Once again they’ve outdone themselves, I had an issue regarding my account and the managers in the office helped out with getting that resolved and made it so much easier for me- Thank you Rosmeri and Mateo
Very clean place
I've rented a storage unit at the 5500 San Fernando Rd location in Glendale since 2016 and sadly, my review of this particular location has changed dramatically, for the worse. Every since the major staff turnover a little over a year ago, this location has taken a nose dive. The staff from lobby to the district manager, are incompetent and rude. Points to keep in mind before paying for a unit. Despite the low rate you receive at the point of signing, your rate will skyrocket in a few short months. The gates to enter the property are often broken. People have scheduled moves in or out and can't do so because the gates aren't working. The elevators have all broken down at the same time causing tenants to use stairs to move. The one public bathroom allowed for tenants although there are several others, is most times too filthy to use. However, what I caution single women of using this facility of, there is a mentality disturbed man who assaulted me early one morning while the office was closed. If possible, I will post the video of him. It happened this past weekend. I immediately sent an email to the district manager, Aracille and despite the evidence, my video recording and theirs, and, my filing a police report she's chosen to ignore it. Time for legal action. I would advise anyone looking to rent at this location, not to. It much too dangerous.

I have been a customer at this location on San Fernando for several years and I have to say, I have been treated better than I could have asked for! They are reasonable price wise and every employee I have had to conduct business with weather in person or on the phone directly to the personnel in the office has been nothing short of exceptionally fantastic 👏 xoxo to you all for the holiday season ahead of us and thank you sooo much for everything.

Steven approached me and had great customer service. Steven had so much knowledge of store products, different options, just in general company knowledge in general that he blow my socks off by educating me thoroughly about the history of public storage . I was mesmerized by how one employee that's way on the bottom of the barrel has not been promoted to CEO by now.

DON’T BE FOOLED!!! They’ll jack up your rates right after you’ve moved in. Mine went up by 33% only 5 months later.
Then kept going up every 3-4 months. I tried to offset this by downsizing to a smaller unit. After downsizing 3 times, I was still paying nearly as much as when I first signed up. Turns out this is their business model…raising rates because it’s too inconvenient for you to move elsewhere.
Absolutely predatory business practices. And guess what, clowns…I’ve finally closed my unit and moved away entirely after 2 years. Giving my stuff away for free saved me more money than paying over-priced storage fees.
I will continue to tell everybody and post about your awful business practices on my popular blog. Congrats for capitalism! 😎

I recently had the pleasure of renting a storage unit at Public Storage, and I must commend the exceptional service provided by Ilse. From the moment I walked in, Ilse greeted me warmly and attentively listened to my storage needs.
Ilse guided me through the available unit options, ensuring I selected the perfect size for my belongings. Her patience and willingness to answer all my questions put me at ease, knowing I was making an informed decision.
I highly recommend Public Storage for its convenient facilities and, most importantly, commend Ilse for her outstanding service. Her professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction have undoubtedly earned my loyalty as a satisfied customer.

Mateo gave me an alternate way to access the elevators saving time with the annoying access on the app. Steven helped carry stuff when he clearly doesn’t have to. I have been a tenant at this facility for over 10 years... the staff have always been excellent to deal with... they care and are responsive to all requests. I appreciate all the first class support that Steven and Rosemarie have provided. But after all these years of paying and watching the rates rise and increase to ridiculous amounts, I asked the team to reach out to their district manager to see if they could come up with a reasonable rate for me.... one that is equal to the current market value of the same exact unit. I found the same unit that I was being asked to pay over $900 for advertised on their website for $425 in the same facility. If I have been your tenant paying you for 10 years, should I have to pay double the going rate for the same unit? Does that make any sense? The staff reached out on my behalf multiple times to request an account review and adjustment, and for over a month I had zero response. So I decided to reach out directly in the hope that a valued loyal customer like me would be treated fairly and be made to feel taken care of. In my own business, I cannot ignore my client's requests and make them feel as if I will not accommodate them at all. The least someone can do is provide the courtesy of a reply and offer some sort of a reasonable compromise. Unfortunately, I never received a single response or offer for a small reduction. That's not how you are supposed to run a business. There are plenty of other nearby facility options available out there... so if you don't care I can just simply go elsewhere... such a shame that something that is really so easy to logically resolve would be handled in this way.

Ilse helped me set up a new unit at the Glendale location. I have had a unit in another public storage space for years and this one blows my previous facility out of the water. This space is clean, well managed and feels safer all together. Great experience.

Two employees stated will take 7 to 10 business days to get the lock removed. Stella the person that does the job to remove the locks was on the property when arrived. Got lucky. Didn't have to wait. Steven assisted with the paperwork & new lock. Stella's supreme work, took my old lock off in seconds. Both employees are so friendly, kind, quick & was back in my locker in just moments. I cannot believe I've been renting from this location since 2017. I've been here this long because of Teresa and the exceptional way she's operated this facility. I've been a customer at several PS locations over the past 20 years and this location surpasses them all. The facility is clean and I feel safe. Teresa as always been accommodating to my needs in a courteous and professional manner. I've heard numerous customers singing her praises. The office staff is amazing in there position each, providing courteous and professional assistance. If you're looking for a storage facility, I highly recommend this one.

