I recently rented a unit at this facility and I'm glad I did. Over the years I've rented space at other storage facilities. None of them compare to this location. I'm a disabled senior and I was so grateful for all the help I got. I could easily navigate, the place is very clean and I felt SAFE. Isabel is a gem. She went above and beyond to help me and in this day and age that is a rare quality!

This place really went above and beyond for us. We opened a unit for my brother in law. They allowed him to access unit and paved the way for an easy move out and move in. When there were billing issues they reached out personally and immediately to handle the problem. A+ customer service.

Went in to access my stuff and elevator was not functional. Two other people are waiting for access and no one is in the office to help address this issue. Despite three different people reaching out to maintenance to help there is no resolution for this. TLDR- no one is here to address nonfunctional elevator and multiple people are waiting for access.

I just went into this public storage to ask about units im moving & was greeted by Isabel she was the sweetest most helpful person ever!!! I have visited several storage places and greeted by the rudest most unknowledgable management team ever so if you need a storage in this area definitely go here ask for Isabel she'll make your day...

They helped me navigate all the details on the app, recommended some great, movers at a great value (Affordable Movers), and they did everything they could to make my move in day very easy. Today was a difficult day in the start and who would of known that I and my husband would find a sense of peace in the most unlikely of places. A public Storage facility off of Alameda and Santa fe. To be exact 400 W. Center ave in denver, Colorado. Emily was a saint and made easy to not only want to rent a storage from them but Also was able to change my husband's mind from doing somewhere else......She is simply put awesome.

This is just an update a year on. Things are still going well, in fact better. The entry area has been cleaned up quite a bit, the bathroom is re-opened, and there are four new hand trucks. And, best of all, Isabell was on site this Sunday and helped us move to a larger space which was SUPER appreciated and handled in minutes. Thanks! From a year ago... This is my first storage experience and all is going well. Jeff, the new manager, is quite friendly and available. He walked me around to show me the various sizes, helped me sign up, helped me later move to a different space, and answers the phone real quick. The facility is clean, indoors, and climate controlled. Also, the Public Storage mobile app thing is quite clever -- opens gates/doors (and only the doors you should have access too) without fumbling around with long access codes. The location is a bit goofy, off i25 & Santa Fe behind the Home Depot, but it doesn't take long to circle around and get through the gate.

I had a unit here for almost a year. Just moving out this month. This was a great facility. Clean, air conditioned and the service from Jeff and Isabel was exceptional. My Wife and I used this location for the past six months everything was fine until we tried to end the lease. We ended the lease digitally and grabbed the rest of our belongings by the move out date but it was not mentioned to take the lock until 2 days later which we promptly did. We now get a call saying we owe $257 (our unit was only $150/month) for the days the lock was left on. I understand late fees but a months rent plus $100 for 2 days when they could have easily busted that lock is just robbery. We called to dispute and see why it's so high and customer service had a horrible attitude and was no help. Store your stuff somewhere where they won't rob you for trying to leave.

UPDATE: 10/10 recommend this location and storage unit company. Management was incredible and special shoutout to district manager David for addressing a concern that was taken care of promptly and professionally. My items felt secure and safe with the security measures of this location and would rent from here again. Thanks public storage!

Jeff is an actual angel - I was having the worst day when I got to the facility last Saturday and he not only helped me with a complicated transfer of units, but he made sure to get me a unit close to my current one so that I didn't have to run all over, helped my uhaul driver place the box conveniently, and even offered to help me move one of the heavier pieces I had. Genuinely such a great experience - if there were more Jeffs in the world, it would be a better place.

What a great positive experience renting from this Public Storage location. For seven years, I rented a double-wide space at this location and I never had a negative experience. I've recently liquidated all of the items I had stored there and before I had an opportunity to notify Jeff of my vacating, he called me to make sure everything was OK because he noticed my spaces unlocked. Imagine that! He called to make sure my things were OK. When, I said "all was well" but I no longer needed the space, Jeff said, "Let me check on your final payment since you won't be here the month of December." Are you kidding me? WOW! Talk about superior customer care! Jeff had my final payment refunded and even verified where to send the refund check! He also wanted me to talk to the liquidator and make sure I got my locks and keys back, which I had forgotten about! He didn't have to go the extra mile and I never would have known. I'm sincerely impressed by this man's follow up, attention to detail and CARING! When I need to a rent storage unit again, this is where I'll be going. No, let me rephrase that: "Whenever I need to rent storage space again, I'll go to wherever Jeff is working!" I hope Public Storage remains fortunate to have Jeff there. How very cool for me to be able to say something nice about someone and about a business!

