This is my first time renting a storage unit, and I had a wonderful experience with Destiny. I truly appreciated her service—she was kind, pleasant, and understanding. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of an incident with another lady (whose name I didn’t catch). She cut off my lock, entered the storage unit, moved one of my belongings, and even opened one of my bags. Not only did she fail to place everything back properly, but she also didn’t bother to zip up my bag. She explained that she cut the lock because she believed someone had moved their items into the wrong unit. If she had done her job properly, she would have known my unit was being used and should have informed me before cutting my lock. Despite this, my overall experience with Destiny was excellent, and I really appreciated her apology for the incident. Thank you, Destiny!

The storage room was hard for me to find but I did find it and it was enough space to put all my stuff in the only complaint I have is the gates the gates are not working properly and we almost got stuck in there one night when it was trying to leave out they need to work on updating their entry and Exit major problem.

Public Storage 3601 West Blue Heron Boulevard is a dump the people behind the counter don't know what they're doing my storage got broken into and I lost $5000 worth of tools and a dirt bike and got no help from anybody behind the counter made me feel like I was a burden to them this place is a joke I would never store none of my stuff there ever again

I've rented several large units here over the years and had a good experience. However my recent experience where I recommended this to my elderly mother in law turned out to be a bad move on my part. It started out good with getting the unit quickly and efficiently as I've experienced in the past. But from there it went downhill. The place is absolutely rat infested. As in completely rat infested. All of her stuff would have been ruined had we not packed in plastic bins. Anything not in bins got covered in rat droppings. Really the final insult was the audacity to raise a unit's rent that was under $150 a month to $250 in less than a year for the privilege of storing stuff in filth was disgusting in its own right. I'm glad they aren't my landlord for housing.

And if you go there you will be told by the workers that they have regular breaks in.
However that is not the worst part
They rent the units to multiple people collecting your bank information as if you are renting you a unit all so they can withdraw various amounts throughout the month.
Calling them makes no difference I have spoken to over 4 workers customer service and still money is being withdrawn.
Might have to get a lawyer involve to retrieve my money and all fees in order this scam to end.
For the Love of God DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
COMPASS STORAGE IS MORE AFFORDABLE AND CLEANER.

This place is a rat infested dump. I cannot believe it can somehow pass city inspection and stay in business. Not only were my belongings covered in rat feces and urine, we actually saw rats flee the space when we opened the door. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE.
This photo is just one of many that I have - just one corner, feces EVERYWHERE. The moving company I used was stunned, and they regularly go to storage units all over the place.
Also - the front exit gate is broken - no signs to let anyone know its broken, nothing. You have to use a back entrance to get out, and no signs to let you know. If someone had an emergency, this is a very, very serious hazard.

My husband was holding our wedding keep sake box and before he could place it on the floor tge box had a big hole chewed through it the box fell apart. Chantelle and the team at this Public Storage location did an outstanding of helping me in my hour of need, where I showed up at 10pm not realizing my items would not fit in the purchased unit, and not knowing what to do. But calling the first thing in the morning, Chantelle helped me immediately walk through the full system, even staying on the phone which I rented a larger space, changed the space and corrected the problem that I caused. She was incredible and wonderful - I cannot recommend this location and team enough.

I've been using Public Storage for both real estate and caregiving careers for over 20 years. In fact, I've used PS all over the country: Seattle, Washington DC, NY, Virginia, San Diego, etc. The West Blue Heron (FL) location has a heavy volume of private and commercial clients and yet they work harder than any team I've witnessed in keeping the place clean, up-to-date, secure. If anything is wrong at the site, it's the renters fault typically. Some pests are a result of food being stored by a unit. Trash and doors left open? The renters. I have a small climate controlled unit that has been maintained, painted, controlled for over 3 years. When there is an issue with a neighboring unit not following rules or protocols, the team of LeShawn, Chantelle, Roesha, Betty and the others jump on the matter. Outstanding customer service and pride in their work. Thanks you, Blue Heron Team!! I owe ya' my sanity.

Chantelle and Courtney are awesome!! I had an issue with my lock on my 10x25 unit and Courtney took at look at it for me. She made sure that my unit was secure. Chantelle assisted me with changing my 5x10 unit from one area on the property to another, near my larger unit. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional! I highly recommend this location!
Been there since 2019,Let me give you a short breakdown of the place..
They raise the rates every 3-6 months. Just received another increase from 407 to 563. Mind you It went from 267 to 407 in June 2022..
place looks as it’s a third world country, trash is everywhere homeless are staying on the property,
The sheriff’s is always on location, this pass April 19th around 11:30 4 guys cut a whole in the back fence lines walked to the front gate opening it up for a truck and stole my trailer and equipment. 2 day earlier they stole a power washer trailer value at 60,000. Week earlier a food truck was stolen.
The storage bays are infested with rats!!!
In the last month 2 truck batteries has been stolen, that makes 4 in the past year.
6 weeks ago someone broke out all the back windows of work trucks and stoled tools, phones, saw.
They no longer have door locks on the Inside storage,
Cameras don’t work.

My unit for over 3 years was inundated with rats at one point ,My unit was not climate control. I never had any food in there at all.I had to throw over half of my stuff away.
The newer manager is very nice She really cares about the customer, can't say that about the other manager who was there when I started the lease in 2019.

Rented this storage and within 3 days the lock was cut. Very poor locks on the doors if you call those locks at all. The locks are more like latches than can be pulled off with your hands. There are No cameras, no lights in some units. This is beyond poor security. My great grandmother could provide better security. DO NOT RISK IT!!!

Five years ago I rented a 10 x 15 unit from the exact location Blue Heron and and investment Lane. I was treated badly by the management team and had a horrible experience with an air handler leaking water and ruining our furniture. Now with the new management team of Chantel and Courtney two of the nicest people I have ever met at any storage facility in the state of Florida.finally some body who does what they say they’re going to do.

SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE TO ME FOR ONCE AGAIN FOR ASKING QUESTIONS! I ASSUMED THAT CUSTOMERS WERE ABLE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE UNIT THAT WE PAY FOR WITHOUT BEING MISTREATED! The 3 lovely ladies working at the Blue Heron Blvd. location on 3/3/22 were absolutely amazing and went ABOVE and beyond to help me re-locate to a larger unit that I needed. They never gave up their search for me and ended up finding me the perfect unit On South military trail. They were unbelievably helpful after my stay there of almost 2 years, and I would give them 10 STARS if I could!!!!!!!
