Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4295 Outer Traffic Circle, Long Beach, CA

Very helpful and friendly.

Location is smaller but that’s good so it’s easier to get to unit. Sarahi is wonderful and extremely helpful.

RENTER BEWARE OF CRAZY RATE INCREASES AND MOVE OUT POLICY! At first I was happy with the ease of move in and cleanliness of the facility but that all changed when it was time to move out due to substantial price increase after only 3 months. I rented mid month and paid a prorated fee plus an admin fee and renters insurance. After 3 months they sent me a notice that my rent would be increased by $50 the following month. I moved my belongings out and contacted the facility saying that it was clean and empty. I just needed to remove the locks. Unknowingly, I had to use the access code to remove the locks and I did that on the first day of the month and received a closing bill for the entire month because I accessed the unit. They said they don’t prorate the month and I’d be responsible for the entire month even though I wasn’t there and they rented it to someone else. I tried contacting management and they refused to remove the charge. I tried to fight it and they sent me to collections. I feel the $50 increase per month after just 3 months on a $172 unit was unreasonable AND their “policy” of no prorating when you move out only when you move in is not in the customer’s best interest only a way for the corporation to gouge their customers for more money. They turned around and rented the unit charging the new customer for the same month that I was responsible to pay. Very unhappy customer

Sarah was a great help and got me set up very quickly. Clean facility. Hopefully all of my stuff comes back bug free! :) Update from 2016 - can't believe I never updated this review. My stuff was stolen with no evidence of forced entry and lock was still on. Nothing was taken except music equipment (guitars, etc). Staff helped me and the cops go through the security tapes, but the range of time was too long. My personal suspicion was that the manager who had the only other key, let themselves in and took what they knew would sell. Found some of my gear at Cerritos Guitar Center and cops helped me get it back since I had serial #s. I will never use another Public Storage facility again.

I was impressed with this facility at first but then I had the experience of someone breaking into my unit and could not find out who because they do not have surveillance cameras disappointed …

Sitting outside the office during open hours now as I type this, waiting outside for someone to come and unlock the door as they have my drivers license (in exchange for a cart) and haven’t returned to the office in over 30 minutes now. I’ve called 5+ times, knocked, walked the property (of the floor I’m allowed to access). This is unprofessional, if you’re going to hold ID’s then you HAVE to have someone there to give it back. I’ve now been officially waiting 3x longer than my unit visit should’ve been.

Sarahi was more than helpful! I couldn't have asked for a better staff member to assist me. It was my first time at this location. And I felt a bit lost. She dialed everything in for me. Personally took me to my unit. Answered every question I had. And made the overall experience very relaxed, easy and nice frankly. She's a good employee. I recommend you pay her well and hang on to her. She concretes your relationship with your customers. An honest to goodness customer service experience that all others will be scrutinized by, she set the bar very high!

Five Star Experience. Was actually shown how to enter the facility with codes and how to lock the unit. Was taken of even thou another customer tried to have personal to switch units. However, personal look out for my best interest and I really appreciate that. Thank you for the great experience. Michael is the best!!

Mike was incredible. Patient, well-versed, knowledge, and efficient. I came to inquire about a downgrade in unit side and he seamlessly was able to assist be in minutes, allowing for a some transfer process. As an operations executive myself- I appreciate his customer service, as well as his business acumen and communication style. A+ for Mike. Pricey but super clean and great service

Really expensive and kinda scammy. Customer support is friendly but never available have to do everything yourself online. Make sure you move by end of the month cause they’re no partial monthly charges.

The facility is super clean, organized, easy to access and best of all was George, the manager on duty. He was so kind and easy going and provided us all of the information that we needed.

We rented a unit earlier this year as we’ve moved overseas and needed to store our belongings while away. I visited multiple storage facilities around Long Beach and this location is beyond compare when considering access hours and condition of the facility. Ken and his team have been nothing but helpful, going above and beyond to assist us with anything we need. While the monthly rent is set to increase, working with such a dedicated and professional team has made the process far more manageable.

One of the nicer storage businesses, close to home, in a safe area near traffic circle in Long Beach. It’s open late, and the staff are friendly and it’s a clean facility.

Beware if you fall on any hard times, they will not work with you. They will not answer the phone. and then they will sell your things while you are making the payments.

Bought a unit from auction, and I was accommodated despite being late, and Crystal was super cool about showing me around. She was a huge factor in making this place A+, and it’s also clean and quiet. You’re doing great, never would’ve known you were new 😉

The on-site manager was extremely helpful and accommodating, nice site quiet.

Clean, safe, and close to my home. Friendly and helpful staff. Also the latest access hours in town. Happy with current unit overall. I would recommend to anyone who needs storage.

UPDATE: We just rented our second unit from this location and got the same stellar service from Ken. Excited to have a nice safe and clean storage facility. This place fit the bill for us: clean, temperature controlled, well lit and secure. We only wish it didn't cost as much as it did but you get what you pay for. And, having this extra space has literally given me some of my sanity back as we are going through items in our home.
