Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 670 S Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ

Moving can be stressful but Life Storage took a lot of the hassle of storing our belongings away. Sandie was incredibly helpful. She is very thorough, professional, and understanding. It seemed like we have known each other for years. We are so happy we decided to use Life Storage. UPDATE: it is now years later and Public Storage is now the owner - today, a different Sandy helped me immensely in getting into my storage unit - the door wouldn’t open because a row of boxes moved against the top of the door keeping it shut except for a small space under the door - Sandy brainstormed and helped me get access into my unit and honestly, I would be still trying to figure it out if she hadn’t come along to help. Thank you Sandy.

Ashley and Christine are absolutely amazing....I enjoyed my visit and Ashley masterfully solved my issues and answered all my question..Christine has been so supportive and understanding during your company switching over.. I was going to move my stuff but these ladies are worth staying...If they leave, I'll leave. 10/2024 I ve been with Public Storage since 2019 and even now , 5 years later, the manager Sandy Arnold was thorough and quick in resolving my small issues. Her attention to detail and professionalism is so amazing . I recommend trying her out to help anyone in need of quick and fair answers to your requests.

I had the most pleasant check in and the lady was very polite and helpful went to unit and loaded my stuff in and couldn't get the lock to work the lady came and fixed everything and was happy to help oh by the way her name was sandy very nice lady and was very helpful.

Wow went in yesterday 10/03/24 and the lady that helped us was so polite and courteous check in was a breeze loaded our unit up and had a little trouble with our lock she was there in no time and fixed everything I was very impressed her name was sandy and would like to say you very much it was very appreciated

Me and my wife have had numerous different storage units at different company locations and out of all of the different companies we have rented from, Public Storage (the Gilbert & Warner location in particular) is a GREAT storage company in so many ways. We are so happy to FINALLY have found a place that suits us and that we are not only very happy with but also feel very safe on the propert at all hours and we don’t have to second guess our unit staying safe as well. I have to also point out one worker that has really stood out to me and my wife and her name would be Joanne. She’s a very hard worker around the property if she’s working the grounds are always tip top shape. But the best part about her is she’s extremely a happy person that’s very helpful and very kind. See big her always puts a smile on my wife’s face. Thank you public storage!

UPDATE: First, I got told by an employee a couple months ago that Public Storage is requiring employees to leave reviews for other facilities to make their reviews look higher than they are. She said it was all sent out through email and that they are being required to do this. I wasn’t sure if this was true, because this is what I got told… But now I don’t know. Second of all, I’m moving out after getting told by numerous tenants that they are jacking the rates up like crazy. I have been here for well over a year and they are trying to charge me $180 a month for 10 x 10. This is higher than what their base online rates are. They are claiming that my unit base rent is $204 a month and they are going to give me a small discount. Their base rent online is $143 a month and I have screenshots of it district manager told me that there isn’t a single unit on the first floor that has a price difference among other units. Thirdly, I’m trying to get my stuff moved out and the old lady that works here comes around. She asked the guy who is next to my unit if I was moving out. That’s none of his business and if you have a question about my rental, you come straight to me. This is actually a violation of customer privacy rights, and a complaint will be filed! He has nothing to do with what is going on with my unit! Then she comes out to me and starts, asking me where my truck is. My unit has about half of the stuff left in it and I have until tomorrow to be out of here. She then says well you have a bunch of stuff left in there so I just wanna make sure it’s going to get done. that’s none of her business. I paid through tomorrow. She doesn’t get to tell me what I’m doing and that I have to have the stuff out early. A complaint will be filed with attorney General for all of this!! Not only are they falsifying base rent charges, but their employees are also breaking privacy policies as well! The fraudulent rates that are being charged and then being treated like crap by your employee after I’ve been a faithful customer and paid my rent on time every month for the last year and a half. I hope other people get to read this and see what is truly going on at this facility. COMPLAINTS ARE GETTING FILED WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL BECAUSE THE TENANTS ARE ONCE AGAIN LOCKED OUT!!! THE DOORS ARE BROKEN ON THE FACILITY ALL 700 TENANTS ARE LOCKED OUT OF THEIR PERSONAL AND BUSINESS BELONGINGS!!! WHERE IS ASHLEY AND HER MANAGER IN THIS?? NOWHERE!!! THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THIS PROPERTY AT ALL!! THEY REFUSE TO RETURN PHONE CALLS!! I HAVE MY BUSINESS PROPERTY HERE AND CANNOT WORK BECAUSE OF THEIR LAZINESS!!!

Katie was very helpful! I rented 2 units online and came into the office. Katie walked me through the process and was thorough with everything. She walked me to the unit just to be sure all was well. Katie deserves a raise.😃🎉💕

Cristine was courteous, helpful, and provided outstanding customer service. In order to answer my inquiry whether one of my large items will fit through the hallway, she took action to use her personal funds to purchase a tape measure. In the end I decided the unit at this location would not work for me, and Cristine went the extra mile to promptly process my cancellation and request for refund. Overall, this has been a positive experience.

I had a wonderful experience checking in with a lady named Cristine (saw reviews saying they aren't staffed, but they were for me in May of 2024 so hope that helps) Cristine was super friendly and welcoming and incredibly nice. She joked with me as she checked me in to help make up for the slow computer and to not feel awkward. She then showed me where my unit was (she locked the office at that time as it was unattended for a few minutes) then went back to her station after I confirmed it looked good. All my questions were answered, the facility is very clean and actually climate controlled and not just stating "it's climate controlled" like I felt the ac. Overall I had a great time.

