(This was following months of confusion and frustration.) They are the type of employees we all strive for.
I'm shocked by the amount of positive reviews for this facility. My elderly relative whom I'm leaving this review for has been renting a unit here for about a year and has had an endless stream of problems.
First, it was rats, then it was electrical issues that took MONTHS to be fixed. This is completely unacceptable, but there is no remedy for a renter for problems like this.
The biggest issue by far is rent increases. Rent goes up every six months. The rental agreement does state that they can increase rent at any time with 30 days notice. What they don't tell you is that it will absolutely go up every six months, and your starting rental rate can increase after a year to almost double what you started with.
It cost my relative all the savings they had to hire movers to get their things into that storage unit. Thanks to the INSANE rent prices, they have no chance of hiring movers again to move their stuff elsewhere. They were so happy about the rate they got initially and how much money they would save. Now their rent is even higher than it was at the facility they moved out of to come to Public Storage.
Public Storage lures people in with great rates, then increases the rent by an insane margin, and leaves renters with no remedy other than moving out.
The only positive things I have to say are that the staff have always been polite, and the units are in fact temperature controlled as advertised.
Unfortunately, the facility does nothing about the fact that renters leave the outside doors open for HOURS, letting all the AC out. People who have units in the same hallway as my relative's unit come and sit in their units for hours, leaving the outside door propped open. Then when they leave, they don't bother to shut the outside door. This is not only a serious problem for temperature control IN SOUTH FLORIDA of all places, but a huge security issue as well.

This storage is the worst facility I have ever stepped foot into. The units are disgusting and there are rats running throughout the units. The place makes you feel so dirty. I would advise you to not rent a storage from here.

This public storage has a lot of big rats. If you have insurance, read the paperwork because. They would charge you insurance and if you haven't insurance for a year two years, even three years and have a claim if you don't Have receipt for your damage property. They were not pay you for nothing. And they will not tell you. I have rat urin over all my stuff and it smells so bad. I do not even want any of it and they will not reimburse me.

You have to use their lock, and they do not offer a combination lock, which is a serious problem for us. We'll be moving to another storage facility that allows combination locks before our first month is finished.

The staff at this location are super friendly, they help in any way they can, five stars for them. The facility itself needs attention, exit does not work in the application. The worst is the exit as you can see in the photos, there is a curb that many have hit, surely damaged cars, but nothing has been done to prevent it. Saturday 03/30 I hit it, it cost me a new tire and a pressure sensor. Today I am going to call to see what they are going to do about this, we will go and see the quality of the service.
Until today and after contacting the main office, no one has contacted me back. if you notice just good reviews have comments from the Corp office. 🤔

Do not go here you will regret it
Unless you want everything you own and stored here to be either destroyed, covered and rat feces and like us probably have to have our movers discard everything STAY AWAY!!! After 3 price increases with the latest being $510/month for the last 8 months since storing our belongings and life here for 3 years our movers opened the door to this. In addition, they do not maintain the units with pest control and with all of this damage you need animal control to handle this if not up to including the building(s) being condemned. I don't know how we are going to be made whole let alone have irreplaceable 3 generation solid wood cherry furniture restored and cleaned. Monday will be the start of a very very long day and I fear months, perhaps years long battle. I will be starting with the health department, attorney general, management and will probably need to go up the ladder, and I pray it doesn't get that far, an attorney. AGAIN, STAY FAR AWAY!!

