My bill was $152 originally, then went to $192 5 months later and just 8 months later went to $245 a month. I do not see any notifications the price was going to increase and is absurd price for a storage unit. Be aware your price will double every year apparently.
Great employs service mostly online rather do stuff in person in case something goes wrong but I didn't need it that long n I payed for extra month by accident due to app r my phone but i git what i needed quick wish i didny have to get inaurance but im getting refund when i moved out so im happy

So far good rate and service is friendly but I will have to say the hours they allow you to access your unit are difficult. 9 to 530 or 6 with no after hour access suck...but for the most part its secure and friendly
The facility is nice and clean and feels secure. The hours are pretty terrible though. Most days of the week its pretty difficult to get to my unit without leaving work early.

Honestly, hours are wack. Get ready to speed here after work to get your stuff before they close. Oh you wanna throw your stuff away? No trash can, no trash access. You’ll watch the same 4 old ladies come out for their smoke breaks. Today counted 3 smoke breaks in under an hour. Crazy. Chain smokin storage. People use the bathroom trash and to put their trash in. Like what? Just give people access to the dumpster during business hours. yalls hours are stupid short, and yall already outside huffin ciggeretts every 4 minutes. Just open the dumpster.

I have mixed feelings about this business, and I’ve left lower star ratings before, but again had to revise up to a 5-star. Public Storage is not perfect by any means. Let me start by saying that the people who work at this location, especially Wenona and Patty, are very nice, very professional, and despite being underpaid, always go that extra mile. I hate that this location closes at 5 PM on weekends and 6 PM on weekdays. If you are like most people, these times make it very difficult to access your things. I build stages and store music equipment those events, and these restrictive hours make it impossible for me to access my equipment when I need it, but it is close to my loft, and other nearby storage facilities have the same hours due to the homeless problem. YES, they WILL raise your rent after you move in, and then raise it again and again, but sometimes, like once every 3 years, they reduce it a few months of you ask. This is in response to both market demand and the fact that they have you as a hostage, but that’s the storage business, and if you are using it for a short period of time in between moves, you won’t have to deal with it, but if you’re a hoarder, or if you are using it as an alternative to renting proper warehouse space like I am, I challenge you to find anything cheaper, and you will come back to the reality that any alternative space would cost significantly more. And, as much as I disagree with the principles that the storage business runs on, taking advantage of people who are emotionally attached to their stuff to boost their selfish revenues I do have mad respect for the owner of Public Storage. Yes, she is rich AF and has one of the most expensive homes in Malibu listed around $150 million, and she made her wealth by inheriting and owning a massive portfolio of real estate, funded over the years by people in transition who pay a premium to occupy her space. But she’s also one of the largest donors to USC, giving them $400 million of her personal wealth to help students further their education and realize their dreams. My daughter got a full ride to USC. So, call it full circle, or call it karma, but if I have to shell out an extra $100-200 every month from my business account that I get to write off anyway for the convenience and privilege of not having to pay a commercial lease rate for an alternative warehouse that would cost 5x more, I gladly do that in exchange for her having paid my daughter‘s $80,000 annual tuition, and the tuitions of hundreds of other kids too. Ideally, you don’t need a storage unit, and if you are in between places, you move in and out, taking advantage of the first month rent of $1 and never realizing the savage rent increases that long-term renters such as myself do. But, in a world of slumlords, lousy operators, and indifferent management teams taking advantage of the little guy, this owner is a good egg, and she hires dedicated people, starting from the frontline and up through regional management, and I give her 5-stars for doing the right thing, and her teams 5-stars for being awesome!!
Had a great experience here, Wenona went above and beyond. We had a difficult experience with our moving company and she was very helpful coordinating with us and making everything much smoother. Definitely A++.

