Elgin Storage Units Along State Street
It's easy to find the perfect self storage unit for any occasion at this Public Storage in Elgin.
Conveniently located on the east side of State Street just south of Big Timber Road and roughly a mile from Interstate 90, this facility offers indoor storage units, outdoor storage units and climate controlled storage units in all different sizes. There are also rental parking spaces for vehicle storage.
A 5x5 storage unit is a great place to keep recreational gear, including baseball equipment for all of those Little League games at Wing Park.
Just west of the banks of the Fox River, a 10x10 storage unit is great for businesses along State Route 31 to keep extra office supplies, equipment or inventory nearby.
Families on the north side of town, as well as near Almora or Kimball Middle School, can take advantage of a 10x20 storage unit to empty out all of those boxes from the garage, basement, spare bedroom or home office, with plenty of room to spare.
The rental office, open 7 days a week, also sells packing supplies for customers who may also need moving boxes, bubble wrap and other assorted items. The property manager also lives on site at this location.

I've had a unit here for I think going on 4 years and previously posted a review criticizing their higher up district manager who I think wants people to have a family type feel but I just don't think his actions reflect that. However, the manager at this location completely saves the day. Paula is a completely genuine person who is always warm and inviting when communicating with her and seems to have a good rapport with other customers I've seen her talk to. I hope they realize what an asset they have with her as a manager at this location👍
Stored the contents of my entire house here while we relocated from IL to FL, a total of 8 months. Upon picking up our things, everything was covered in mold, and some electronics are broken due to high heat. So this place claims to be climate controlled, but it is far from it. Would not recommend that you store anything here that you don't want to throw away. We've now spent hundreds trying to mend the damage and Public Storage couldn't care less.

As being a 20 year customer and have rented. 10,20,s for my sports cars , I’ve been at the Elgin location since March past winter , Paula and Deniz have very accommodating as I visit to take my sports car out Paula was and is very accommodating very friendly and has always addressed any concerns I have had . I feel my car is in a very safe location , and the security is adequate .
