They get you by advertising a low rate and then raising the rate every few months. My rate started at $48 a month and now it’s up to $78. $78 for a 5x10 unit. That’s insane. I don’t even think I’ve been here a full year yet. As far as I can see, all storage units use this slimy tactic. To add to the insult, they don’t send you an email about your rate being raised, they mail you a tiny little postcard. It’s almost like they’re trying to hide it from you.
The keypad to access the facility is on the wrong side of the entrance. You’re going to need to get out of your car every time if you want to type the code into the keypad. Definitely not a good feeling because you never know if someone is gonna try to follow you into the storage unit. There is a Bluetooth option to use from the app on your phone to open the entrance gate, but it doesn’t work unless you awkwardly angle your car dangerously close to it. Almost to where you’re about to scrape your car on the cement posts.
Kudos to Paul! I had trouble reserving a unit online, so we went to the office for help. Paul took the time to get it all straightened out for us. He brought us to our unit and explained how to use the app to open the gate. He was very helpful and patient and took the time to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction.
I’ve used this storage shed for over a year now and always have great service and clean and safe storage units!

I got a unit here and before my reservation even started, my app and my account number were not syncing so I called and a lady named Robin helped me right away. Then when I get there, the unit was too small ao she went out of her way to get me transferred to a different one very quickly and made the whole process, SO much better! If you go here, just make sure you ask for Robin!!

My rent started at $86 a month. Since I’ve been here they have raised it over $147 dollars. My new rent is $233. This is not okay and extremely predatory pricing. Do not get sucked in.
Delilah at Public Storage (off Kipling in Littleton) is great! I've had my storage unit now for over 4 years and the rent started to become unaffordable, I was ready to cancel. Delilah listened to my concerns and escalated my concerns to corporate and was able to negotiate a discount on my monthly rent. She was very kind and courteous and went above and beyond her job. Thank you, Delilah!

Editing my review because Robin had me enter it before I left and selected 5 stars for me. She was actually quite rude to deal with, even when I explained that I was dealing with a death in my family. I had spoken with the property manager Delilah about things and she instructed me to call to make sure she was there when I brought the key for my lock. When I called, Robin was there and she insisted on me coming in right away even though I requested to speak to Delilah (who had been much nicer and willing to work with me)
When I got there, Robin seemed irritated and kept admonishing me for not coming in sooner, even though I explained the death in my family. She typed a bunch of stuff into her computer, said I was lucky I came in when I did and said I wouldn't be charged for August. I thanked (and believed) her. Then she had me pull up the location on Google maps and started a review for me. She said I had to do it before I left because when people say they will later they never do and she doesn't get credit. So I did and I thanked her as seen above. But now I am seeing that I was still fully charged for the month of August and nothing is being credited to me like she said.
I'm not happy with how rude and pushy Robin was through this ordeal, or the fact that she said I would not be charged and it is now apparent that was a lie. And it's certainly not good form to force people into leaving you a 5 star review while you watch them do it

Horrible experience with sight manager. Kept me from gaining access to my unit. I arrived late once as the driveway was blocked for no reason. I called every phone number available and finally got in. The 2nd time I had just had an attempted Robbery. I had to cut their lock to gain access and put my lock on. Clearly, the thieves were to return as they had their own lock on there. I gained access replace the lock and left there was no one available to discuss it or give a reason why I was there. Unbelievable and my belongings were certainly not safe
Eli is the man!! He helped me in several ways today!! Eli helped me navigate getting the best rate, downsize, cancel a reservation at a wrong address, change my phone number, and walked me to the appropriate sized unit before I signed the lease. I have never had such customer service… not to mention a half an hour before closing. I will recommend this specific location to all of my family and friends. Thanks again Eli. You deserve a raise.

I would give them five stars alone if I was ONLY going BY the SERVICE and helpfulness from their employee named CODY. He answered EVERY question I had and was VERY patient and went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations of service. I and moving my storage from California to Colorado and chose this public storage site on Kipling in Littleton. My disappointments were mainly because I am disabled, and there is no handicap parking as well as no golf carts for accessibility of taking a handicapped person to look at their potential storage rental unit. I had to walk all the way there up in incline of sorts, but, it's HARD for me to walk and get around PERIOD. I THOUGHT IT WAS A LAW that you're supposed to have handicap accessibility for a business, as lucrative as theirs, ESPECIALLY!!! So, I am going to rent from them, and the space was just fine. Also, I was told that I should call ahead of time when I do arrive back to Colorado with the truck that I am bringing my storage belongings in from California BECAUSE they are short staffed and the office is sometimes closed half the day. If the office might be closed during their posted hours, then that ALSO means that the bathrooms will also be locked!! But, after all that, CODY IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM of an employee and REALLY knows his stuff!! He seems VERY LOYAL to the brand for sure, and has made my transition from California to Colorado much easier! He had me download their app and showed me how I can open the gate with my phone as well as manually by punching my code in at the key pad at the entrance. He PROBABLY DESERVES A RAISE I'M GUESSING!! HE'S A KEEPER!!! I hope this helps someone...

You guys are ridiculous ill be canceling my unit. Price started at $160 and now it's at $260. My recommendation is don't use public storage. They will increase the price every 3 months and not tell you. This is by far the worst storage facility I've ever dealt with!
I've used public storage several times and never had a problem. But the one I rented the other day had Cody as the manager. He is the best manager I have come across. He is professional and knows his stuff. He is the best and I would recommend him and his location to anyone. He went above and beyond to help me with my needs. Best public storage manager in North America!

My experience was "the phone was open it was not a machine i was lock in hand in less the 10 minutes.
Edit :Ok, so they got better. A lot better. I actually just recently moved out of my units, but I can say that over the 2 or so years that I was there the management and personnel that was on site actually really took care of the place.
After my original post, they really took notice and actually tried to make changes. I'll still say - Don't go to the office to rent something. Do it online! You'll save a ton of cash.
Over all, I was happy with the experience.
DO NOT rent in person. Do not make phone calls to rent. Do your reservation online and take advantage of the promotions online! If you do not do your reservation online you are LOSING LOTS OF MONEY!!!!
Its a total scam, too - once you've opened an account (and then you find out about the online reservations) you're literally out hundreds of dollars. And if you should decide to call customer service, be prepared to have your intelligence insulted. It really is shameful what they are doing. AND to top it off, its in the fine print of the contract that if you decide to cancel (because you can't stand the incompetence) there is no refund for the first months rent and the admin fee!! Again, this is a shameful business practice. I HIGHLY recommended that you go elsewhere to do your storage business. But if you do choose to rent from here - DO IT ONLINE. And read the contract and be prepared.
First time using a storage facility so I had many questions and Cody was very helpful in answering them.
As for the storage area itself it was as many would imagine a place of a indoor storage, dry, cool, mostly clean, and easy to get in and out.
The only thing I would say negative is in order to rent you HAVE to get storage insurance.
(Provided on site or website and first month is free but next month you have to pay insurance or find a another provider)

I am so happy with the experience I had at Public Storage today. The property manager, Cody helped me get a storage unit and took time to explain everything in detail so that I had a clear understanding of the agreement. He helped me set up automatic payments and download the PS app on my phone so I can enter the facility easily. Cody provided 12/10 customer service-- I could not be happier with this experience.