I recently won an auction and it just so happened to be at this location .. and not only was I finding myself feeling welcomed.. just by watching how the staff worked together and assisted each guest - from long time tenant to a person with 48 hours to clear out a unit .. not only was the staff kind to each person .. I got the impression that as a general rule .. all the employees realize how each person is an important part of their business .. and goodness just comes naturally . I liked the fact that I felt I had privacy .. I also liked the feeling that they were there to assist and that a system that was proactively preventing “free for all” was in place ! The property. Is 7 years old and looks like it was built yesterday .. that has to tell you something . Personally I want to thank Wynoina ( I hope I spelt name right ) .. her professionalism far exceeds any standard a company could have .. she is an amazing employee .. I hope the company really knows how great she is . I have a feeling they do - but wanted to say so just incase . Thank you guys ..
The facility is very clean and the staff is amazing! We had a miserable day of moving where everything went wrong but shout out to Wenona who made our day and absolutely saved us. She stayed late to allow us to finish moving in and was so incredibly sweet. Thank you SO much!

Patty is a great help and was very thorough in getting me moved and settled into a new unit. The people working there are great. The corporate policies of Public Storage are extremely poor. They raise the rent every 3-6 months. Expect to see a doubling in rate by the time you hit 12 months. Forces the customer to change units yearly to maintain a standard rate. That aside, place is clean and haven't had any issues with the unit.

Why would a person give a five-star rating to a storage facility that closes and locks down before other facilities because of the following?
The staff at this facility, who manage a building with over 2000 units, are not only professional but also adept at handling a large volume of customers. Despite this, they still make time to engage with you, not just talk at you, which is a refreshing change from the norm.
You will have all your questions answered, and they will look out for your best interests and the facilities. It is a great place to rent!

I want to give a word of caution to anyone else that the facility closes at 6 pm sharp (just check the times per day) and you cannot move in or out at all past closing time. I was unaware and had to make arrangements to finish the next day but thankfully Wynona and Emily were understanding and I was able to get everything done.

The property manager, Martha, was every bit as lovely in person as she was on the phone. I hoped to get my questions answered; I didn't expect to be treated like a VIP at the Public Storage. The staff here is amazing especially Leon and Wenona! My move ran late and they went above and beyond especially for it being a snowy Sunday. They both stayed almost an hour late to accommodate me loading my storage unit . True angels. Property is super clean as well.

Wenona was amazingly helpful during my move in. The pace is clean and as described. The hours are limited, but this also means a higher level of security. You won't have to worry about people trying to steal your stuff at 2am when nobody is around. My only feedback would by that they need more dollies/carts. 1-2 is not enough for a building with 20,000 + storage units.
Storage is good. I’ve been storing items here for 4 years. But what really pisses me off is the lack of bathroom use and garbage receptacles. You’d think 4 years of monthly payments would at least get you that. Yes they have physical bathrooms that are always locked. Barriers reduce access.

You will experience problem after problem here. I suggest GreenBox Storage or LoDo Self Storage Moving Center right over the bridge. Avoid this Public Storgae location if at all possible.
Can only get in 9:30-6 (or 5:30 on weekends) and there are never dollies available. Glad I’ll only be here a few months because it’s made moving 10x harder.

I was in need of finding an affordable and safe place to move after my mom's passing from one storage to another. I needed to combine storages or move out and go elsewhere. He was so kind, listening with sincerity... His wit, charm and laughter were a joy. He offered up several suggestions I hadn't even considered. No one else there thought to recommend. He was/is the absolute best.. I even told the head manager. He's a keeper y'all!! Let's definitely have more folks like him in the world, and at public storage for sure. Seriously, he could lead the team into greater excellence in customer service care. And I bet you'd rarely lose folks except those who were no longer in need of storage. The lack of carts makes this place inconvenient for customers, and the office being locked up during the middle of the business day is unprofessional. I wish there was at least one staff members working the front desk during open hours.
I only had a unit here for a month to help with a transition between my moves but had no issues (besides there not being enough carts to move your stuff in/out of the unit when it’s busy)! Getting a unit online was super easy and Damien and Tim in the rental office were super sweet and really helpful. They saw on my account that I was charged for a lock that I never got and refunded me right then and there. The facility is also quiet and clean and in a convenient location.
For being one of the busiest parts of town I had been renting here for two years and I was definitely satisfied

You will not get good service here they have a confused "guy"? That think he acts like a girl but just shows how pathetic a place can be to let someone like that run a place. The "guy" has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.
Not to mention all the damn rules they have because of the homeless, it's not our fault they hire that type of person and allow homeless to hang out there. I know you are probably desperate and feel it's the closest place BUT I'd recommend a better place.