It is a nice space but they raised my monthly rate by almost 40% right after moving in, I complained and they lowered it to a 30% increase. Feel tricked

I wanted to inform you that the manager at 1856 Riverside Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA is a liar and dishonest and a thief. I drove 4 hours there to clean out my unit to be told that the gate was broken and also that somebody broke into the building, and broke into my unit and stole everything. I called the police and there was no report of such things. The lady simply made this story up and cleaned out my unit. I also think this is illegal. I just wanted you to know I will never do business here again and you should look into the employees at this location.
From beginning to end of my public storage rental. Everything went smooth the front desk employees are fantastic and always there for you to answer any questions you need. And the facility is very clean. And access is easy in and out.

Giving 2 stars for interaction with Teresa. My husband and I were made to feel very uncomfortable when the question came up on our relationship to one another. To help you better understand. I am a black women and my husband is a white male. Our last names are the same and we are literally wearing our rings. Teresa asks are we a couple? When I respond “We are married.” She states she didn’t want to assume. How foolish? No apology, she just moves on.
To top it off, Teresa has called my phone at least 4 times before we met in person and she never told us the ENTIRE time we were dealing with her that she was Teresa the person we have been speaking to. My husband had to ask her for her name when we were LEAVING. Unprofessional!
As far as the unit and the building we would give it 4 stars based on what we’ve seen. However Teresa put a bad taste in our mouth and lacks accountability when it is clear you have made the people who you are doing business with uncomfortable.
First time with Public Storage and it is not at all a great start. It’s very clear that it’s only about getting our money. They won’t get it for long with employees like this.

Do not rent there. We tried to keep items there for our company. These people act high and mighty like you are beneath them. The staff sits around talking like they are at a hipster coffee shop and they are over confident talking to you like they are rich and you are poor.
And, they harass you. They constantly call you, email you, text you…it’s the worst storage company around.
Lastly…these people do nothing but threaten you. Before your due date, on your due date, even 1 second after your due date. They keep wanting they will sell your property and i guess they get commission because it’s all they talk about.
We took our business elsewhere and hope not never see the staff that work there or this company ever again.

Easy to follow directions, convenient access to the rented space, and helpful, friendly staff. The move-out process also went off without a hitch. I cleaned out the storage space, checked in briefly with the front desk, and was on my way. A few hours later, I received a notice via email about my move-out. The lady at the desk was most helpful; I believe it was Theresa (so sorry, if I am misspelling that).

The purpose of this statement is to report a theft at the Public Storage Germantown, MD. Location at 12423 Middlebrook Road, Germantown, MD. Throughout the week of July 20th-26 I was in daily communication via e-mail with Mr. Jeffrey Clark who informed me that the Senior District Manager Josh Clark was going to have someone on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, due to the facility being a virtual storage with no real person on site. Despite the reassurances from both Mr. Jeffrey & Josh Clark nobody showed up at 9:30am and even though I stayed until 10:00 am to no avail I never received my items. Therefore, due to the theft I have hired a lawyer and we are looking into all available legal remedies to include launching an investigation with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. It is only my hope that other individuals have not have their items stolen either which in the case they have experienced similar treatment as myself a potential class action lawsuit will be filed against Public Storage.

Website doesn’t clearly mention that the 5x4 is on a higher level and only reachable by ladder, I feel like I got scammed out of $30 administrator fee because I signed the agreement online before seeing the unit. Be careful.

Sadly, the service is getting worse each time we go - and they nickel and dime you on the side. While I totally agree that they have office ours - they used to give access 24/7. Now, outside their office hours, you will not even have access to bathrooms or trolleys.
Then, when renting storage, you had to buy their locks - they must have their Public Storage stickers on them. I showed my identical locks: not good enough.
Now: the very same stickers are not good enough. You had to buy a new lock.
Not only does one no longer gets 1stmonth off as advertised - as a returning customer, but you also have to pay a signing fee - and the new locks. And insurance, of course. Their insurance. Ours was not good enough. I need to buy insurance that we are covered when THEY have a problem. Wow.
Teresa's customer service is unmatched. She is very professional and always helps us with any questions we have. And they do a great job maintaining a clean facility

Really nice facility with excellent customer service. It had been a while since I used a Public Storage facility and things have changed for the better. A lot of lessons learned has led to a much better system.

It has never been easier to store your stuff and access it when needed.
Both Nick and Ilya are really awesome and set the standard for personalized customer service. They made the whole reservation and contract process a breeze, from the welcome text to a thorough walkthrough of the facility, and instructions and tips for how and when to access your unit.
I was really dreading storing my important "clutter" in a storage facility again. I've had bad experiences in the past. This place is only six years old - one of the newest in the area, and it's freeway close. I'm so LUCKY and HAPPY that I found this place.

I have used this facility a few times when I need to move. The climate control, updated locking system, and clean facility make this the best Public Storage around. If you are looking for a secure location and the best staff, Teresa and Nick are the best, then look no further. I prefer this location over others I have used in the past. I keep coming back to this location because they really go over everything with you to make sure you get the right space for your needs and give you tips on how to store items that you might not have thought of.

The property was very clean and well kept. It’s very easy to navigate and big.
I recently moved over to this Public Storage from a different storage business, and I was so impressed by the professionalism of this facility! Teresa was so helpful and friendly - I really felt taken care of as a customer. The facility itself is nice and new and high tech in terms of access, I actually love going to this storage facility. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of a storage unit!
