Ken is such an awesome and a good hearted person, 2 weeks straight my lock to my storage was broken and he put a work order in. The maintenance person never came to fix my lock and Ken was the one that fixed my lock and every day he checked on me to see if I was coming by to get into my storage. He is the best worker there.

This location has despicable customer service. Mind you, my husband and I clear out A LOT of storage units as a favor to many of these storage facilities, especially at the end of the month when they need to turn over units for rentals. We really take a huge burden off of management when most of the time, there is a large amount of abandoned trash and we take care of all the bulk trash disposal on our own, leaving the units swept and clean for the next guest, (as opposed to using their own dumpsters, which are often full and require the facilities to pay for trash pick-up based on size and frequency). Because of this (usually) mutually beneficial relationship, most facility managers/employees (especially Public Storage), are some of the most friendly, and accommodating people we’ve come across. In fact, we've built relationships with many of them, and keep in touch often. NOT THIS FACILITY! Fred, the manager, calls me at 4:30pm asking when I was planning go there to clear out a storage unit. The facility closes at 5:00pm. I informed him, we were 30 minutes away from the facility at that moment; therefore, if we proceeded to go at that time (at 4:30pm), we would be arriving just at 5:00pm. We could begin clearing out the unit tonight (after receiving the extended access gate code upon arrival). Both Fred, and another young lady were both on the phone with myself and my husband. They agreed to have us do that, so we headed to the facility. At 4:59pm, just as we arrive, both Fred and the female employee exit the building, proceed to lock the office door, get in their vehicles, and drive off right past my husband, as he stands directly in front of them (incredulously) waving them down.... Obviously, having just spoken with them on the phone (and noticing them exit early), my husband initially assumed that when Fred and the female employee exited, there must have been someone still left in the office. Both Fred and the female employee WATCHED as he knocked loudly on the door (trying to get anyone's attention before realizing NOBODY was in the office! They had just closed!). They literally watch as he hastily tried to get someone's attention in the office… They continue walking to their vehicle (while looking at him!) AND SAY NOTHING. They then proceed to literally drive right past him as they watch him waving them down in front of them. We drove 30 minutes, after having coordinated with Fred, and communicating the exact time of arrival, to then be met with blatant disregard and frankly, complete disrespect, for our time. That underhanded, complete mockery of our time or presence is an abhorrent way to do business. Part of the fundamental attributes of a quality management system includes the ability to maintain integrity and mitigate expectations. If Fred never intended to follow through with the time commitment that we had literally *just* discussed (explicitly) on the phone, then he should have stated that to begin with and saved us all the trouble… Rather than flagrantly demonstrating complete disregard for his own constituents and guests. As far as I’m concerned, that unit can clear out itself because I don’t plan on making a second trip for such a shallow establishment.

Fast forward 9 years/ FRED!! And Dan! Utilized the place again new feel office- excellent service 😁😁😁 Rally the troops and get to moving!! I found this to a be clean and convenient. Winfield was a really nice guy, helpful, and kind!! We totally needed just a wee amount of help (two chicks moving heavy furniture) he was on it. I was a real pleasure doing business with PS.. I would recommend it.

Fred, the manager, was amazing! The service was top notch and he made the whole renting process easy. The storage units themselves are well kept and there’s adequate space for moving trucks to navigate throughout the compound. Outstanding customer service: Booking the storage unit online was very easy. After completing my transaction, I received the follow up call and emails with additional instructions. As well as when I got to the facility, Fred (the associate on duty) walked us to our unit and make sure we understood where everything was in the location of our unit. Very friendly and polite.

Five stars for Fred in the office here; he is a super nice guy and goes the extra mile to help. I can't emphasize this enough — in a world wherein a lot of people don't seem to care too much, Fred goes out of his way to make things better. As for this company/location — it's a great location, with automated access and good space and always clean. My only issue is with the company; they raise rates frequently — and continually. The only way to get the rate back down is to move everything from one unit to another, which feels wrong to me. For this reason, only four stars for the company. But five stars for Fred, because that's not his fault!

I am writing a review to comment on the incredible 5 star customer service skills of Fred Hein who works at the front desk of this facility. He is absolutely the best kind of employee a company could ever ask for!!!! Public Storage would be at a real loss if they ever lose him! He saved our day and I bet he is the constant force that keeps this facility in business! If it wasn’t for Fred navigating us through the process of renting two units that had sufficient temperature control and were supplied with enough light to navigate the move-in of our fine quality furniture into the main building, we would have scurried to find storage elsewhere . Despite the necessary use of the single cargo elevator in the building , which is super hectic and chaotic, while paying $175 per hour to our movers), we stuck with this facility with Fred’s calming guidance. Even when one of the units had a filthy floor slicked with oil and some type of spilled light blue residue, Fred supplied a degreaser and paper towels to help us clean up the mess before the movers arrived. It is highly recommended to visit the unit before renting online! Luckily, we visited the single larger unit (that we originally reserved online) the day before the movers arrived with our belongings for our out of town move. (The original unit was very dark, NOT cool enough to be represented as temperature controlled (at least 80 degrees…felt like a sauna!) , with a small entry door that wouldn’t accommodate our furniture and at the end of long spooky, hot corridors. It was a HUGE disappointment! It simply wouldn’t have worked for us. Fred worked with his district manager to allow us the same promo that we originally were offered, since the unit was not described adequately by the original customer service agent. We had to take an extra trip and waste our gas the next day to go back to get a final approval on things once the district manager could be contacted on Monday morning, but in the end Fred delivered as promised. Fred’s excellent follow-up continued on to the day following the move-in when he called and reassured us that the credits toward the very confusing bills that appeared on our account online (after we had just paid the previous day ) would be credited out once the payments were processed. The Public storage has a lot of rules and regulations and red tape . The billing seems very confusing and not very straightforward or user friendly. If it wasn’t for the very patient and extra reliable Fred to answer all our questions, we definitely wouldn’t have rented the two units and we would have ran far away from any Public Storage location ever again!
