I've been renting here for years and the location and staff itself deserve 5 stars. Never had a issue here. Only reason I give them 4 is because of the price increases every few months. I wish they would offer a fixed long term contract. Every year or two I have to rent a new one to lower my payment and move my stuff to another unit. It only takes about 30-40 minutes to do the move but still. They should have at least a system in place that I can keep my unit number at their current rates. We live in a townhouse with limited storage so I rent a 5x10 to keep all our seasonal stuff and non essentials to save room like Christmas decorations, beach stuff, etc.

I would give this facility a 5-star review if the company was honest and didn’t engage in financial games that waste both time and money! When I leased a unit at a set price, I didn't expect that just three months later, they would raise the price by $200+ You have to apply for an exemption to get back to the original rate, which is granted the first time. However, if it happens again, you’re on your own. My rate went from $269 to $530—this kind of increase is unheard of and simply predatory! Not cool.
The trick, I found out, is to prepay a year in advance, which locks your rate for that period. But once that year is up, guess what? They increase your rate again! Seriously, Google it!
On the bright side, the staff here are absolutely amazing. They deserve 5 stars for their helpfulness and diligence. The facility itself is clean and safe, serving its purpose well.
However, the ownership is not honest and plays games with your money. I had to downsize to a unit half the size, and even then, I had to fight for an extension after a few months. Eventually, I had to move elsewhere. The inconvenience of moving everything is HUGE and has affected my work and time with my family. Therefore, despite the great staff and clean facility, my overall rating is 1 star due to the dishonest practices and financial burden imposed by the ownership.

Terrible. Public Storage has no customer service. I understand contacts are made, but exceptions can be as well... if you have a customer that has paid on time for over a year, has used you more than once, and moved out of their unit four days into the month, then I think you should help them out and prorate. You increase rates whenever it floats your boat, you take the money of the person moving out and the one coming in the same month (greedy), and have available reps with less than a minute's wait time only if someone is newly renting, but unavailable any other time. The list goes on. Keep my money. You obviously need it, but not loyal customers.
P.S. If you're going to have a solutions department, then train them to listen not just talk and read off a policy guide.

My experience with Public Storage has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I initially rented a 10x10 unit back in November 2022, and within less than six months, the price was hiked up by a staggering 34%. When I reached out to the management, hoping for some reasonable explanation or perhaps a solution given the short time frame, I was met with a flat-out "No." Their indifference towards customer concerns was evident from the start.
Fast forward to 2024, and they attempted another price hike. Enough was enough. I decided to schedule my move-out by the end of the month. Little did I know, the nightmare was far from over.
On the day of my move-out, I was greeted with dysfunctional elevators. Yes, you read that right, none of them were working! It was a chaotic scene with everyone struggling to haul their belongings up and down the stairs. It was not just inconvenient but downright embarrassing. One can't help but wonder if this was a deliberate tactic to coerce people into paying for another month.
The sheer lack of reliability and disregard for customer satisfaction displayed by Public Storage is appalling. I strongly advise anyone considering using their services to look elsewhere. Save yourself the headache, inconvenience, and unnecessary expenses. This establishment does not deserve your business.

I tried to enter at 5pm on a Saturday and although my code was accepted the elevators didnt come. There was someone else with me unable to get the elevator to come either. I need to get something for Easter tomorrow and can't get in. No way to contact the property manager.

Before completing the rental of my space online, I was contacted by the store manager and she clarified all my doubts. I made an appointment to see the property and see the space. I was treated very kindly by Amanda and Carlos. What I like most about the property is the climate control, how clean it always is and its strategic location.

This storage place is very clean and organized. Carts and ladders available to use even on a busy Saturday and being able to access the gate and doors through the app is cool. The 5x5 unit is definitely bigger and I got a great rate, would definitely recommend!
Went in to rent a unit, one of the women were really helpful, her name was Millie. She knew a lot about the prices, unit types, was friendly, etc. She helped me download the app that’s used for the actual property where you can open doors without having to touch anything so I liked that it was high tech. Everything looked really clean unlike some of the other storage places around the area. They also have a good selection of things to aid in moving, I liked that everything was convenient and in the same place. Overall, the process was smooth, place was clean, security was good, they had a good selection of things for sale for use in moving, everything was great. I would really recommend getting help from Millie because she seems to actually want to help.