Extremely limited access hours (good luck if you work 9-5) and they raise the prices consistently after baiting you with a cheap quoted price. Disappointing experience all around. The most recent positive reviews are fake, all from accounts with less than 5 reviews. Price more than doubled in under 2 years. Staff is rude and entitled. Do yourself a favor and throw away your possessions instead of falling prey to their schemes.

I had problems there with the hours of operation. They seem to forget to tell you that when you rent a unit you only have access to it from 9am to 6pm and instead of increasing on the weekend it actually decreases to 5pm. I spoke with the District manager David Buck about this, he had a real nonchalant attitude over it, as if what I said didn't concern him. Stay away from any public storage unit he is in charge of.

Overall great central location for anyone living downtown Denver or in RINO and easy access for loading/unloading (something we were initially worried about ~ has not been an issue at all). They have carts available for shuffling items to and from your units, ample elevators, clean, security seems solid as well as the staff and overall management. The only problem I experienced was three months in when we got a letter in the mail letting us know that they were increasing our monthly rent by 50% (three months in!) which really ticked me off from a principle standpoint, especially knowing that the hassle of moving basically forced us into staying. Anyways, after discussing the matter with the GM David who I have to say handled the issue very professionally my faith in this place has been restored. Just be aware that with this, or any other month-to-month contract (very common amongst self storage places), your rent can go up at any time. So be sure to factor that into your budget/plans.
My time at public storage was bitter sweet only because of the friend that never actually helped move. The operators of public storage were more then happy to help me with my unit. Damien especially showed compassion and consideration when guiding me on moving in and out of public storage!
Damien in the office is a baller. Made my move out as easy as possible, and was beyond friendly. 10/10 help, if I ever need storage again I'll be coming back

I've been renting a unit for almost 3 years and have had several problems with other staff but Hannah is the most professional staff member there. Some of the new employees are very rude and seem to need more customer service training and experience. The facility is well kept and maintained as it should be. 5star to Hanna for outstanding customer service!

Update: It’s been about a year now and I’ve moved into a smaller space. Hanne and Patti put up with A LOT from the downtown crowd and still manage to be professional and behave like good humans. Public Storage is lucky to have them.

One of the cleanest and best maintained storage facilities I've experienced. Hanne and Patty are the BEST! They are both helpful and knowledgeable and make this facility what it is. Recently, all 3 elevators were out of order. I had stopped in a few times to check on the status of the elevators and was given honest answers about the timing and status. At my request, they even called me on Saturday morning to tell me that there were 2 working elevators, if I wanted to come and access my top floor storage unit.
I love storing my extra things in a facility where I feel valued as a customer AND I get to see a friendly face. Thank you Hanne and Patty!

This is the worst storage location I have ever come across. They absolutely do not help their customers. They have frequent issues all the time. Their current issue is that ALL of their elevators are out. My storage is on the top floor. All my things are very heavy, and cannot be moved by one person. But I’m just told to use the stairs without a blink on an eye. Customer service is trash. They will listen to your issue, but then they will call the manager and just side with them.
The manager at this property does not care at all about this location and will give you all of the attitude and remarks if you have any issues. She will just say it’s not her fault and go on about her day without trying to find any solution.
This place is so convenient and easy to access. As a young woman I feel very safe coming and going here. It’s very tidy, clean, and orderly. There are many locks and safety mechanisms in place so I feel very secure leaving my items here. Hanne and Patty are wonderful. Very friendly and incredibly helpful. They actually went above and beyond and helped me find my phone when I misplaced it. I would very much reccomend.
I have rented a storage unit here before and just rented another. I was guided through the process by Patricia who was really friendly and helpful.
I got a 4x4 unit for household goods and it was super clean and perfectly spacious. I feel a high degree of confidence in the security protocols at this location - I have seen the staff performing inspections while I've been at the property.

