Do not rent from public storage they are a greedy company that is only interested in jacking your rates after they get you in for a cheaper price. Highly recommend going to see Justin at Arizona State storage family owned and operated won't jack your rates up and when you call you actually talk to a human! Bad customer service ….. I was backing out a parking spot when manger Michale comes zooming past me in his white Mercedes cuts me off. Makes me slam on my breaks shifting everything in my U-Haul then he goes walking in like nothing helping check 930 am this morning. I’m telling everyone to not use this public storage

I lost my lock and Michael and Danny helped me out tremendously with getting a locksmith out there and a new lock
I began storing my items at this location in Nov 23 before going out of town for 9 months. At that time I paid $161 per month for rent using the lock that Public Storage sold me. The bay doors did not work, it was open to anyone to walk right in. In January, I recieved a call that my unit was unlocked and I should come down and lock it. Long story short there were a string of burglaries and I was a victim. My unit was burglarized and a mountain bike and electric scooter were stolen and I had to go through that with Scottsdale PD, insurance etc - what a headache to deal with on the road. Luckily Scottsdale PD is fantastic. Come May, the price for the unit increased to $220 a month. Finally emptied the unit last weekend and the day before recieved another email that if I were to have stayed, the price would increase to $289 a month. That is a shocking 79.5% increase in less than a year's time. What a terrible experience. Beware.

Great A/c storage with some drive up units that are under A/C! I love this place because you pull your car or Uhaul into an air conditions loading area so you are not parked out in the sun in the hot Arizona heat!! This place is super clean and Dani at the front desk was extremely helpful and super nice! I’d recommend this storage place!

She took the time to explain the entire process thoroughly, and I feel like ease, knowing all my things are secure. The complex is so clean and they are very friendly.

This is a ‘Deborah Appreciation Post’ first and a Public Storage review second. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for property managers like Deborah. Deborah is kind, intelligent, patient, meticulous, and she genuinely cares about this Public Storage location on not only a professional but a personal level. There’s no one more qualified or enthusiastic than Deborah to be a property manager for this or any storage facility of her choosing- any facility frankly would be lucky to have her there. In addition to the wonderful Deborah, I do not feel safe at any other chain of storage- I have rented at this location previously and when I came back (and got to meet Deborah) I knew I was yet again in the right place to be for storing my precious items safely and securely.
This location’s facility is immaculately kept- clean as heck, meticulously maintained by way of the care they take in the upkeep of the units themselves, and there is even unjokingly- a hint of care and calm that you feel when you’re in this place. I feel 1,000% safe and unbothered being in the belly of this location even though these giant, liminal spaces usually creep me out so so SO much. Honestly, let’s be real- that’s all thanks to Deborah. I know I’m good to go about my business and that my stuff will be safe and unharmed. All I can say is good on Public Storage for choosing such a qualified and personable professional to look after their property. Their promise of quality has always been upheld by their choices in property management and for that, I thank them for the peace of mind.
Deborah is a life saver! I walked into her store with a major problem that she helped me resolve quickly and easily. The front door of the unit I originally rent was too small and I had movers coming the next day to move my things into that unit. Thankfully, she was able to close out that storage unit and re-rent me one that was much large to fit all of my living room furniture at a decent price. She walked me all throughout the property showed me personally where my unit was. She showed me how to access the storage entrance and where my movers would need me to park to unload my things. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and focused on helping me resolve the problem. I'm truly grateful for her help and expertise. I'm really not sure what I would have done without her. Anyone who needs help needs to go to Deborah!

This is my second time renting a storage space here. I went back because of the pricing and great service. I was very happy to see the property manager, Debbie, is still there. She's very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Debbie and her team are amazing. With the rent spikes every 6 months from the national Public Storage we were ready to move. Debbie helped us transfer units (ours was too big to begin with), get a great deal and stay as loyal customers. Their customer service is amazing and we actually feel valued which is rare. Not to mention great location, always clean, A/C, getting in is easy and carts are available when I need one.

Wonderful employees! I didn’t realize that I arrived before store hours until I went to go in. One of the employees came out and helped me. I was delivering boxes to my mom’s unit and could not get the lock open. The same, very kind, employee appeared and showed me how to open the storage unit. This was all before they officially opened. I should have gotten her name! She had no idea that I have had one of the worst weeks of all time. Her kindness was above and beyond and so appreciated! Great place! Thank you

This is my first time renting out a storage unit and Debbie made everything so fast and easy! She showed us to our unit and how to lock and unlock the unit. The lock we got was a little finicky, in which Debbie replaced it for us and waived the lock fee. She was really nice and had a great sense of humor!