Been renting for a year and this has to be the worst storage around. Let me elaborate on this, First...the increase of almost a $100 with such short notice, Second...the elevators go down often, Third...the gate has now been wide open for a few week and this compromises the security of outdoor storage, Fourth...unknown people will tailgate in or out when the gate was closed, Fifth...the door to enter from back lot are forced out of tracks so they are open for anyone to enter since the gate is now open...this is a major issue with this combination of issues, Sixth...the so called atmosphere control is false because the AC is blowing out 76*-80* which is a breeding ground for mold in storage units, always smells musty and we now smell the mustiness in our storage unit. So with this being said, who could agree to pay $300+ for all these issues. Reporting to BBB, this is a lease and although we don't occupy them as a home they still house our possessions. Also came to the office to report such issues multiple times and they didn't understand anything I was saying, nobody spoke English and I was very calm and tried to elaborate on the issues but my concerns fell of deaf ears or since they didn't understand me just wrote me off. I shouldn't have to go out of my way to understand or speak another language. There is no communication to the lease holders that ever get sent out regarding any issues.
Also it would appear that this location will reply back to all the good reviews, but not a lease holder that has issues with the daily operations of the facility...I don't believe these reviews are presenting all the facts, they almost sound scripted for public baiting.

The intro rate started at $55, what they don’t tell you is that it’s a locker in the ceiling that you have to get to with a ladder. The smallest unit accessible on the ground started in the $80s. Within 6 months I was already paying $120. To top it off they ask you give them your move out date but don’t refund you for any days unused. “You paid your rent on the 1st meaning you’ve paid for the month”. FYI they always do “maintenance” on the only 2 elevators at the same time. Good luck if your unit is not on the first floor.

I had to drive down from Orlando for an issue with the storage. Initially I was expecting a huge fuss and battle but Miss Shamika took AMAZING care of us. I am honestly so happy with this and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly everything was solved and am completely blown away by my experience.

Raised the rent from 180 to 270 within a year. Their 888 number has horrible and rude customer service. When the rent was raised without my notice the first time, they had to send in a request to lower the price. Everything is "send in a request" so there is no one you can speak to directly that can help you, but they can it's all a scheme. After making my point the person finally made changes. They also harass you if u stay in the property later than 9 which, no one explained. They said you won't be able to get back up the elevator but not that you could be locked on the premises and that they will email and text you about you being there late, no alarms or notice when they are closing and no employees on premises. An alarm or recording would help... when told that I was not aware of the time and that I only left 4 minutes after. They questioned me on my reason on being there at that time. Like wth do you think I'm doing. I left the company and moved to a competitor.

Shamika and Mille had the best customer service you could ever ask for. Just off my experience at the front desk i could tell this is the place i have to store. Very quick and informative. Explain what they have to over to the T. I would highly highly recommend

My experience was excellent. Customer Service very professional, The property tour was excellent. Super Clean. High Tech Property. With its own APP. Security is awesome. Front desk managers Millie and Amanda are GREAT. will be staying at Public Storage for awhile.
Immaculately clean and safe. Easy to park and unload. Well staffed by friendly people.
Our representative Amanda was super helpful, nice and knowledgeable about the unit rates, insurance and policies. She also took the time to take us around on a tour of the facility to gain a better sense of how things work. Recommend her to assist with your purchases.

No more than three stars because after 5 years, the price has almost tripled and keeps rising. There's never more than 3 trolleys on site, so if there are 3+ people that day, forget about finding or using one to assist you. Very thin wall between units, so when neighbors bang something, your stuff will suffer.
Had a very wonderful experience with Shamika and renting a storage unit when very smoothly. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Very upbeat and great personality representing the company.

The worst customer service experience I have ever had is with this public storage. They were not able to explain what was going on. I asked them to look into the issue and provide me information instead I got a bunch of well I’m not sure, maybe and usually. No one could explain anything. Terrible customer service with this location and with public storage. Save yourself and use a different company.

The ladies at Public Storage, Millie and Shamika assisted me with professionalism and integrity. I wasn't having a great day. But after entering the 128th Street location they immediately attended to me with a smile despite my being upset. I want to thank Millie and Shamika for helping me with my rental needs. You girls are the best.
I've been a customer of this Public Storage location since January of 2021. In general, the property seems mostly well kept and management does a pretty good job. However, the reason for the low rating is this company doesn't seem to value their customers at all; and they remind you constantly its a month to month arrangement.
In the last 9 months my rate went from being $165 a month to $280 because of the market rate. These are not typos, that is an increase in rate of 70% in nine months. Additionally, they randomly call whenever my RV is gone for more than a couple days to see if I want to cancel my membership. The first time it seemed it was a curtesy. After the sixth time, it's more apparent it's about money. I get it you're a business trying to maximize profits, however, when the market rate goes down I don't think you'll be in such a rush to lower your prices.
Unfortunately our experience was less than good. After 1 year of storing our furniture we found it covered in mold. When we reported it to the front desk they said we should have put a bucket of mold preventer in the unit and to just claim it to the insurance. Manager was not helpful, shrugged her shoulders and implied it was our own fault.
This should not happen in an air-conditioned space. In addition the entire place has 3 flatbeds available for use to share among all when we moved out doing numerous trips.
When reported to the office I was cut off stating flatbed were provided as a courtesy. Just be aware and protect your belongings!! you don't get what you pay for.
