremely heavy mechanic things (wheels, engines, hoists, etc). Without his help the computer would have generated and assigned me some random unit on that floor… Again very grateful for his help. Some of his colleagues are not as skilled in serving others but I’m sure he will run off on them ;) Praying for a sweet relationship with PS into the future.

Horrible place, but seem to have taken over storage market here. High prices that keep going up, there are almost never carts to use and they have breakdowns if their security constantly but still expect you to meet your contract obligations when they are not.
I have had a response from Public Storage, and I must update this information. Public proactively reached out and addressed some of my concerns and Gave me access to contact them to resolve future issues. I am impressed with their customer service which was non-existent with the company that previously operated these facilities.

My rent went up a lot after Public Storage took over from ezStorage. Pest problems also vastly increased.
Recently, I received a shady phone call from an employee on site claiming I needed to come down in person because I “missed” initialing something in my lease, and he would not provide me with what clause I had supposedly missed. I had signed the lease electronically through ezStorage years ago and still had a copy of it. No initials were missing. So why call me and lie to me to get me to come down for some other reason? This isn’t how to conduct business. I came in to check on my stuff, and found way too much rat poop and urine all over and IN my belongings and all over the space. Decided right then and there to rebag what could be salvaged and threw the rest of it away. Came home and cancelled my lease. Glad to be out of there.

Mixed feelings/review!! I'm a long time customer for over a decade. I'm giving 2 reviews in one. The newest staff, Sal, is extremely patient, pleasant and very accommodating to renters. He's easy to work with and I give him 5 stars!!. For years, this location was one of the best managed & clean. However, since Public Storage has taken over, especially the last year, finding a cart to load your belongings has been extremely frustrating and is unacceptable. They have mice issues/weird smells on some floors and I believe the Corporate iisn't doing enough to correct these issues yet they keep jacking up the rent every 5-6 months. It's a sad state of affairs.
I came in after a long day, moving furniture I was greeted by Sal who was very helpful and friendly.
The customer before me was very rude but Sal was still very patient with him. before I completed my order, I had to leave and come back. When I returned, so had another rude customer, and he was very patient with that person as well. I felt bad because you could tell his lunch had been sitting on the counter, and he hadn’t had a chance to eat it for the last few hours but after working for hours, without even having a break, Sal was still very patient, and took his time to explain every detail to both myself and the other customers in a very welcoming way. I recommend coming to sign up on days when Sal is around. Also, bring your hand truck there is only one provided here for everyone to share.

I chose to stay in this place because of its proximity, easy acessesability, safety, cleanness, and the quality of service that I received from the management who work in this.
All in all, again and still I want to thank the workers for their restless effort to satisfy us.
Really, to tell the truth, my appreciation for these workers is beyod my this statement. When I see how they handle the customer, fairness & openness, how they manage the property in a professional way, just simply I can say that they are the gift of the company.

Just had the unit 3 weeks. Never got the free month. Went to go grab a few items only to see nice/rat droppings in my bags!!! What in the heck!! I grabbed a book to read only to see the mice/rats had been chewing on it. This is freaking ridiculous. Of course now I must nervously go and pull my items out of my unit and shake every daggone thing out and repackage it in zip closure packaging hoping that will keep them out of my items. I have yet to understand all the rat mice infestation that seems to an issue here in various cities in PG county. Looked at 12 apartment complexes all had rodents. Insurance or no insurance, public storage needs to combat the issue. I don't know of other locations but this one definitely has rodents. I'm definitely getting my things out of there ASAP.
