This place, like most storage places in New Orleans area it seems, runs a bait and switch scam. I have been a responsible renter. Have rented for probably two years now. I was just notified my monthly rent is increasing again, this is probably the 4th or 5th time. They now are charging me $205 a month for a 10x10 unit, the same exact type of unit they are luring customers in right now on their website for $85 per month. I am canceling and never coming back. So just as a warning for those out there looking to rent, don’t get fooled by their low prices on the website. They WILL jack up the price within a few months after you move all your stuff in.

I arrived here right now to use my storage service and then there is a huge truck, which in addition to covering half the space at the entrance to the storage, which is narrow, it is a large move that they are going to take out of there and they are using all the helper cars so I could not get my things down because obviously I need a car and there is none available, they have very few cars in use and so in this light-hearted way is how people waste time and do nothing with their time because I cannot go up to my storage room without a helper, which is a small car. I wasted time when this was necessary. They are going to have to have some kind of staff that controls this type of situation, because the most vulnerable are those affected, so why pay for storage if at the time you need it you cannot make good use of it because another client is occupying not only half the road but also all the helper cars. of the two buildings

My experience with Mrs. Dashauna at the public storage location and citrus blvd has been amazing She was extremely helpful and had an amazing personality. I’ve been to several storage companies recently and this location has most definitely had a positive experience in moving.

This storage space is amazing and Ms Dashauna is so sweet and helpful! She sat and spoke with us and helped us figure out what storage size we needed! It’s at a super convenient location and a very nice loading area. I definitely recommend this location to anyone!

Dashauna was wonderful! I was trying to find the right storage unit size and she took the time to show me all the options and was even able to find an easily accessed unit on the property! This is not the normal online storage rental, go inside and talk to them, she will help you out!

It's a clean, seemingly secured facility - that aspect of it is great. But the rates increase every few months, without notice nor reason. Thirteen months ago I rented a 10x10 unit for $109 a month, now come next month my rate is $171. NEVER have I been late. In fact, I've been paying via auto-pay. I live on Social Security and have very little left after bills are paid so it's getting too expensive to keep the unit. Furthermore I have another storage unit with Fort Knox across the lake in Mandeville. Been having that unit, of which the same size, for nearly 15 years now and only paying $127 and my rate never been raised - not once. So now I'm trying to get the funds and help together to clear out the unit with Public Storage and go elsewhere. $171 and the constant increases are too steep for me.

Increasing rates with a broken exit door. Exterior doors are not locked overnight. Easily double the rate of nearby storage units, before the most recent rate increases. In just over a year I've had a unit there, I have only seen the exit door work correctly for maybe 3 months. If you want a discount because the door is broken and you cannot exit properly, turn off auto payments they'll call you to see if you're moving out, then issue a $10 a month discount for 3 months. Otherwise, you have to call either the customer service corporate or a general manager. GM won't call you back, it's a hassle for $25 off from the corporate customer service. I've wanted to move out for over 3 months but with the exit door broken that entire time, I can't get a large vehicle with trailer in there to load my things out. I intentionally rented at a place that had a PULL THROUGH loading area, but it's constantly unusable. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! IT IS A RIP OFF.

I had a great experience with public storage today! ms Dashauna assisted me with everything I needed and made sure I was taken care of. She had no problem showing me the unit and explaining the prices to me, as i was a bit confused . My unit was clean and she found me the perfect location even though someone had taken the unit I wanted she still accommodated me. I’m happy I chose to go to that location

I just moved my things into a unit at Public Storage on Citrus. KiKi waited on me and was Very helpful and friendly!! Unit was clean and very easy to access. I’m much happier with this storage company as opposed to my last which was much more expensive, further away, smaller and almost never had a dolly for moving things. I recommend them highly!

She was cleaning the property and cleaning up a mess that someone made by the dumpster area as soon as she seen me pull up she come straight to assist me in my move. THE WORST.

I was initially fed up with public storage to the highest, after leaving a review they reached out to me to resolve any issues and or problems with my storage, I worked In customer service 10+ years and the care and concern that was given is by far the best.. I would highly recommend this location. The staff is very knowledgeable location is clean!!

I arrived at this site with some doubts to rent the space so I went down to request information and I had high expectations, I was attended by an extremely friendly and efficient woman. Her name is Kiki, and she was very good to me, she showed me the spaces, she gave me the explanation of each space and everything that the Public storage has. It is a great place, with a lot of security and from what I see the staff is incredibly good, well prepared and friendly. Thank you Kiki you are the best!

Easy to sign up for, easy checkout, clean facilities, friendly staff, no problems moving items in and out. The price was reasonable.

I am not a public storage fan and really don’t like the fact that at times there’s no carts available and yesterday when I went both doors were wide open and never closed and I pay for the extra protection and don’t feel like I’m getting it. I would not recommend this place. If it wasn’t so hard to change I would change

Tonya, the manager at the Citrus Blvd, Elmwood, LA location, is knowledgeable, understanding, interested in helping to fulfill the customer’s needs, very nice and patient. I visited many storage locations until this one and Tonya is by far the absolute best at her job.

Tonya customer service was great

It is inconceivable how this facility has so many glowing reviews. The broken access door, the unavailable carts (that they claim were stolen by someone during the months long security cameras being nonfunctional, but was told, "it wouldn't matter, the manager would be too lazy to review the footage to find out what happened to them anyway"). The waning dead rat smell on the first floor is finally becoming less pungent is an improvement. The last straw comes with the overcharging of my monthly and their inability to do math. My rent was $75 - now $103 for less services amenities but way more attitude... when I went in to ask about it, I was told if I didn't like it, I could move my stuff. That the ownership\management couldn't care less - no attempt was made to explain it, I was told any attempt to speak with anyone else would not resolve the issue of the attached "fuzzy math" that adds, 90-15 to equal 103. Do yourself a favor, store your things elsewhere.