I was in the lobby with a table saw before 6pm. The whole building shut down while two employees, one woman and one man, stood looking at me. The woman heckled me about their closing time as the elevator locked down. I was stuck in the lobby while they exited the employee door. I will never recommend this facility and if my things were not already inside I would cancel immediately. As I stood outside my car trying to figure out how to lift the tool back in the car myself another customer exited the building at 6:12. Terrible customer service. Truly unbelievable.

They do a great job with security to ensure your items are safe. The climate controlled rooms are also very helpful if you have electronics or other valuables. My space was broken into through the wire ceiling. There was not much concern from the staff and I learned there had been several break ins. My belongings were broken and bags of clothing and ski gear were stolen. They also doubled the rate during my time using this storage unit. There are no cameras and often people smoking crack in their unit. Truly!

Patty the front desk lady was very courteous and helpful with the getting of my storage unit from them. Even with running a little behind of the scheduled time for meeting she didn't shrug me off or feel as if it was worse thing I could have done but went ahead and took care of me and never once made my experience unpleasant.

Completely inflexible about letting you access your unit past 5pm. Costed us hundreds of dollars and with absolutely no empathy.
EDIT: After moving our stuff in the next day, I am going to double-down on this review. The tight and inflexible hours on the weekend, along with non-reservable elevators, create an atmosphere of dangerous chaos. Someone in a different group literally broke a rib trying to get their stuff in before close.

If I could give negative stars, I would love to. Our unit was “broken into” within a few weeks of us moving in. After moving in, any time we went to the storage unit with our keys, the keys would go in to the lock but would not turn. When reporting this to the employees, they always said “weird — but call a locksmith if you’re locked out”, and left it at that. After many failed attempts with our keys, we finally did exactly that. Upon entering the unit with the locksmiths help, we found that some of our belongings were stolen. These items made up about $2,000 in value (TVs, bikes, mattress things, etc). We realized the reason our keys weren’t turning in the lock any time we tried was because these individuals put a replacement lock on our unit (another public storage lock) after breaking in and stealing what they wanted. This clearly was orchestrated. Wouldn’t be surprised if the employees are very much aware of this type of operation taking place/purposely not warning people since they were useless/didn’t once make this suggestion to us any time we reported issues with the lock they provided. We have spoken to 4 different employees since we started reporting issues. We moved in to the unit in March, we noticed key issues in May, and now in August we’re finally realizing what was going on all along. Since reporting it, it’s very clear this is the norm for this location and for the staff. 0 stars for customer service, 0 stars for safety, 0 stars for ease of use. This place is trash.
The two ladies in the front always making me crack a laugh, love their strong attitude. Always courteous and ready to work, can't get off my head if they were really watching me when I was lost looking for my storage locker up and down for over 30 minutes, 😂😂 I definitely suggest this place!

This location in downtown Denver is absolutely professional, even on crazy busy days the staff here are patient and compassionate. Patty helped me through the process of getting a storage unit with no issues even tho I had to upgrade to a bigger unit, she still helped me with a smile on her face on top of having entitled customers needing service “on the spot” . Expect it to be a busy storage facility as it is in a high traffic location.

Updated: David, District Manager reached out via phone to hear of and apologize for my experience negative today. He kindly waived any potential fees and ensured a redirection with this particular staff member would be had. I stand by my referral of this facility because of their cleanliness, efficient service and friendly associates. “The woman with a foreign accent hung up on me twice this afternoon and failed to mention another month of rent + a $300 cleaning fee would be charged as a result of leaving trash (i.e. estranged items). Her customer service and phone etiquette skills need improvement.
Someone put a random emergency contact number down when renting a unit.
That phone number happened to be mine. I have now received over 50 calls over the course of the past 6 months about said unit. I have talked to multiple employees to remove my number and they have failed to do so. If my number can actually be removed I’ll change the review. Thanks.

