I obtained a storage locker to store my son's furniture over the summer while home from college. The entire process was done online and was seamless. Access to the facility was also very simple. I also received a call after making my initial reservation. That was a nice touch.

I recently came into the PS office in Fairfield to inquire about renting space for things that no longer fit in my basement. Irma and Edwin answered every question and concern that I had and I signed up. I’ve been back many times and both Irma and Edwin always greet me with a smile and treat me like an old friend! Highly recommended!

They lure you in with the online pricing but don’t tell you that it’s only for a couple of months. I moved items in Jan and then they raised the price $100 per month in May.

BEWARE OF PRICE HIKES!!! While the site is safe and secure, the price hikes are no joke. I had the unit since May '23, but the cost has increased by 51%. I originally was paying $245 but it has subsequently increased to $371 for seemingly no reason or benefit. This is straight up price gauging...oh, and they also do not pro-rate if you move-out mid month

Disgusting facility. Awful service, no one cares about how poorly run the facility is. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!!!

Unit is infested by rodents, when I called to see if they would do anything about it, they said it was not their problem. I have over 4 thousands dollars in damaged furniture. If you care about your belongings definitely do research before choosing a place you would expect your belongings to be safe.

We had a good experience till we moved our stuff out and discovered our belongings suffered significant water damage (at least $5,000) due to leak in the roof. We were somewhat relieved when we realized Public Storage requires renters to buy insurance thru them which we had been paying for for years. However, the insurance company is telling us our damages aren't covered and refuses to call us back in spite of the policy stating water damages are covered. If you decide to rent there DO NOT USE THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY!

Overpriced and not climate controlled. Holes in the ceiling everywhere and when my unit was filled with water and mold (I visited the unit frequently) and in less than two weeks I lost most of my belongings. Yes, I had insurance, but they didn’t send an adjuster and I had to photograph and document everything while also disposing of the damaged stuff offsite, I wasn’t allowed to use the on-site dumpster - and if I wanted to move to another unit, that was all my labor as well. The storage facility took zero responsibility for the conditions, even said the dampness was just normal condensation and continued to charge me full rent on the unit. I spent days breathing in mold to empty the unit and document everything in hopes of recovering even a tenth of the value of what was stored there. Between reporting the issue and emptying the unit, not only did more water show up but note what was left of my belongings was covered in urine and feces from mice. Avoid this place at all costs, I paid less for a climate controlled unit twice the size and didn’t have to get rid of everything I owned.

Irma and Grover were very patient with me. Very professional and courteous with me. I will reccomend Public Storage in Fairfield to my friends.
