I was continuously harassed for a 'balance due' for a month that I didn't use, after I had moved out! I don't even know whether to call this incompetence or dishonesty. I checked out July 2024, and they tried to send me to collections for payment for August 2024! I am currently filing a complaint with BBB (Better Business Bureau) for the incessant harassment, calls from unknown numbers, etc. This is even after I, in good faith, made a 2-hour round trip to the location with all my evidence (long after I had moved out) to prove that I didn't owe them anything.
This is on top of delaying my move in by a few days by leaving a broken lock (I had paid for) for me, making me wait for a replacement before I could move anything in.

Do not rent here. Horrible experience overall. Rented a storage unit about 9 months ago and right away upon sign up the agent was asking us to give them a 5-star review just for getting us signed up. Moved in and within a month, all the rusted fences along the entry were taken down. It’s understandable that they were making repairs, but this lasted for multiple of our visits to the unit, while the building doors were wide open. Terrible security. A couple months ago, we came to pick up some stuff from our unit only to find used condoms right outside the doors to our unit. Part of it thrown over into our unit and landed on our things inside the storage unit. Called the office right away multiple times and left voice messages asking to clean this up. Never received a call back. Took days for the cleanup. Moved out last month, scheduled move out through the app and called the office for move out instructions. Left another voice message. Again, no answer and no call back. A week later, we receive a call with a reminder to make a payment for the next month. The agent explains that this is because our lock was left on the door. Directed to Justin, the district manager for help with the move out issue. Called and left a voice message. Again, no call back. They increased prices twice throughout our 9 months renting, moving carts always broken or unavailable when there is literally anyone else in the building moving at the same time, trash and random boxes left by our storage door many times. Very poor way to do business and treat your customers when the only time you hear from the business is to collect payment.

Sweet, informative, bilingual and so nice. I saw her talking with her hands helping a deaf person and how excited they both looked while doing .. well whatever cause I dont know that language. When she attended me she made me feel like I was important and that is so important for me.

I call the Des Plaines office of Public Storage and Spoke with Nick who was extremely helpful in walking me through the steps closing out my account and removing my items. He even went as far as scheduling a close out date for ending our lease agreement. We like Public Storage as a company but we love the people that go out of their way to assist - like Nick. This public storage location is probably one of the best storage facility staffs I’ve ever dealt with. When my moving company said that they couldn’t pull into the location and would charge me an additional 2,000, Tameka found me a storage unit that was on a side that they could get to and would cost me the same amount, within 10 minutes no less. Then later on when I wanted to downsize my unit to save money, she helped me through the process and was so helpful. I’ve never had such a painless experience with storage before. They’re awesome.

This place is easy accessable, equipment and elevators work great,spacious but most of all the customer service is incredible! I've been using this location for over 9yrs and Tamika checked me in, knew the answers to my questions off her head and was so friendly beyond compare. She was extremely helpful when I wasn't working and I kept in direct communication with her so she knew what was going on and helped me through a hard point in my life,I was struggling but I have a great job now and I can still keep all my things thanks to Tamika, your a life savior and a angel on earth! Not happy at all with my experience at this location. The workers never help, there is never any "rollers" to help you load things into & from your unit & they raise the price almost 2x or 3x a yr on customers. I know this cause when doing things at this location I spoke to MANY UNHAPPY customers & they had the same issues. I had the smallest unit they offer started off paying roughly $50 a month by the time I left a little shy of 2yrs later I was paying $111 a month. Any other Public Storage would be a better location than this one

I have had a storage unit at the facility for 2 years now and Temekia at the front remembered. I went in there today to downsize my storage unit because I didn't need that much space anymore. She's extremely friendly and very down to earth and it's an absolute pleasure dealing with her the second time around just as it was the first time.
As I was moving my belongings to the new unit the gentleman Nic asked if I needed any assistance which was completely unexpected and greatly appreciated even though I did not need the help. I just asked him for a broom so I can sweep out my old unit and when I walked back over there he went ahead and did it for me. He too was an absolute pleasure to deal with today. They made the transition to the new unit extremely smooth. I am very happy I decided to do business with this facility to keep my belongings safe.

Went to my storage unit to grab some items, left my code to access door at home and used the App to enter but phone died before I could leave so no way of exiting. Sarita came arrived for her shift at a little after 9 am and they don’t open until 930, she helped me get the gate open !!! Great employee, clean facility. Recommend

I've rented my units for several years already and so far everything was running smooth. Today, I moved out and Nic was quick to process my confirmation. He is friendly, patient, and he knows his work. I loved the area because of the proximity to where I live, and very accessible. They now have an app you can download to your phone to access your account, and remotely open the gate without getting out of your vehicle.
