My good friend has the unit at Carol Stream Storage….. and she loves it! I ordered the 10’ by 10’ size and it was perfect for her furniture and extras…. She even had a fireplace and a rocking chair and a small freezer in her unit, she had a 1 bedroom apartment with large furniture 🪑🛌 🖥️ and the service is great 👍
poor customer service, called located more than 8 times leaving messages after a move out and still no response. To top it off I was charged another month.
My name is Irvin. Just changed my storage spot to another in the same facility. The on-site agent was very professional, explaining all/everything that I had to do in order to make the move. Paperwork went fast. I would recommend the Carrol Stream location to anyone needing space.

Friendly staff. Quick services. However, I don't agree with the pricing plans and the idea that each room is considered "real estate" and the business plan wants turn over and not really one individual remaining for a longer time.
This place (company) has gotten worse then ever. Told the person at move in I did not want autopay and it was still set up and ran my account negative. Tried to call to get it resolved and more than 4 people at the home office 800 number were completely unwilling to help. Asked for a call back from the property manager, never got a call. Do yourself a favor right now if you are reading this, pick cubesmart or storage-mart.

My name is Greg and the young lady that helped me was named Janie. She was great and when beyond. She was outside working doing her task of keeping the area clean, I didn't have an appointment. But I pulled up and asked her for help, she immediately stopped what she was doing and came and gave me her undivided attention. I needed to pay a bill and get a larger unit. I had a wonderful experience when I rented here about 7 months ago, with the manager at the time.
I didn't think that could be topped, but low and behold, when I went by last week to visit my unit, I ran into the same manager, I believe her name is Jammie, although it's probably not spelled correctly, sorry !
While there I inquired about some administrative changes (auto pay etc.) and possible extensions, rate reduction possibilities etc.
Much to my surprise and delight, Jammie came through AGAIN. She is truly one of a kind, with a terrific personality, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to serve and assist your customers. She is DEFINITELY the type of person I want representing my company, and if I wasn't retired, she WOULD be working for me. She is always responsive and willing to go the extra mile to satisfy her clients. She is OUTSTANDING in every respect and will be the reason that Public Storage, and her facility in particular, will always be tops on my list. I was a customer when I moved here about 4-5 years ago, and am back, as I now have a relocation out of Chicago, but need storage. After doing a quick online search, and a basic reservation, I received a very pleasant follow up voicemail from Jamie regarding my upcoming move. Since I was in the area I stopped in just as Jamie was arriving.
We’ll I can’t begin to tell you what a WONDERFUL experience it turned out to be, as we toured the facility, saw my unit, and she answered every one of my questions, and then some. I was SOOOO impressed with her service, professionalism and personality that I went home and grabbed the needed materials and came back to complete the check in.
Jamie was nothing short of OUTSTANDING in every respect, even juggling multiple customers with success.
I just observed a FIRST CLASS , customer oriented and personable representative who demonstrated how customers are to be treated. Kudos to her and thanks for the wonderful treatment. I look forward to doing more business with you and hope that you are recognized and rewarded accordingly. Keep up the great work !

I have been a long time rent over 15 years. They increased my rent once in a while. I use auto pay and did not pay attention. In May my rent was 238. When I did my tax last week I found out that they had increased my rent by 35% to 318. I called they said that they would adjust to $258 but would not retroactively make adjustment. The message is: the rent should be $258 but we scam you if you do not pay attention particularly long time customer and autopay

This is now my second bad experience with Public storage! John made some very inappropriate comments to my wife and asked for her phone number before we even had set up a unit! She was very bothered and upset. We will never try public storage again. And I will be reporting this!

John was great checking us in and swapping spots because my vehicle barely fit around the corner in the only isle that my truck wouldn't fit in the whole facility. Now I am in a spot that I can back right up to with plenty of space to turn around.

Absolutely the worst storage place you can choose.
- Got a 5 x 10 for $130 when I first moved in, within the year it jumped to $171 (not a big deal I’ll just find a place cheaper)
- Actively trying to leave and scheduled a move out on the app because the prices are high and the employees I talked to didn’t confirm the move out because a lock was on the unit. I was told they would take it off for me and everything is good to go. I then get a call ~15 days later saying I owe $202 for a storage unit that I don’t use. I swear to god the lady I spoke to on the phone said I have to pay because the employee didn’t do their job.
Now I’m gonna have to dispute and deal with this for some time.

I highly recommend this Public Storage because the service is excellent, location is convenient, the premises are clean and secure. I was so pleased and happy with my experience. Jammie the manager of this location is absolutely the best! She is helpful, kind, and informative.
The website was very easy to navigate allowing me to purchase my unit without going into the office. My access code was sent to me and when I arrived the lock and keys were waiting inside so that was contactless as well. The app had nice features that allowed me to pay online and access the property without entering in my access code which was nice while making multiple trips to the unit. Upon vacating, Jammie (sp?) was super nice and helpful! She answered all my questions and was able to provide me a print out that I requested so that was really nice. I would definitely recommend to others and will use their services in the future.

Was advertises to me that I would get 1 month free and confirmed that when I signed on. Was Still Charger for second month and when I called they said nothing could be done. Don’t trust their advertised specials.
Whenever I have come in, the ladies running the desk/office area, are just fantastic! They're short-handed as most places are, but the staff is friendly and accomodating. Julia, especially, has a pleasant attitude and was very helpful upon my visit today!