It’s a busy moving weekend like any weekend and this 7 story storage building has one employee on hand. Well I’m now in a line of people all waiting to get IDs back because the manager has to have a sandwich and didn’t feel it important to mention to any of us that she would be locking up. She’s also 5 minutes late at this point to reopening (still no sign of her, and it’s been a 35 minute wait for everyone.) To top it off, this public storage wants to double rates after already slowly raising them over time. Almost guarantee it’s not to have a second employee on hand so that the place is actually open for their posted hours, but to line the owners’ pockets.

Their hours are terrible if you work a 9-5, and the way the building is designed causes the units to be inconveniently far from the parking lot.
They close at 5 so it’s nearly impossible to grab stuff after work on a weekday, which is important to me as I only rented in this location because it was close to where I work during the week. I’ve rented at multiple Public Storage locations which were all open until 9 with after-hour access options, and given this building’s multiple layers of security (code at door, code in elev, then lock on your unit), I find their access hours incredibly unreasonable.
The units are nestled into a 7 story building, and are far from your car through elevators and down long hallways. Do NOT rent here if you have lots of stuff or heavy items to store. As others have said, they have limited carts which are often already taken, and some of the carts that are there hardly steer making moving exhausting. On my first day I saw people using carts and asked the staff where I could get one… they said they were all taken and that Public Storage was “lucky to have the three that we do have”. Lucky? Buy more carts and offer appropriate services to customers renting your poorly designed storage space.

EXPONENTIAL & UNJUSTIFIED PRICE INCREASES
On January 1, 2021, I began leasing a storage space for $64/month. In July, 2021, the rent was raised to $77/month. IN APRIL 2022, RENT RAISED TO $100/month. THIS WAS A 40% INCREASE IN RENT IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR. I only received one email notifying me of these increases and did not consent to them. I believe this is an unfair trade practice because renters are forced to either get rid of their belongings or pay increased rent prices way above market rate. Furthermore, the facility did not increase access or any other service that would justify the increase in rent.
Although the facility itself is very clean and feels safe, I am giving this facility a low review because RENTERS CAN ONLY ACCESS THEIR UNITS BETWEEN 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., which I did not realize when I rented the unit. Furthermore, the advertised price did not include hidden administrative fees and lock fees, which totaled $45. The fact that renters cannot access their units outside of business hours is completely inconvenient for working people and, if I had known that, I would not have rented the unit.

Only open during office hours. Meaning even though you have a door code and the elevator only let's you go to your floor you get to your stuff on their schedule. Their flat carts are basically all gone. Won't cut locks anymore if you don't have your key. All changes since I first rented. Nice enough people at the desk.. but I'm happy to be done with them.

Couldn’t find my reservation. Paid for a 1st floor unit and then my “lost” reservation was changed to a 2nd floor unit. Elevators are a nightmare to use, there are homeless people beside the building come In and out.

This is a large storage facility yet somehow they only have 2 carts available to renters to move their stuff. On 2 separate occasions I have had to wait more than 30 minutes to use a cart, and 2 other occasions I have had to hand carry stuff out in multiple loads. For the price you pay this is not worth it.
If you want to move stuff in a timely manner bring your own cart.
Elevators are broken every other few weeks. Homeless people breaking into your storage unit and finding ways to sneak in after dark makes it completely unsafe and there are no cameras in the building except the main entrance which is AWFUL. Always busy in the morning and the bathrooms are usually dirty or locked. The workers do what they can to keep the place clean and they do all the can to make you feel like your things are safe. My experience with the employees have all been well and fine and they are all very nice. You won't have an issue with the employees ever. They will always help you as much as they can. It's the area itself that's makes this place pretty sketchy
It's nice to have a location near the ballpark, but even getting to it is hidden away on some back streets. The hours do not work well with people who work regular business hours. This storage is only open during normal business hours, so good luck getting anything before or after work, you won't. Customer service is horrible. They are very unwilling to help with anything. If anything, they pretty much stand outside the main door looking at their clock counting you down to when they close. If you have other options for storage, you should definitely go elsewhere.
They only have 5 carts you can use, some of the other tenants will take 2 or more if they can. So, you need plan strategically to get a cart or bring your own wagon/cart.
One pro is that their security seems to work well. You need your specific code to enter and use the elevator. Your code will only allow you to your specific floor.