Front desk operator with the ponytail and eye piercing wanted me to give a review so now here is my review.
When I first signed up this same person told me if there was electricity to not let her know that there was electricity in my outside unit. Lo and behold there is electricity in my unit. I use the storage for my inventory to store. I have an online business. Just last week the same person came up to my unit and asked me if I had a business. And I told her yes it's online I sell through eBay and here's my inventory. She wanted to get my business card. She saw my setup.
Today the same person came to my unit and started yelling at me because my door was half opened because of the sun. She did tell me I wasn't allowed to have my door closed. Apparently they are now being audited and they're trying to make changes at the last hour. No problem. I closed the door. She then comes back to my storage saying I felt "oh, she wants to be evicted. At this point I felt threatened being that I am pregnant. I started to record her. She kept yelling and telling me I wasn't allowed to record her. I have this on video.
I was 2 seconds away from calling the police that's how threatened I felt with her. She kept coming back to the storage yelling and screaming even getting out of her go-kart. This is all on my personal recording.
She asked me to give a review when I first moved in about 3 weeks ago. For some reason I paused on making the review at that time just from the vibe that she was giving. I'm glad now I have an opportunity to actually give an honest review.
It's not what she was saying but it was in her delivery that I have a big problem with. You don't yell and scream at the people who are renting a unit from your establishment.
I look forward to speaking with the district manager. I will continue to pursue this because I believe this was downright uncalled for. Thankfully I have everything on video

The grounds and unit a little dirtier than expected, but very convenient and affordable for the storage amount I need at present. If you want ROACHES store your furniture in this place. Had to fog the Uhaul truck before bringing my furniture inside. I have rented from Cube Smart, Life Storage and even from a old storage place called Extra Space Storage in the past 4 years, never had a roach problem until this place. Manager claims they do pest control, maybe outside definitely NOT inside the buildings. Read thru all the reviews, everyone that left a good review is at the start of the rental, but then you leave this place with roaches and get a bad review.

Stay away if you don’t want your stuff infested with rats and roaches.
Please look for a different location this place has rats, roaches, multiple doors open, trash outside, gates don’t work. Dirty and they never answer the phone.
EDIT: I received a rude call today from Chantel, the PROPERTY MANAGER accusing me of lying, and with an attitude speaking over me, or not letting me complete my sentences. She also threatened with auctioning my belongings on the 20th, as if I was intending to purposely leave a delinquent account. Chantel also hung up the phone on me when I started to defend myself. I want to state that my payment is late ONLY because I refuse to pay, or give this company more of my money until the district Manager Jeanie gives me a call back & offers a reasonable inconvenience credit. I have left the district manager several voicemails & still no call back.
Companies like these it’s better off reporting them to BBB & with the State (which will be my next step) in order to receive a productive response.
I am a very kind & patient person. I have been nothing but understanding & nice to this staff. This whole experience is completely disrespectful. To trigger my emotional state & mental well-being is uncalled for & unethical.

This company was supposed to send me a refund of $100 for next day vacancy. I reserved a unit paid for it in cash the next day my fiancé decided he wanted to secure a different unit at a different location. The agents told me they were unable to give me a cash refund even though I had just paid in cash the day before, but corporate would issue me a check instead of receiving a check of $100 I received a check for nine dollars. This company is dishonest don’t do business with them.

Got a storage online had issues so I came inside and Drew helped tremendously not even minutes later situated everything for us I am now a happy customer and definitely recommend Drew for any further issues!
I was really impressed by Kim. I had to wait a long time, so I got to watch her while waiting and I was so impressed by the kind way that she treated the customers. There was one man that Public Storage had taken a lot of his money, and he wasn't going to get a refund for several days, so he wasn't happy. But Kim turned that all round and he left a satisfied customer.
I was also impressed by Horace. He could be my best friend. He is so good with people.
I also love my new space. I don't have that much money this month, so I'm very grateful that Public Storage allowed me to move in for just $30. The place is clean, well run, and quiet. I'm very grateful.

The storage unit I had reserved for today fell through and I tried two other places before I showed up to this one unannounced. A young man employee set me up very quickly w everything I needed. I didn’t get his name, but he had a pony tail and he was polite and quick and efficient. Customer service was great and very prompt. Would definitely recommend.

Shantel provided me with false information saying there was a promotion but there was no promotion and I ended up paying for the second month. I went over there and asked her and she made me pay for the unit and told me to call customer service to get my money back. They confirmed that I did not have a discount.

Kim, Horace, and Lacresha were very helpful and made the whole process easy. Kim was so friendly and all of the staff here take on an enormous amount of responsibility due to the understaffing and lack of equipment like a golf cart. The computers were down two days in a row as well so the staff had to print everything to be signed. With all of this going on they still managed it well and gave me a good experience. The units are great for the price too