I think it’s terrible how they stole my friends belongings. They told her to pay an amount she pay the amount, and then the auction, her stuff despicable.
There was no need to go looking around for a storage. It's conveniently around the corner from my apartment. Debbie was so helpful. The hours work so well for us & I'm sure others as well. I've rented from other places before & the hours did not stay open this late. This is a definite plus. The only thing that is a downfall is waiting for a dolly if needed. Other than that, the place is well kept clean, the elevator works & there's AC.

This facility has treated me terribly specifically the power hunger so called manager Debbie. They auctioned my stuff 3 days after I paid my bill in full according to them. I asked how much to pay they told me how much I paid it thinking I was paid in full 3 days later they auctioned my entire life for 300 dollars I am heartbroken
I have had a storage unit at this facility for several years. I had a death in my family and I had to leave the state. I knew at this time I had to call the storage as I needed to make them a payment. I was in a rural area and had no access to computers, however I did call explained me that I needed to pay X dollar amounts which I paid three days later the auction my entire life in my storage all my family photos family heirlooms quilts my grandmother had made I’m just devastated I may never get over it I don’t recommend this facility at all. The manager on property her name is Debbie she is a terrible mean hateful person. As when I called her to question her about this she only hung up on me
I have found the manager Debbie there to be untruthful conniving never on the premises very rude on the phone I’ve had a terrible terrible experience with this site and this manager don’t use this storage facility I’m sure you’ll be sorry if you do.
Went in and Debbie waited on me. She literally took her time and showed me around. Wonderful customer service!

I don't know if they have a new office manager or if she's just on her period today... Or if some personal matter turned you into that raging lunatic that charged at me, but that is no way to treat customers, or handle a parking situation... Will never be back. Will make sure nobody I know uses this location until the lady is reprimanded or apologizes to my face.
I really appreciated the correspondence I was able to get with the storage unit for the three years I had it, as well as the courteous staff especially Debbie. Very understanding person. After closing my account this past weekend I was sent a letter stating I had a Lien on my account due to failure to pay and further accrued charges and was dated to be posted and mailed out TWO DAYS after the unit was closed paid in full. They were also giving conflicting information, one employee stated they would prorate the move out as I was there for only two days into the month, another stated it is only done for move in not move out so I paid for a whole month of no use. While I had a great experience up until this point it leaves a bad taste in your mouth for something like this happen after you’re complete with the stress of moving things out and trying to get it cleared especially when items in a unit normally belongs to that of a loved one who is unable to either take care of it themselves or are no longer around.
Debbie is the greatest employee this place can have she’s always great polite and tries to help in anyway she can
Deborah is amazing and friendly. She has been nothing but helpful every time I have needed her. Even before others official business hours! Above and beyond! I would rent just because of her!
If you are not persuaded by that, the cleanliness should. It’s a very clean facility and very secure. Lots of locked doors that only allow renters of that particular section to enter using your specific code.
Katie was great and went out of her way to help us. Kind and friendly!! And the premises were clean. Thank you for helping us in our time of need.
UPDATE OCTOBER 17TH 2022.
So it seems like they have removed most of the cooler vents and ducts. Which makes it alot warmer. Stay hydrated when you are in here.

So it looks like now we will have to be paying for all of the upgrades and fixing they did. They have INCREASED MY SPACE RENT $50.00 WITH ONLY ONE MONTH NOTICE!!!
I am on fixed income and a senior. This is why we liked when it was EXTRA SPACE STORAGE.
UPDATE 2/26/2022
YaY!!! They have finally replaced the doors with much better Quick Opening Garage Doors. The Exit has red lights to alert you that they are not open and do not drive through them. Lights turn green when access is open. They also put in place strong safety rails/poles to prevent from damaging glass doors.

