I have been renting a unit from the Evanston Public Storage location for about 2yrs. One of the main reasons I keep a unit there is because of the store manager, Andre. He is always professional and courteous. He keeps me up to date on any changes that might involve my unit. On top of that. He is always on his feet walking the premises and cleaning the facility. He really does his best to make sure his store is up and running in well and maintained condition

No respect for peoples time. Out here waiting on some staff to show up to work. Arrived 9:30 supposedly the time they open. Here I am 10:30 no one is here. Customer service can’t help with anything over the phone besides charge you money, they’re very quick with that. Public storage management fails in many ways again. Store somewhere else every other place nearby has someone in office waiting to help you not the other way around.

Staff is super helpful and friendly, especially Pat dealing with us changing our minds so many times. Facility is really clean and well lit, and the hours they're open are very convenient (better than the hours for the one by my home). The app makes entering and leaving easy, too, especially when we forgot our gate code.
I secured a unit today for an upcoming move. Pat in their office went above & beyond in helping me in an incredibly stressful time!

I won a unit at the online auction. Auction ended at 9:00 I called that 9:30 and 10:00 no answer. I drove out there got there at 11:00 and the guy told me that the items were removed 3 days ago. Thanks for wasting my time and gas

Bad experience. We rented the unit on the first floor of Greenbay Rd. We rented it, and when we actually went to place our items in the unit a couple of months later, there was black mold all over the walls. We never put our things there and vacated immediately, but the company still wanted to charge us for the month. I gave them the opportunity to rectify the situation by refunding our payment, but they decided that it wasn't worth it. Poor facilities and customer service. I strongly recommend against using this company.

Employees at this Public Storage location on green Bay Road in Evanston, IL have always been courteous and helpful. The facility is immaculate, well-lit and climate-controlled. We've rented a unit here for four years and never had an issue. It has suited our needs very well.

Moved in 3 months ago and with less than 30-day notice, got hit with a 48% price increase which made me move out instantly. The only reason they get 3 starts is because of Andre. He is the glue that holds that place together.
I have been renting at the Evanston Public Storage location for about a year now. I have never had any problems there but, recently I had an issue where my account was charged twice. After speaking to Andre, who is the site manager. He expressed his apologies for the mishap and acted promptly to rectify the issue, and he did just that. He was very professional and polite to speak with. Thanks again, Andre!

Horrible layout and poor directions trying to find storage unit. Obviously someone who did not know how to count planned these units. It starts at 1001. then 1201 with directions for all the 12oo's but no mention of the 1000's or even the 1100's. Hopefully I will not regret chosing this location when there are SO many choices but this has started off horribly!
This review is for Andre at the Green Bay Road facility. He was knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and friendly. I was in the middle of a move, I had a flat tire, and I could not find my account information for the storage unit. He calmly helped me. Then he dealt with some weird moving guys I had hired, while I went and got my flat tire fixed. Truly a professional guy. I can’t speak to anything else about this storage facility, but my interaction with Andre was extremely helpful! He made a bad situation better.

I had gotten a rent increase after never having gotten one before and I called this location. I spoke to Alyssa and she got me back down to my original price in a matter of seconds, absolutely love public storage and their employees were very helpful!

This place is perhaps the worst storage facility we have ever had. The building where our unit is has absolutely no security. Once someone gets in by jumping the very low fence they can just open the door to one of the buildings and walk in. The elevator does not have a security pad. Speaking of the elevator, the alarm was on, no one was resolving the issue, there was no worker at the front office for the duration of our visit, even though his jacket was on the chair. The elevator was dirty, the hallways were dirty. We weren't even supposed to get this unit, we had made a reservation at Skokie and when we went to sign the paperwork somehow we were assigned this location. I would not recommend this place at all.
My Unit Started Out At $45.00 a month they went up to $85.00 per month within 6 months it's dusty, ice cold you get stuck in the elevator daily which has not been inspected since 2019 - 2020 The call button is not connected to the office you just have to wait until it starts working again! They've locked me out of the gate after a woman ran over my foot and I told her I think it's excuse me! She looked at me like I did something wrong so I kicked the cart only to be attacked with her knee in my back! Being a black female of course they took sides with the Karen! They better refund me $42.50 of my $85.00 paid for a unit I can't get in because my code dose not work on the gate! That's illegal and I will take them to court! I'm the one that was assulted not the white woman!

The good reviews are super fake. They ask you to write a good review when you first get there. However; the facility is loaded with mold. It’s all over the walls and exterior so please, for the love of god, don’t put your stuff here. This facility should be closed. The employee Shonda even saw all the mold and agreed.

This place is the best! Andre is absolutely amazing and can help you with anything and everything. There’s lots of space and the hallways & units are well-kept. Andre recommended I get a tarp and some anti-humidity cups, which I definitely needed. I’ve had a lovely experience with this storage place and will definitely be coming back!

Just wanted to take a minute and give a shout out to Andre who called me to let me know I hadn’t put my lock on correctly the other day. He caught it immediately and luckily everything was still there. Andre always answers my questions and goes out of his way to address concerns. He is always friendly and patient and professional with the customers and goes out of his way to help. Shonda is a recent addition but only have great things to say about her too.

Andre is amazing! I had rented a large storage unit after our home went into contract, and then, just days before the closing, had to rent a second storage unit ASAP! Andre was so VERY helpful. He worked quickly to find us a second unit. He definitely went “Above and Beyond” and provided outstanding customer service. Public Storage has a real gem in Andre!!
