This is one of the best storage areas. My friend had her storage here and it’s always clean, different sizes air conditioning cameras. Most importantly the guest service. I met with Debbie, Steven and David. They were very helpful. He m them out!

We rented a climate-controlled unit at Public Storage on 1015 Val Vista in Gilbert and would not recommend it.
The unit stays incredibly hot. We specifically paid for climate control, but the temperature does not feel controlled at all. That is the biggest issue. Another nearby storage facility does a much better job keeping units at a reasonable temperature, so this feels like we’re paying extra for something we aren’t actually getting.
They also raise rates after about 3-4 months, which makes the already disappointing experience even worse.
Customer service here isn’t as nice or helpful as other Public Storage locations we’ve dealt with. Combined with the poor climate control and the price increase, it’s hard to justify staying.
If temperature-sensitive items matter, look elsewhere. Climate control should mean the unit stays comfortably cool, not just that the building has AC in name only.
Also, these 5 star reviews look fake/bought. The user profiles only have a few reviews.

Watch out for this place! All the sudden your bill almost doubles after a few months. Not worth it. Staff not helpful and wouldn’t produce lease paperwork. Says it was mailed that’s it no help. Check Yelp Reviews seems a common bait and switch kinda place.

*No payment has processed on my account and no email is in my inbox regarding the processed payment
Debbie says she's gunna have a district manager call me...Rebecca WHO IS NOT A DISTRICT MANAGER calls me
Tells me the payment is processing and that she cannot physically send me an email of that payment processing...not even open a tab and send an email of the payment processing
Then continues to ignore that her employee indicated that a payment was "processed" and "an email was sent"
Tells me a district manager will call me and threatens me
Debbie is clearly lieing, collusively contributing to a crime, & needs to be fired and held accountable for her actions
The fact that Rebecca claims she can't send an email of the pending processed payment is bogus
Public storage is valued at $48 billion dollars
If you can't send an email confirming the payment is pending while on the phone with me, you shouldnt be working in admin.

Besides the great rate I got on my unit, the only reason I chose to stay here is due to the great customer service! Other places are much easier to access and the big downfall is not having lighting in my unit. I will continue to stay as long as my rate is reasonable, because I know I will not find customer service like this anywhere else.

I had my storage space for over a decade and although I was one of the "set it and forget it" renters who rarely visited my storage; the level of care, service and ease of use made my time woth it. The staff were super friendly and helpful, easy user friendly app interface and access to my unit. Furthermore I really liked the climate controlled warehouse especially for my personal record collection and sensitive paperwork and art supplies. The facilities were always clean and actively being cleaned and monitored each visit. Thank you so much and would highly recommend Public Storage. Keep in mind, it may be a bit higher in price for some but the quality is worth the cost.

Run for the hills! This place is a joke. Ran by AI or some bots. If you are elderly, lacking technical skills and don't have a smart phone, go elsewhere. It's lacking light. You put your stuff into a black hole if you're lucky enough to find your unit or get to it for that matter. They want you to have the app but even though all other apps work, there's doesn't seem to and you sit waiting in the heat for the doors or elevators to work.
I was given a month “free” while signing up. Everything worked properly on the first day. However, upon the second day, I was refused entry through the gates by the app and was told to “pay my bill” for the second month despite it not being due until the first of the following month. I only planned on staying here for a month to begin with. Seems like a bait and switch to get their money back after giving you a “free” month. Not sure if this was an error or not. Other than that the facility is nice and clean and secure.

Today was my first day renting a storage unit with Public Storage online. A friend gave me a lock and key to use from when she previously had a storage unit there so I needed to get a refund for that charge. I also had an issue where I declined the insurance coverage and then was charged a small fee right afterwards. Long story short, I spoke with Debbie and she was GREAT to work with. She went out of her way to help me resolve my issues and make the process go smoothly. Great customer service!

Had this been explained to me I would have never rented from them and giving future customers a warning I didn't receive. Make sure your things are in boxes I found more than one scorpion in my storage unit. Also the staff is rude and unfriendly! If I didn’t have a lot of things already in my unit I’d definitely go somewhere else.
Been rent a unit there for 5-6 months paying 128$ then without warning I get a bill for 173$ due to rent increase. Said I should have received a email which I never did and never received anything in the mail. I will be moving my stuff out of their facility and I will never use or refer anyone to public storage. Employees not visable waited in car outside for 45 min before a person came to help us. Calling office number is no help straight to call center. They were not very interested in helping us and because of the lack of interest in our situation we had to make the 79 mile journey to where we came from to look for a key to open our unit we had forgotten even after we offered to pay the fee charged for them to cut the lock they refused to do so sighting liability concerns due to it being a lock we put on not them. Most difficulty I’ve had with any storage facilities EVER

Don't use if you plan on long term storage. After a few months they raised my rent $100 without an explanation why. When I called to complain I got transferred about 5 times before anyone could help me. They said it was due to supply and demand. Guarantee they don't lower your price back down if supply is there and no demand. The true reason for the prices raising was probably the renovation they're doing and expansion got too expensive. Will not rent from Public Storage again!

We rented a Public Storage that was a litter farther the other storage units. At our location on Val Vista Jessica the on-site manager is simply amazing. She bend over backwards to help us get the size unit we needed. We cannot say enough good things about her and her willingness to help people who store here. In fact a storage facility closer to us and somewhat less money was not an option after the attitude and service by Jessica. Where everyone is scrambling to attract good help nowadays it is refreshing to see people who still care about service.

I didn’t even realize that it was closing time and I walked right into the office, but associate Stephen helped me answer my questions anyways! I really appreciated the help I received. We just got our unit but so far I'm pleased. My only concern is that we have been told they do rate increases...I've had a storage unit in OK at a smaller facility for 4 years and they have never raised my rates.

This place needs to learn communication. They do not notify you when you have been billed or tell you of any thing to deal with billing until you pull up your bank account or been notified from your bank. The manager HEATHER told me when I had called for my deadline to leave before I got locked out that I had until a certain day and after vacating she called to tell me I had high balance due of several hundred and needed to pay even though none of my belongings are on the property. Didn’t even bother to care or help all she told me was “It doesn’t matter as long as I made note I called I don’t care what you do!” && Thats Your Public Storage Manager!!!!!!

We've been using Public Storage for almost 2 years. Everything has been good, except they raised our rates out of the blue. I went in to ask about it, and Lynn (in from PS store #08481) helped me out; she stopped any rate changes for the next 6 months. (Without Lynn's help this would be a 1 or 2 star review).
Had a 2nd payment taken out my account without permission. When contacted corporate was told I would have a 5pm deadline or my unit lock would be cut if not vacated?? Who made up these rules, not how storage facilities work. If I'm paid till a certain day, I'm paid to the end of that day. Not 5 or whenever he decides he wants. Vacating unit ASAP, Beware of these practices.......

Rented a 12x50’ spot for a trailer in 2019 for $150/mo by January 2022 they wanted over $300/mo for same spot. Every six months they raise your rent $30-$50 and don’t care about customer retention. Which probably explains their employee turnover. Find somewhere else!
