McKinley Park Storage Units Near Stevenson Expressway
McKinley Park Public Storage is a great place to find a huge selection of cheap self storage in the southwest Chicago area.
Sitting on the east side of Ashland Avenue between Pershing Road and 35th Street, this location is near Interstate 55 and Interstate 90, making it a quick storage stop for customers throughout the area, including Brighton Park, Back of the Yards and Bridgeport.
Less than a mile south from the Ashland Orange Line stop, a storage locker is perfect for commuters heading in and out of the city who need somewhere close by to keep important business or personal items.

Update - while the people locally in house are amazing, the company is a complete SCAM. My original rate was $107, 6 months later they raised it to $151, at the 11 month marker they raised it to $190. They claim you can apply for financial hardship but that’s a scam too. The supervisor I spoke to on the phone said “you were a new customer, we don’t do that for new customers”. TOTAL scam.

They allow scammers to work out of the units. Scammers are using this as a business address for there untraceable fake and faulty products.
My vehicle that was parked in the secured parking lot was broken into and I found people living inside. That apparently happened 2 weeks prior. The store never called the police to file a report or reached out to me at any of my two contact methods on my account. Phone or Email. There is over $3500 in damage to the inside of the vehicle.

Everything was fine until I left. I moved out on 4 June and was informed that I would need to pay for the entire month, regardless of when I actually left. I asked that the cost of rent be prorated since I was leaving only four days from the beginning of the month and knew that they would be able to easily rent the space again. I cleaned out everything in my space on that Sunday and remove my lock.
The desk, clerk told me that she’d be leaving early that day, and would talk to the manager about the following day. Since it was a Sunday, I was called on Monday morning and the manager informed me that I owed for the entire month. I later received a bill stating that my move out date was not that Sunday, but on the 5th (a lie) and that I owed for the entire month.
This makes very little sense to me, and it was not explained upfront.
I am satisfied with getting a new space at this public storage location thank you Diamond for your assistance keep up the great work

This was my first time using a storage place and with new things I get anxiety for not knowing what to do or expect. Lynette and Diamond made that anxiety go away. They were so nice and will answer any of your questions and explain everything. They are really top notch with customer service. I’m glad I came to this storage area. You won’t regret it. Just small advice, for your fabric furniture definitely bring some covers to cover them. Since it is a warehouse there’s dust and debris that fall from other floors. Also make sure to download the app to make opening the doors easy. Especially the car/truck gate.

The facility is comparable with other places. My review is more employee based...I'm a new renter and having never rented a unit ever before, had no idea what I was doing. Diamond was EXTREMELY informative and walked me through everything. That being said I think upper management has a lack of work to do on this place. I’ve store my things here for four years. I got them out and there’s rat droppings all over everything. Pretty sure I’m going to have to throw half of my things away. I’m told that this has been a problem that was brought up to district manager a number of times and he never addressed it.
Diamond and Laquitha are amazing now we just have to get upper management to care about the condition of its facility and its customers the same way they do.

Fantastic customer service. The property manager Diamond was very helpful. She contacted me immediately after I reserved a unit online and set up a appointment for me to come in to view the building the same day. She explained everything thoroughly and even swept the small amount of dust in the unit right away. The building is quite large with lots of security measures and reasonable pricing.
This place is absolutely amazing the Manager on-site Diamond is simply amazing she made me feel very welcome I would recommend everyone to please do business with this location and ask for her she is awesome