This store always has the best employees! I've stopped in this location to pay my units I rent with them and Cristine has always been very friendly and helpful. She's very knowledgeable and has solved all my issues I've ever had. Now yesterday I bought my first storage unit at auction and Katie was awesome at helping me through that process. I spoke with Cristine today on an issue with an item that was in the unit I purchased. Once again she was able to solve this problem. These employees are a good testament of why I choose to rent with public storage. Way to go Cristine and Katie. Keep up the great work!

Avoid public storage at all costs. They are no longer staffed. Yes I said this correctly they do not have a human at the location during business hours. So yes no one is watching the facility, you could literally rob the entire building and no one would even be there to call the police. I hope this helps everybody to choose another storage company that actual cares about your belongings. I know I will not be doing business with them going forward.

This place is a great,safe store to keep your belongings either long-term or short-term. I personally have done both. Plus Christine at the front desk help explain my billing and was very polite and professional. Thank you very much for making my move less stressful!

Property has gone down hill since they bought it from Life storage. Almost $300 for 10x15 a month for a place with a broken door going on 3 weeks. Management has an attitude and your rates will continue to rise every few months. I would not suggest renting a storage unit from here.

I loved Life Storage, the facility was clean and the staff was nice! Public Storage took over and it has been a mess. This is where I house my business property. Trash has been sitting for literally days to a week or more at a time, the thicker PS employee that was working last week was sitting on his phone and not cleaning, we were all locked out when they transitioned gate pads but PS didn’t notify anyone. I spoke Ashley (the district manager) the day after we were locked out because I lost money on a business transaction due to not being able to access the facility. She gave me excuse after excuse and literally told me that they didn’t notify any of the 700 tenants because it was the weekend and her boss was on her day off. I’m sorry, 700 tenants are locked out and it’s more important that your boss has her day off??? Ashley and her boss have refused to return phone calls. I’ve called corporate twice on the mess that has been created but they won’t respond. For me it shows how little they care about the new customers they just gained. Once my month is up, I’m vacating. I will only keep my business property in a facility that actually cares and won’t lock its tenants out of the property that they own. Ashley and her boss have shown that they don’t care what has happened. Such a mess!!!

Easy process. Clean facility. Great experience so far

I have had the storage unit for a few years now, and have always been pleased and have had zero issues. Until this last month. The day after my bill was due I received a call that I missed and I called them back and the only thing the guy on the phone said was “your payment was due yesterday. Where is it?“ it had slipped my mind because I had been in a car accident the day before but regardless, absolutely not the issue, and I felt like that was absolutely so rude. Aside from that, a wonderful experience. Attached is my move out photo. The person I called to inform of my move out was super friendly and super nice.

Customer service has been great but be aware, I've only been there a few months and they've raised the price $50 already. Wondering how much more it will go up in the next 6 months.

Love the no contact option when you need a storage unit after hours. Very easy to navigate online registering and clean safe and air conditioned units you can access immediately as soon as your done with your online registry and making your payment then they give you instructions that are very simple to follow on how to access the building and what to do once you pick out your own unit yes you get to pick out your own unit! that is so convenient (especially when we had to rent a second unit at the last minute towards the end of the day during our move when we realized we didn't have enough storage space and could use a second units to make things less stressful the rest of our moving process so picking out a unit next to the first one that we got was so convenient) then you go to your unit and everything else is literally right at your fingertips on your phone they even have a digital map on your phone to navigate through the storage unit. They provide the lock and multiple keys, and always have at least two to four dollies available which conveniently fit nicely on the elevator when going up to a second floor. If I had to give you a dislike the one thing that is frustrating is the lights in the hallway are on a sensor and they turn off fairly quickly so it seems that you spend a lot of time having to constantly step out of your unit and walk down the hall to turn them on (unless you have someone with you, you can just send them down the hall to turn it on LOL) also it would be nice if they had a bathroom inside the building, but to be fair there is a gas station in the parking lot and the hours are very convenient you can go early enough before it gets hot and you can go late enough in the evening when the Sun goes down. I recommend this place to everybody in the communication from the office is amazing and I feel very safe with my things there and I am truly glad that I found a storage company that I feel comfortable at and I have tried several other ones prior to this one. Trust me you won't find one better than Life storage!💙🔐

We reserved our unit online in a matter of minutes and it was ready by the time we got there with our belongings. I don’t think it could get any easier! We also got a follow up call from the facility (a live person) after the reservation to see if we had any questions or issues.

The storage facility is great! It's always very clean and organized. The staff is extremely friendly as well and always happy to assist. The only issue I had was the constant rise in costs. During the three years I stored my belongings there, my monthly rent started at $87 then quickly went up to $163

The Store Manager Andrew LaBoy was extremely professional and courteous. He hands down is the reason I decided to do business with LifeStorage over many other competitors. He addressed my concerns and helped me through the entire process. Beautiful, clean facility.

We have dealt with both Andrew and young guy on the weekend and honestly we are so happy with this location. They are both patient and understanding making sure to assist us with all our questions. Would totally recommend this location. We have a climate controlled unit A361 and outside unit.

The staff at this location of Life-Storage were amazing, extremely professional and very understanding or our situation. Joe was very helpful getting us all set up with our unit. This is a very clean storage place. I really like that the set up, one gate to go in and one to go out. Some parking. I do like that you have to put in your code at gates and to get into the building. Hand carts to help bring your stuff to your unit. Climate control is working great! Only negative is you have to buy their lock, no padlocks. But so far the best storage unit I have ever had!