After having a pretty crummy experience with public storage on Blake. Property manager Jeffery Thomas redeemed it. This place is clean, kept, and ran super well. He even made sure the code worked before.

Not safe to store your things here. I currently live overseas and found out via an automated email that the staff found my unit "unlocked". After having a friend go over, it was clear my unit had been looted and my most valuable objects taken. The managerial staff is completely useless and unhelpful with resolving this or getting to the bottom of it. That being said, James was extremely helpful in getting my friend into the unit to take pictures. He also noted they "have a suspect" in what has been a string of burglaries (if he is correct, for over a year now this has been happening) however nothing seems to be getting done by management to secure the building or stop the break-ins. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone. Put your things some place safe.

Upon move out, no refund for unused portion of the month. This is not my experience with other storage services.

Confusing entry into the property

The absolute WORST. I started storing here years ago before they were bought by Public Storage. It used to be immaculate, people always onsite and very friendly. Once it was bought out it went downhill. In the last 8 months, the light along my aisle hasn't worked, when I could actually talk to a person (2 times out of 10 that I tried) they told me that there were 17 work orders filed to request a repair, and that there was nothing else they could do. The grounds are filthy. Garbage is constantly overflowing, homeless camps all around the property, and dirty hallways, elevators, and exterior. I left 5 messages for the property manager (regarding the lights) and she never returned my call. To add insult to injury, when I went to move out, I couldn't get ahold of anyone to schedule the move-out, and they didn't return the $213 pro-rated rent that I was owed. They give you a great deal to move in and then incrementally raise your rent to astounding levels. My rent was $341/month for a 10x10 unit. I talked to a new move in and he said they just signed up and were only being charged $65/month currently. It's shameful that they would have that much disparity within units, especially to clients that had given them business for decades. BUYER BEWARE!!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR VALUABLES. THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR THINGS. I was left a voicemail by James from Public Storage at 400 W Cedar Avenue, telling me that they found my unit without a lock on it. I have tried calling them back many times, and leaving two messages, and no one has responded. I am in Florida, so I don't have access to my unit, but I got my brother to go out there. He found someone at the desk, who clearly was ignoring my calls, and had him open up my unit (which they had placed their own lock on). After finding out that much of everything was stolen (and plenty of things that I won't even know are gone unless I go there), whoever was the person on staff said that it happens all the time, and every unit adjacent to mine was also broken into. I found many other documented incidents of this exact same scenario, at this exact same business. They say that have cameras at the front, require code access to get through the gate, front door, AND elevator, but clearly are taking no steps whatsoever to ensure the safety of their customers' belongings. The gross negligence of this company is apparent.

I moved from Seattle to Denver and when we arrived in the city my new apartment was not available. I came to Public Storage to store my things and Jefferey was incredibly helpful during this unexpected situation. He provided great customer service and was so kind during a very stressful time. I highly recommend Public storage and want to say thank you so much to Jeffrey!

The one-star review I wrote last week was not posted or replied to. On the day I rented my storage unit at this facility, there was no overhead lighting in my aisle. The manager said it would be fixed. Nine days later I returned with my movers and the lights had not been fixed. 19 days after that I was there again--and still no lights. This is a safety issue--no one should have to work in the dark--and women in particular should not have to be concerned about their personal safety in an unlit facility. This property is engaged in extensive remodeling and repainting projects, so I'm wondering why they can afford that--but not more urgent priorities, like tenant safety? After I posted my last review, I looked through other reviews and learned that theft is a big problem at this property, so I'd suggest that anyone who cares about their safety and the security of their possessions should be looking for storage elsewhere. 9/12/2023 update: The lights have not been fixed. The district manager says "they're on order"--which makes me wonder why an important maintenance item like this--with an unusually long lead time--is not something that Public Storage keeps an inventory of? And, what a racket the insurance is! They charge you for it--even when you present a copy of your homeowners insurance. They tell you that you can cancel it in their app--which I did--but they continued to bill me for it after I did. I called Customer Service to get this taken care of, they tell me to cancel in the online account, NOT the mobile app. It would be helpful if their onsite employees knew that--and it certainly looks like you can do this in the mobile app. It's too confusing and all their emails come from DO NOT REPLY, so you have to call the 800 number for assistance, then learn that they can't/won't help you. Public Storage is a perverse company to do business with!

