Tamiami Storage Units Near Ronald Reagan Turnpike
Sitting on the northeast corner of the intersection of 42nd Street and 137th Avenue is the Tamiami Public Storage, equipped with cheap self storage units to tackle any size load.
A quick drive off of the Ronald Reagan Turnpike for customers coming from the east side of town, and a few miles off of Krome Avenue for those coming from the far west side of town, this location provides easy access from any direction.
Heading out on Highway 41 – aka The Tamiami Trail – through the Everglades? Use this location as a stop-off on the way to store or grab backpacks, travel gear and outdoor equipment.

Very clean, spacious parking, welcoming helpful staff, peaceful.
Upon signing up I was given all info including refund process for my own lock BUT I was not informed if I paid by check to sign up the refund would be a hassle, paper check vs direct card refund. I was a day late on my monthly payment and they put a lock on my unit and threatened access yet I have been waiting for a month and still no refund. I feel they should make it easier and just credit back to your card or other form of payment or even towards next bill. They're strict on monthly payment yet super lax on refund.
Nicolas was a great help with the whole process and was very knowledgeable about the facility. Incredible customer service.
Carlos was extremely helpful, gave me an impromptu tour so that I could get a better idea of what size each unit was, gave me the hours of the location and was very kind. The location is clean and very secure. Truly happy with the service provided during visit.

Absolutely terrible horrendous place to use as a storage facility I’m currently sitting here have been waiting since 10am it’s currently 12:05pm with no one in the office and no answer of the phone within office hours and no signs on the doors that they will be back later. They removed access to my unit and all account information so I can’ even get a hold of customer service. I just need to get to my unit to remove my lock so I don’t continue being charged. This is absolutely ridiculous if I could give 0 stars I would. I’m uploading pictures with time stamps showing the office empty.

I have been renting a space here for close to two years and Nick the manager helps me a lot. I am elderly and he assists me getting to my unit and with the push carts and even helped me set up their app for hands free access. Nick keeps the whole place clean and has his hands full running the entire place by HlMSELF EVERY DAY but still makes time to help all of his tenants. His service is unmatched. God bless this man.

Great storage facility only downside is The A/C is always off its super hot in the a/c controlled storage rooms this has been going on for a while. I have 4 different units around Miami, and all have a/c that's comfortable to move things around and work. This one is unbearable

Do not rent from any Public Storage. Four months into storage rental and they are increasing the rate by 30%. They send you a notification just a couple of days from the end of the month. Don't be fooled by any introductory offers.

They will absolutely do nothing about it,
They will just tell you they can't prove it happened here because they don't feel like going back through footage to see how it happened, absolutely ridiculous place
Do not rent from them
I rented a few parking space from Public Storage for a few months, but I had to move out early due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite leaving the parking space before the end of the rental period, Public Storage still charged me for an entire next month's rent. When I reached out to customer service to dispute the charge, I was met with unhelpful and dismissive responses. They claimed that the rental agreement stated that I would be charged for a full month because I moved out right before the billing was set to drop and charge my card, I had no recollection of ever seeing this in the contract. It felt like they were intentionally trying to take advantage of me and charge me for a service I didn't receive. When I disputed the charge with my bank, they sent my account to collections. This experience has left me with a negative impression of Public Storage, and I would caution others to be wary of their billing and customer service practices.

They make threats to your property and make extra charges for you because of their own mistakes. Keep paper receipts and emails receipts not just one or the other because they will use that against you. Additionally, not all a/c units have a/c even if it is promised on your lease.
Nicholas was excellent. Great Customer Service, very professional, friendly and he really knows his job. He demonstrated interest and explained all details of transaction. He does every thing on the place by himself and is always very positive and willing to help.

We moved our stuff from a competitor nearby. Pricing and cleanliness of the facility is much better here. We appreciated Nickolas who was very patient and helpful helping us decide the size we needed. In the end, we ended up getting the larger size because pricing was more reasonable than the competitor that we were moving from. Plus, I felt like climate control felt way cooler than our previous "climate contolled" facility. Nick was very helpful on the phone and in person as we dealt with trying to figure out our storage needs. He was exceptionally professional and nice! Definitely recommend this location. 👌
