I rented a unit here due to the hurricane I lost my home what was left I put in there. Would go there once a day to get things I needed and because the lady assumed I was homeless wanted to nitpick my husband and I got a 2 day notice had to leave for things I never did! Instead of talking face to face about it she walked passed us and yelled as she walked down the halls about homeless losers. On top of everything the place is very dirty and smells of mildew. The bathroom looks like a brothel condoms and tampons everywhere. This was not the experience I was promised I wouldn't recommend this to anyone
New management! Had minor issue with door which was fixed immediately. Clean and secure.
While this facility is new and clean, the post-Helene move in was a complete s-show. There was only one cart on site, one access and one working elevator and zero personnel on site or answering phones— with dozens of people waiting in line to move in. The bathroom was filthy and not stocked and my access code (via app) did not work. I have yet to receive a return phone call from the property manager.
Do not rent here !!!! They will jack up your rates the longer you rent

Nice indoor facility but I will be looking elsewhere..original monthly fee was 70$ and 1 year later has crept up to 140$.

Don’t fall for the reasonable prices listed on their website. They’ll agree to that and then a few months in they increase the prices by $60/month with less than 15 days notice. They also only mail you a post card and don’t call, text or email as to why they’re drastically increasing prices. Then, when you call they respond with “yeah, we can do that”
The gentleman was very helpful when checking me in. They didn’t see rude or inpatient especially being as I got there almost at close.

Don was such a nice guy to work with! Thank you for your patience in explaining the process to me! Don gave me all of the knowledge I needed, gave me a card with my storage passcode written on it, and he went out of his way to get up and show me on the map where I needed to go. This nice man uses a cane and he still got up from his seat to make sure that I was comfortable with where I was going. Public Storage is lucky to have him. I really hope he is getting paid well. He gives his best and he certainly deserves that back. Thank you Don!

Very displeased and disappointed! Manager will not call back to clear up situation of being over charged. Don cancelled the wrong transaction and I was charged more because of his mistake. He refused to correct and I have left several messages for the manager and no calls back received. I would not recommend this place. I would give a negative 5 for this place.

Public storage is such a rip off. They attempt numerous times to take automatic payments a week before the due date. Be cautious of late payments. A lien and threat to sell your belongings only a few days after a late payment. They cut your lock immediately after missing a payment then charge $25 for a new lock. $150 to remove lien fee and administration costs. You pay for insurance whether you have it or not. Such a hassle to get it refunded. DO NOT USE PUBLIC STORAGE!!!!

3/5 stars because I've been this storage's member for almost 3 years, the staff is helpful sometimes, I had a outside 5x5 and all my belongings got wet because of a roof leak and even tho I got storage insurance they have scamming loop holes like if u don't have receipts they won't reimburse you for the items being stored... so i switched to an inside a/c unit and haven't had problems ever since other than that. It's very secure because the gates are available only 6am to 9pm . Just not that liable when it comes down to insurance because they use a third party, and they're not very convenient to use if something were to happen to your stored belongings.
Our experience at Public Storage in Bradenton was great! Janice helped us and was very considerate, and friendly. We like how clean the facility is! I feel safe storing belongings there.
One of the friendliest store I've encountered not to mention how clean the property is. You can definitely tell the employees care about their job and their customers.
My experience with Christine was phenomenal. Over the phone she explained in detail how to transfer units and transfer my prepaid balance to a new unit with ease and courtesy. We recently rented a storage facility at 6801 Cortez Rd West in Bradenton FL. Christine serviced us and she was amazing! She answered all of our questions without hesitation. This is the third time this location has flooded. Now I am being ask to come and look at the items in the unit. The building was never repaired from the last flood BUT they raise the price by 25.00 dollars. NO GOOD SERVICE. I used this location for 4 years. The problem is the gutters and leave not being removed. This was the problem 3 years ago.
Today they just called to tell me the building flooded again. My rate is $256.00 and with one (1) inch of rain this is the fourth time for water in my unit. If you need a storage unit STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Always is clean the staff is super friendly and the property manager has worked with me every step of the way. He really cares about keeping decent renters as he will go to bat for you the best he can with corporate. My only issue is the way corporate raises the rent with out any warning
So mike the property manager has to deal with unhappy renters. Other than that small issue I would definitely rent from them again an also will recommend them to any of my friends

Public storage at 6810 cortez rd W Bradenton. There was a small rent increase that we weren’t happy about it. I called in and complained to Christine. Let me tell you this!: She’s amazing!! In less than 5 minutes she took care of it! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the speedy response first of all and taking care of this matter
I would like to share and give a shout out to Mike that works at the Bradenton location 920 Cortez road he was so amazing on Wednesday I was in a pinch and needed to get a bigger unit and he did not take his lunch and he waited for me to get there to change the unit and he was so amazing and he went above and beyond to help us out and thank you for that..

I have always had a positive experience at this location, but recently I had a very difficult, last minute move. Don went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to secure a larger unit, even if what I needed was not available at this location.
Everything worked out and the transition was seamless. Don helped make a difficult move a lot less stressful. He was knowledgeable, patient and understanding.

Would give it a zero if possible...Made a reservation for a 20x20 unit online....confirmed by phone...went there in person within the hour and they said they had just rented the unit out to someone who had a reservation for a diff unit but didn't want it...this is no way to run a business..Very Disappointed in their policy...reservations evidentally mean NOTHING

What can I say? It's storage. You put things away here. Haven't had any problems. The climate controlled storage is kept at a decent temperature. No complaints.
Update: one of the biggest negatives is how they like to continually raise your rate every year. I started at around $30 for my unit and ended my stint at nearly $70 in less than 3 years. They tried to raise my rate to $93 but I complained and it was held at $70. I recommend asking lots of questions and comparing other self storage places in the area before committing.