I worked with Jeff and as I was checking in saw him work with two other families both going through some hard things. I’ve never seen someone be such a. Great presence and shine with kindness, respect and give everyone dignity. Truly made my first experience with public storage phenomenal. I am glad to be a client.

I have been a tenant for nearly 4 weeks; the lights in the aisle where my storage unit is located weren't working on the day I rented it. The property manager assured me they would be fixed "soon." The lights had not been fixed 9 days later, when movers brought my household items to my unit. I was there today (another 19 days) and still no lighting in my aisle. This Public Storage property is engaged in extensive remodeling and repainting, but they somehow cannot get the lights fixed. WHY? This is a safety issue--it's not safe to move things in the dark--and it's not a safe place for women, if Public Storage thinks that women should wait more than 28 days for the lights to be fixed. And, the floors are dirty, there's dirt in front of every unit in my aisle. Not clean, not safe, go somewhere else.

The manager is very communicative except for when they randomly raise your rent by $50+ and you have no choice but to accept it or move your stuff out.

For anyone interested, here is my pricing history with this company in case you are considering moving in. Just received notification of an $80.00/mo increase today (Apr 27) for a Jun 1st effective date. This is for a 2nd floor, climate-controlled, 10'x15' unit, medium distance from elevator. March 2022 - $37.00 (move in) April 2022 - $63.00 (lock refund, etc) May 2022 - $150.00 (first month of standard rate) Sept 2022 - $206.00 (rent increase) June 2023 - $286.00 (scheduled increase) No real problems here but we will be leaving as there are less expensive units to be had.

Devastated. Robbed, someone was able to just take the brackets off. The bracket fell off as I clocked my unit. Up above is a big hole, and I'm just beside myself.

I popped in just to take a look and I ended up reserving a unit on the spot and switching over to them. Jeff and Kayla were amazing and really accommodating! I already recommended them to a friend who is also switching over soon

I could not have had a worse experience. I have quite a few horror stories but I'll just go into 2 here. My girlfriend and I had 2 units here for over 2 years. We had been back home for an extended period of time taking care of a family emergency and when we came back we discovered that our lock had been replaced on the unit. The manager noticed and had documented that 6 months prior but did not even attempt to notify us. We called Public Storage customer service and confirmed they are required to make daily regular sweeps and notify you if anything about your lock changes. The manager made us rent and pay for bolt cutters to bolt cut into our own unit and when we cut the lock we realized the unit had been broken into and some stuff had been stolen. The manager then rushed us out of the property as it was closing time and didn't stay with us to talk this through. We contacted the unit and corporate for compensation but none was given. We then decided we had to move out shortly after so we had to organize a few things but after several months we came back to move out of the unit. We stayed in Denver for a week to organize our move and we stopped by the storage unit 4 different days to move things in and out, and during office hours we did not see a manager or single person in the office during the scheduled working hours. Even the final day of our move, a delivery truck was scheduled to drop off supplies to the building and I had to tell him I didn't think someone had been here for almost a week. Not only this, but the managers at this property (now non existent) thought it would be a good idea to add a second, public storage lock, to my unit because it had been broken into before. Only problem with this, is that we never had the key to that other lock. And when we returned to Denver, calling ample times leading up to our return, and visiting every day for a week. Zero managers were there to help unlock that second lock. We had to call around to other public storage managers in the area, and one finally took pity on us and drove over to unlock my storage unit with her universal key. Without this we would have never been able to open my unit and get my stuff in time for the movers we had hired. Not only that, but this other manager from another property called FOUR DIFFERENT PEOPLE, and NOT ONE of them knew who was supposed to be working this property. Customer Service was of no help, as when I explained the situation, they would just keep forwarding me to the phone of the office in our property building... which I was standing in front of... clearly able to see it was abandoned... just listening to the phone ring. The incompetency from all involved was beyond belief. I have no idea what's going on at that property but apparently it's frequent to break-ins (confirmed by another manager) and from what I can tell, it hasn't been managed at all, in quite a while. Good luck to those here and hopefully you don't have to deal with property management but I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere if you are deciding between properties or different storage providers in the area.

