BRING YOUR OWN LOCK! Do not use their locks, not only will they try to force you to pay $30 for a used old lock, but there are reports of storage units coordinating with thieves who also have keys to these locks.

I'm in the process of moving into my new apartment but won't be ready for a week. So I decided to move my things into a storage unit. Wednesday had receive a call stating I owe on my unit, which was weird because I only moved my things Tuesday afternoon. After speaking with the manager she says " oh it was a mistake, let me check if I called for anything else", then she proceed to say my autopay is off and would I turn it back on and I said no. I honestly thought that was super weird. Tuesday around 2:30pm I finished setting up and everything was great, I had my lock and key for the unit. Now yesterday around 3:30ish I arrival to check on my things and also get a few things I need and to find out that it had been a leak in the roof and all of my things have gotten rained on and everything is wet. My TV, my furniture and personal items. I went to the office and the manager said that she can put in a ticket and move me into a different unit. That's fine but now most of my things have to be trashed. I was told to let her know by tomorrow (10/4/2024) when I'll be finished. This is super inconvenient and had to pay another fee for the second unit. After speaking with the insurance, I was told someone would reach out to me by Monday. And after speaking with the manager of this property, I was told there was nothing she could do. This is honestly ridiculous and unprofessional.
I'll be filing complaints everywhere until this is resolved.
Update
I took all my stuff out of storage for it to be filled with orange mold and very damp. Everything was thrown away. I had to get a uhaul and throw everything in the dump but had left some things in front of my unit. I had told the store clerk that I'll be coming back for my things and was given the okay. It has been raining so hard that I couldn't go back for the things and was going back the next day. I had received an email stating that I'll be charged $500 for a cleaning fee. I called customer service and was told they couldn't do anything and to talk to the manager. I called the store and was told that I have until 6pm to get the stuff moved from the property and I told the store clerk I was on the way. As I approached the property my things were gone and after asking where it went, the store clerk said she couldn't wait for me and called " the people". After asking who "the people" are, she said the garbage pickup people. I told her that I spoke with you on the phone and hour ago and said I was on the way. She said she couldn't wait for me to get here. And I repeated myself saying that I was in the way, I had to get another uhaul. She kept saying she couldn't wait and that she needed to keep the property clean. After that I called customer service and said the same thing that they couldn't really do anything and I had to speak with the property manager or regional manager. After getting the number, it was going straight to voicemail. Customer service told me that they would write it on the report and call me for a follow up.
This is honestly the worst experience I could ever have for a storage unit and this is the first time I ever used this. This is ridiculous how they can treat people like this and how you could give people a unit that's filled with mold and leaking. All of my things are ruined and nobody gave me the courtesy of even apologizing to me. I just can't even believe this.
Maya is the best
They have people that are very unhelpful. I spoke with someone named Stephanie on September 29 about a “past due” balance of $9 something, although all official communication from Public Storage kept showing $0.00 as being due. When I asked her what it was for, she stated that it was a pro-rated rent amount or something, but couldn’t give me a date range. I have not even had my actual rental unit for a full 30 days and paid the first month of rent when I first arrived on August 30. Though the Stephanie individual said that the system could not provide her with specifics regarding the “past due charge”, she did seem adamant to specify that I would be charged an additional $20 on Monday, September 30 if I didn’t pay the quoted amount.
Also, I would be weary of the authenticity of the positive reviews posted. When I came to make a review I noticed that the following review was posted from my account that I myself did not make:
“Maya made the rental process easy and convenient”
At some point while I was checking in she did ask to see my phone, which is when the review was probably made. I guess when the Maya person is asking for customers’ phones, she is then posting positive reviews bragging about herself.
Finally, please update your office hours on Google. The way it is posted now is that it mirrors the “Access” hours, which implies that there is someone staffed in the office at the times posted. I had to ask Stephanie for the Staffed Hours, as they are not listed accurately.

I didn’t have the chance to remove my stuff on the 31 because it was a storm. I came the 1st on the morning and remove everything from the unit. Went to the office and mentioned everything to the lady. She said that she will send a note explaining what happen.
Well she did send the note but she lied and said that I left boxed in the unit which was a total lie.
They tried to charge me for another month. Even when I called and ask for an exemption for been a loyal customer.
The lady called Mayya said that she can not help and I will be charged.
I had to call corporate and they did help.

The lady upfront is absolute trash. She lied to me i was told to empty the unit and i wouldnt be charged yet i find out i was still charged. Not only was i charged but when i called and put my phone number in I DIDNT EVEN HAVE AN ACCOUNT ANYMORE AND DONT EVEN HAVE ACCESS TO THE UNIT THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR.
Be careful the lady is a Thief, I wouldn’t suggest you do business with them! And if you were cancelling your storage unit keep an eye out for your bank because she lied straight to me and my brother and told us to have it empty by the morning and woke up the next morning to find out I have a pending charge for this month with no access to a storage unit😂 what a clown!

Conveniently located . . . great price to get you in the door but expect them to raise their rates every opportunity. After in less than two years I went from $360 to $580. Moved my stuff to Kissimmee and pay $300 a month for similar unit.

I went to Public Storage with my sister that was looking for a special size storage unit Liz went above and beyond when she explained the sizes and what would fit in it she took us and showed exactly what she had available. If I ever need a storage I will definitely go to Public Storage and Liz

Maridys was super friendly and helpful, I don’t even like to do reviews, but I felt like I needed to so she was recognized. She was a joy, I had a bad day when I came in and her warm hearted smile and genuine personality really lifted my day. She was also extremely helpful, patient with all my questions, and friendly. I feel like you don’t see that much in customer service today anymore.
