Arrived prepared with a vehicle and help 2 hours before closing to empty my storage. Came in the evening due to excessive heat. There was a sign taped to the elevator stating out of order and to call the manager. I called the manager multiple times/left multiple messages. No one called back. I attempted different doors but access denied. I finally found access on the other side of the building only by stairs. I attempted to move the items down the stairs but after almost falling down the stairs, twisting my knee and would have taken hours to accomplish, I stopped. Moving all items from the 2nd floor using stairs is not a safe or realistic alternative option. There is not an alternate elevator. I finally received a call back the next day apologizing that the elevator being out of service; however, I was not given the timeline when the elevator would be running again and told to use the stairs. When I explained the dilemma, I was told again to use the stairs, I was reminded of the storage hours and referred to my rental agreement. I was not offered any consolation for the expense, inconvenience and will am expected pay for another month of storage because “the stairs were available”.

If you’re looking for a clean and safe storage unit, stop your search! This is the place. I just moved in today and Trace was super helpful. I love how easy it is to get in and out of the property through my app and I love that there is a police station right around the corner (so no issues with Riff Raff)!

If you can store your possessions elsewhere I would recommend that you do it. Public Storage is greedy and when you have two or more units with them, do you get a discount? No! Not at all.
UPDATE: I have to hand it to them on their customer service. They saw my original review (below) and called me directly. The customer service rep informed me she reached out to the property manager to ensure they are not short on carts. She also lowered my rate by 16% for the next 3 months. This definitely helps get the bad taste out of my mouth as it feels like a much more reasonable rate for the space I'm renting. I'm hesitant to raise the review to 4 stars because that 3 month reprieve will be over quick and I'll be right back at my previous rate. I'll see how it goes after the discount expires.

They jacked up my rent 40% after the first 5 months. 9 months later they raised it 27% on top of that. I get that rent goes up every year - I expect it. But jacking it up 78% in 14 months is just predatory. Get all your stuff moved in, then they have you by the balls. And clearly the price hikes aren't going into more/new carts. Every time I go there are fewer available.

Really sad to find out Alyssa isn’t with the company anymore. She was so awesome at everything she did and I was really liking how she was keeping the property . I only really got the unit with how much she was able to convince me . Anyway I definitely will be looking elsewhere now
I needed storage quickly! It was so easy to arrange online. I had everything I needed when I got on-site to access my space. The site is clean and well-lit, and I was able to find my space easily because of efficient signage. I would recommend to anyone looking for safe and reasonably priced storage.

Renter beware!! Just moved out after being there for over 4 years! Moved in on a special—$110/month. Now I am paying $420!!!
Read the fine print—the annual PI is excessive and far exceeds normal cost of living.
I encourage you to do what I did—move out or don’t use them! Buy a tuff shed—for your back yard and SAVE! Last weekend while there many people moving out. So many that I get a “6 month” discount on my rate. Too little too late!!!

Avoid Public Storage at 631 Collins Ave Orange, like cancer.
If you are a senior citizen (67 years old)or handicapped (I need a cane until hip surgery) they will be on you daily about how long you are there.
As a bookseller Xmas is our busiest time of year and every time I was pulling or packing shipments they made it a point to tell me.
I got my second strike during Xmas and my third after the holidays when cleaning up.
I received an ail telling me to vacate on Jan. 30.
There were constantly complaining about a chair inside I sat on.
In a 5 x 10 unit I can only walk to the back and have to sit down as I was due for hip surgery. I'm paying over $3.00 a square foot and if that chair cost me $15.00 a month you would think I need it.
$188.00 for a 5 x 10 highest price in Orange.
One problem with having to sit back there is the mice come out to play and look for food.
I trapped mine and took him with me. Worst public storage rental I've ever had. I was leaving in a full truck and they're asking if it's vacant early. I will never rent from Public Storage again. We found one 6 miles closer to home at 60 % less.