Staff here was good but security of the units is questionable at best. The day before I moved stuff out I witnessed someone try to get into the facility without using the code box. He had a long rope and was trying to open up a door from the outsude. I wasn't going to let him in. When I went to move out I noticed NUMEROUS bolt cutter marks on my lock. Luckily I didn't have anything valuable in my unit but I'm not everybody. No cameras in the storage unit either would make tracking down a thief next to impossible.

Staff was friendly and helpful, convenient to access, carts usually available. Recommend to anybody who needs a place to keep stuff.

Ali was really helpful when we switched from a 10 x 10 to a 5 x 10. He switched our door lock thing out for us immediately because the one on our door was damaged. He also got us refunded for the lock we were charged because we brought our own. Gave 4 stars because they really need more carts at this location, there are like 3 that I've ever seen, and often times people have to go without them.

I had my unit for a short while while I was transitioning between places to live, the facility was clean and always accessible. I moved out of my unit on the 2nd of October and my auto pay had already gone through for the month of October, the gentleman attending the location helped me get a refund on that month. He was very helpful and understanding as I work 2 jobs and have very little time to get anything done. I'm very appreciative of that young man and his excellent customer service as I didn't even ask for a refund, he suggested it and made it happen.

My lock was cut and some things were stolen out of my unit. Just like another review the thieves cut my lock and put their own on. I was told thieves get their own unit so they can go through other units when no one is at the front desk. Security is a joke. I've moved out now and will never use public storage again. Stay away.

Brittany was SO helpful!!! It took me all of 15 minutes to reserve, pay for, and have access to my storage unit. Brittany was there to answer any questions I had, showed me to my unit, and was patient with me when I wanted to try opening access doors. This was one thing on my to do list that wasn’t stressful thanks to Brittany!!

I have been a very happy customer mostly because of ELAINE!! She has made all my moves over the last few months so easy and she communicates so well. She knows the ins and outs of the building. She’s helped me with a variety of issues I’ve faced like locking myself out of my unit and directing movers. She’s made my experience great. I have been a customer for 9 months with the very largest storage unit so it’s important for me to feel confident that my unit is safe. Elaine has made me feel confident about using public storage!! PS wouldn’t be the same without her.

Went into public storage to look for a unit. I was looking at different storage. The other storage places were rude. But I walked in and Elaine was really friendly and helpful. Elaine was Able to give me good prices.

Every single hand cart is broken, if you can find one at all. None of the tops of the carts are bolted to the frames. Recently they added another security door, so there arent as many creeps hanging around outside, so at least some good changes are happening.

Though prices are going up just like every other place, I feel fairly confident of the security. I have not had any issues with the staff here and the technology used for access control is perfect!

Lock was cut and unit was robbed even though it was indoor - company not holding accountability - STAY AWAY, your stuff will be stolen here.

UNITS ROBBED DAILY!! STAY AWAY!! THE OTHER 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FROM BOTS!! Dozens of units robbed in the last few weeks alone. The facility is being robbed almost daily now. Either buy your own external insurance or say good bye to your belongings. Almost all high star reviews are from fake accounts that rate many locations around Denver all at once. Obviously fake. This location is trying to hide what's happening.

Don't trust this location to store anything valuable. The lock for your unit will get cut by thieves without anyone at the front office noticing. Said thieves likely own a unit in the same location, and have a nice cottage industry plundering neighboring units and storing the loot in theirs. Had to buy a bolt cutter to remove their lock, but thankfully I didn't have anything in there that was irreplaceable. Front office (and Public Storage) will deflect any responsibility/accountability. Stay away!

Elaine is an amazing concierge and has amazing Customer service very funny and lighthearted. She needs a raise if she hasn't already.

I use a storage unit at this Public Storage facility. I find Elaine, the manager, very helpful and welcoming. The progressive lighting in the hallways is effective and efficient. And there’s easy access on and off of I-25. Use the app … it makes entering and exiting much easier.