Edit: 8/12/21 I am editing my review since Public Storage has bought it. I have been back to my storage cleaning and downsizing for the last 2 weeks. My storage is on the second level and it's always stuffy and hot. This facility was ALWAYS cool when Extra Space Storage had it. And it was Always clean. The rates have increased also. And the entrance door hasn't been functional.
So I am editing my stars to 1.
Extra Space Storage review: I would like to take a moment here to Thank Todd and Becky for a Super job managing Extra Space Storage conveniently located off the 101 in South Scottsdale. Super Clean! They BOTH go above and beyond to accommodate the perfect size storage needed for my items. They are patient, understanding and kind. I would totally Recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a storage facility.

Debbie was extremely helpful and friendly! She made everything a breeze, showed us where our unit was, how to get in, so on the move day, we knew exactly where to go. The facility is very clean and well lit inside. Definitely recommend! Big shout out to Debbie!!
i don't always write reviews, but i wanted to take the time to commend Debbie (local property manager at this facility). She is very customer focused and goes the extra mile in ensuring that her customers are taken care of (not always easy in todays world).
Public Storage should be proud to have her as a part of their management team!
Just remember the initial price may be great but increases in pricing can be high from month to month. Unfortunately it's today's world we live in.
I have been using this location for the past 2.5 years and am so happy with the place and the customer service. Debbie has helped me with my unit, any billing issues and also when I needed help getting in the doors. I live out of state and have misplaced my info before. She never hesitates to get back to me when I need assistance.
The place is spotless and I plan on staying here for as long as I need storage. Thank you for a great experience.
I am very thankful for Debbie at Public Storage. She is incredibly sweet, communicative, and very helpful. She made the initial set up a breeze and we liked the location so much, that now we have two units! I am not used to this sort of service from a storage facility.
Aside from the service, I feel very safe in this facility, and it is always clean and well maintained. It is also in a great location and the loading/unloading area is in the shade which is a added bonus!
Debbie helped me get into my storage unit and was absolutely amazing. I originally signed up for the wrong unit and she stopped me before I left which saved me so much time. She totally redid my entire account from start to finish in order to help me out and get me into the unit I needed. Hope upper management takes great care of Debbie because she really is a wonderful employee who willingly went above and beyond.
Just opened my storage unit here and with the help of Debbie it was easy and fast. She was very friendly & helpful; went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed and get me the best unit and deal. The facility was very clean and long hours of access. Highly recommend this pubic storage.
Disapointed. The storage started at $87 a month. It was up to $175 last month! This was insane! I just moved out of it today. Just know the longer you use this storage the more you will pay in the end. The facility is clean and has a.c. units however.
Debbie was great! I scheduled an appointment and was on my way in 15 minutes 👍 highly recommend this location.

This storage facility is one of the most premier places I have ever been to. The place is immaculate and the drive thru makes it heaven sent to store my valuables in. The highlight of the facility is the Manager Ames Deborah. Deb is simply amazing. She is sweet, accommodating and does her job with the utmost professional attitude. Public Storage company is lucky to have such an employee.

Public Storage had issues after taking over from extra space and my previous review reflected my frustrations, however they improved the place and staff has been really terrific after the transition.

The staff was very professional and helpful with any questions. I would say that they should advertise that insurance is necessary when renting a unit…..thus, monthly payment is higher.

Want to thank the facility manager Deborah and her coworker I didn't get his name but I want to thank them both for all their help today.. My family vehicle broke down near by this location and they were so helpful and welcoming kind as they allowed me and my family to wait in their clean cool facility until the towing truck arrived offered water as well Thank you both for all your help!

Manager and crew were so helpful from start to end. They made everything quick and easy. They didn't just have the best prices, they have great customer service as well!
Clean, modern, well-maintained, climate-controlled space. Also, I was out there last night getting stuff into my unit and ran into a technical problem with my site-issued lock. Frustrated, I used the call button on one of the gates, not even expecting a human to answer, but not sure what else to do. Peter responded and methodically helped work me through the issue. He was cheerful, efficient and knowledgeable and and seemed to really work hard to get my problem cleared quickly. It could have been a very bad situation, but it ended well and I was happy.
We visited this location to see the air conditioned storage facility. Peter and Debbie were very friendly and helpful. The facility was great, just a bit too far for us.

This was the best experience I have ever had renting a storage unit. Debra the manager was very helpful in this process. I have the privledge to work with a great team there at the mcdowell location. Debbie the manager has always been able to assist me with no hesitation. The location is always so clean and I love that they have the drive thru. It makes it so much easier. I highly recommend this location.
