Steve was very helpful. I cannot say enough about this guy. He’s kind, polite and was very helpful. I had problems with a storage unit that was incorrectly set up at a different location. And over charged twice. Customer Service was not able to resolve the issue. Steve reversed the double charges and set our request for the current location. We got our money back too. He had to stay over time but he was pleasant through the whole process. Thank you Steve for the hard work you do.

UPDATE 9/3/24: The district manager called me and was really nice said she’d take care of it and lower it to the last payment of $179. Seemed more concerned about me removing this post. I said when I see the price reduced and I don’t taste the poison in my mouth when I return that’s when I’ll go ahead and remove this post. Fast forward this past weekend had a gentleman call me in regards to my conversation with her and asked me to remove the post. Well, I went to see the unit, the smell is gone but there are holes in my boxes and baby blankets with holes that we had to throw out due to rodent feces and damage. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I get my bill and it was reduced THIS month to $179 and says next month will be $244.
Added the screenshot below from tonight. I’m extremely disappointed with the constant calls to remove this post and no resolution. Needless to say, I will be removing all my things and taking my business elsewhere where they care about customers health in their facilities and stick to their word about the reduced cost. Really aggravating and disappointing!
Had one of the big units and moved into a smaller 10x10 unit due to rent being raised after only being there a few months. Then the rent was raised another TWO times in a year went from $135 to $244. Went there today since it’s been a year and just wanted to grab a couple things and as soon as I open the door, a dead baby rat still wet and rotting. Pictures attached. I have rat feces all over my belongings. And the smell of rat poison nearly gave me an asthma attack. They need to have professionals come and not just set out rat poison everywhere in the open. I’m not paying $244 a month to have my belongings ruined! This was pretty upsetting after raising my rent three times in total in a year. Been there two years now. Please fix your rodent issue!

Steve was a lifesaver! My daughter and I turned up with a hospital bed on wheels. First we had to change the size of the unit I had reserved—because the bed was too big to fit in the initial unit. A great experience renting a storage locker at this location thanks to Steven the manager. I visited first to see the unit that I was interested in renting to ensure it was the correct size. Steven escorted me to the unit, assisted me in measuring the space and upon confirmation the space would work for my storage needs, I proceed to rent the unit. I was very impressed with Steven’s customer service professionalism and management of the facility. He keeps the property clean and watches out for abnormalities regarding storage units. While we were on vacation, Steve called to let us know that my husband put the lock on the door incorrectly, which made it available for anybody to open it. We weren’t coming home for a few days and there was no one available for to send to re-lock it, so Steve kept an eye on it until we were able to return and lock it correctly. What a great relief when you’re thousands of miles away. I highly recommend this public storage facility And I highly recommend manager Steve. Thank you for watching over our stuff for the last year.

My experience was terrible! I thought the person that assisted me was honest and up front. I’m afraid it turns out that Steve, who works at 8050 McCormick in Skokie, IL overcharged me for the few days that I used Public Storage and I never received my full refund. I’ve learned that people are not always what they appear to be.🙁

Of the several storage facilities we toured, Public Storage was the most economical both in cost and style. They are not the cleanest or most buttoned up, but the prices are competitive.

I was able to secure my 5 x 10 unit online and use the phone app to gain access. The on-site manager, Steve was very courteous. He took the time to personally assist me with finding and using my storage unit. He also provided detailed information on contract particulars. It was refreshing to have a professional like Steve provide information and assistance that makes using the facility more welcoming and convenient.
