Every few years I like to update how awful this location is.
Gate app rarely works, gate is often wide open for anyone to go in on, I got water damage from the AC on one of my inside units which they claimed was not covered, they constantly put ads/stickers on my lock blocking the water drain (I had to replace the lock twice), they claim you can bring your own and the $15 is refunded as you move out- then when I moved out they told me they don't actually offer that so no, you cannot bring your own lock, the site as a whole is not managed- in trees are growing in the gutters, door to one of my units barely opens and they refused to do anything about it, I tried to reserve a second unit and they decided it was a duplicate an cancelled my reservation then decided to charge me for it the next month (took 2 weeks of phone calls to fix that), my list could continue.
I don't have a choice- I have to use this location but my experience is worse with Public storage than -literally- any other company I have every worked with. This is a terribly managed company and this has to be one of the worst sites of theirs.
Worst. of. the. worst. If you can avoid it, do not do business.

I have been renting my storage unit for over 2 years now and the people complaining about the company secretly raising rent is no lie. It’s all true, little ol’ me can’t do anything about it so I just let them continuously take it out of my account automatically each month. Now I will say that moving in was simple, the lady that assisted me was extremely nice and made me feel at ease during the entire process. What more could I ask for? Let’s be honest, for that small storage I have, I would like for my rent to decrease because the amount I’m paying doesn’t match up with the small amount of space I have in that unit.
The check-in kiosk is so easy! The person that assisted me was very helpful! I'd forgotten a lock but Public Storage had me covered! They are very friendly and they have impeccable follow through! Thanks for the great experience!
Public Storage is a huge scam, in my opinion, especially with their bait and switch with their pricing scheme. My rent has gone up to close to $500 a month for a 10x25, and it is close to 200% of what they start out as. I'm actively setting up for a complaint to the Public Service Commission.
Also, it seems like they got rid of their best asset, a human, at the desk. Now you have a kiosk.
Also, every time I go there, the groundskeepers have blown about a shopping bag's worth of leaves, litter, pine needles and other assorted garbage into my unit, from the corners and underneath the door. This is not only annoying, it attracts spiders and mold.
Not a good value or experience, and generally a contemptible company running what will hopefully be found to be an ongoing bait and switch scam.
Not sure how this Public Storage Storage Facility has a 4.9 Review Rating. It has got to be fake reviews.
My initial experience was good. Initial set up and rental went smoothly. The on site manger was friendly and for the first few months I didn't have an issue.
My first gripe was when not being properly notified of my rent being raised. I was told that I had been sent a letter or an email of which I received neither. I understand rents are raised at times and its in the contract but I was not given proper notice.
The single biggest issue I had was the claim that the unit I rented is climate controlled. There is I learned a difference between temperature controlled and climate controlled and public storage needs to be more upfront about that. Georgia is a very humid climate and the unit was regularly over 80 and humid during the summer. I don't know how there isn't mold in every unit. I was not the only tenate with this issue.
Other than this, communicating with the company was basically impossible. The only representative I could ever speak with was the property manager who had no real authority or even seemed care to do anything for me. The manager wasn't understanding of my issue and offered no solutions or consessions other than a form to email someone. Not having someone to actually speak with on the phone is the single most important thing to me as far as customer service is concerned. Public storage needs more than an email feedback form. Companies that do this garbage are lazy, greedy and don't really care about their customers.
Due to this experience I will not be using your service in the future and I will specifically recommend to others to avoid public storage if at all possible.
