I would put 0 stars if I could. Moved in June 22 with my own lock. I moved out on July 9, followed the move out instructions, left the door open and took my lock, but left the one they tried to sell me in the same place I found it. In the unit to the right. I scheduled my move out on July 10 just be sure it was all empty. When I went up there during the day to double check, the “public storage” lock was on my unit. I assumed it was done by the public storage employee. So I went down stairs to speak with the rep. around noon. No one answered the door or the phone call to the direct number. A few days later I receive a third bill for another charge after only being in the unit for 19 days and have already moved out, an additional $150. Now I’m annoyed because I’ve spent 225 on two weeks of storage. Tried calling 5 times on Saturday to confirm move out with no answer. Monday I finally get someone and the same rep I’ve been working with tells me my unit isn’t empty and that I haven’t moved out yet. Preceded to tell me that they haven’t put a lock on anything and they aren’t allowed to lock the unit 🤨and I’m technically still renting from them. If you don’t lock the unnoticed how do you keep people from using units without paying, but w/e. Now he won’t accept my my move out and I am being charged after following the instructions. Taking my lock. Leaving it open and if someone comes behind me decides to use it, I have to pay for it and it’s my responsibility? Why would you have a move out policy so susceptible to theft?! Anyone could’ve seen an open unit with the lock and decided to use it. I feel like just looking at the cameras could’ve fixed the whole situation to see I didn’t lock anything and that I have moved out. Instead I have to fill out form for them to break their own lock on the 21st and agree that it’s my stuff in the locker. After I’ve explained several times that I have MOVED OUT! If I don’t sign the form stating it’s my stuff they won’t break the lock to technically move me out. This is such a dumb process it’s basically a scam. Because now it shows in their system I’ve been there a month and I only rented for 19 days and was supposed to get a refund. It’s SCAM written all over it.

I have to say Sally at 7950 Ohio Drive Plano is GREAT!!!! Very professional and great , warm personality!!! Sally is more than top notch when it comes to keeping f the facility clean and welcoming. Public Storage should have more employees like Sally.

Hours are too short and public storage is a bad company but this facility is nice and is well managed

Highly recommend this location for your storage needs. I’ve had experiences with a few competing facilities in the Plano area and this one is the best experience by far. It is always well maintained, clean, and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. Shout out to Adam who helped me get started here and has always been a pleasure!

Adam does a great job at this location. He often goes above and beyond for renters. I initially rented a 10 x 10 unit and recently downsized to a smaller unit - Adam went through all the different scenarios with me to find the most cost effective option and showed me a few options so I had exactly what I needed. After helping us he rushed off to help an 85 year old lady load her piano all by himself! Would gladly rent here again in the future.

Adam is an amazing person!. He really has gone above and beyond to help us settle in and get acclimated with our storage units. Felt like he is an owner of the facility. Only an owner would take care of a facility like that. Place is always clean! I would highly recommend using this Public Storage over other facilities👍👍

Fair price and safe storage units

As a business owner and a primary caregiver for aging parents, I’ve had plenty of experience dealing with storage facilities. Oftentimes it’s not all that great. This Public Storage, however was by far my best experience. I rented a unit online but then realized after the fact, I actually needed a larger unit. Frantically, I pulled in (right at closing 🥹) and was still warmly greeted by Kyle whom I’d spoken to by phone. We ran into some issues trying to get things switched over because of how I booked it. What I appreciate most, Kyle was patient (and I was kind 🤓) and when he was unsure of the best solution, he phoned a friend— his colleague. Adam was out sick, yet he still took the time to walk Kyle and myself through the best process to quickly resolve the issue I was experiencing before my truck arrived. While I wouldn’t ever expect anyone to help me solve an issue while they’re under the weather, I do appreciate the kindness and willingness to help. Thank you Kyle and Adam. I will always choose this facility 1st because of you.

AVOID THIS PLACE! The month after I rented, the unit went up $20. They also have a 16.00 mandatory insurance fee (tho u don't receive any policy stating your belongings are insured) NO ONE IS EVER IN THE OFFICE!!! NO trashcans onsite... not one. When ur late w payment they take the lock insert out and put locks on. When u pay ur unit current. They don't put the lock insert back in and remove their locks... they left my unit unsecure and open, left me a msg saying to go secure my unit. Except I was out of the country. I've never had a storage place do that or go into a unit. Most will put their own lock on it till paid. Then remove it & only enter a unit once it's up for auction. I've yet to find the gun I had stored in my unit so that could be a problem since they left my unit unsecured. I've had a unit at UHAUL for 5 yrs w no issues & ppl are on-site. UHAUL has actual customer service & Does not enter ur units or leave them open& unsecured AND U GET A BIGGER UNIT FOR LESS MONEY. BUYER BEWARE OF PUBLIC STORAGE ON OHIO!!!

I made a reservation/booking by calling customer service and the lady over the phone intentionally put my moving date on the day I made a reservation. But, I clearly told so many times in a call that my moving date should be Nov 22nd but she put wrong date. Later, I went to in person at storage and called so many times on this issue resolution but, no body helped.

Very very bad customer service. Nobody will be in office in their business hours. They might be sleeping at back door. I visited this place 3 times in different days but it’s closed all times in business hours. Don’t go to this place.

Don’t waste your time here to get storage ! Worst customer service ever! Almost 3 days I try to get help but no one help me ! Just keep transfer you different phone call! I was I location to get help but nobody there ! Almost one hour there and I saw at least 5 customers came and back because nobody there and the phone over the door even not answer too!

I called the office to make sure they are open till 6 PM, they said yes, we are open till 6 PM, but when I got there at 5:30 PM the office was already closed.

The only true reason I can give 5 stars to Public Storage is because of the AMAZING customer service, detail and just beautiful, warm spirit I receive whenever I see Starla. For the past year, she is the ONLY person I’ve ever seen at the Ohio Drive location. No matter how rude people act towards her, she keeps a smile, stays professional and polite, and upholds the company policy. I really do appreciate her in every way.

I can’t even describe how rude the property manager was to me, I made a reservation in the morning and drove by the same day at 1:30pm they were already closed for the day! I went back the next day she did not even let me in the office. Shetold me she had no time and closed the door in my face before I even had the chance to say anything. Absolutely unprofessional! There is no reason to treat people that way. I went across the street to Ac Self Storage, where they treated me just right! The process was so easy and the price is a lot cheaper!

Starla the property manager the property manager is awesome! We had a pipe break and had to move things to a storage unit immediately. She went far and beyond the call of duty accommodating our last minute requests. Starla was so was so helpful.

So…I had upset with the unit on Tennyson, ended up having to visit this location where Temika helped me out. As I think about it, should of changed reservation for here vs the other location that was soooo dirty. Thanks for staying over to help with the headache at the other location!!!

The local office management provides exceptional customer service. They helped us out a lot to move in and did everything they could to make sure we were happy with our unit.

I was faced with a last minute move and needed a place to store some of my belongings. The process was super simple and Starla made sure to introduce herself and provide me answers to any questions I had. I was pleased with the efficiency and accessibility while entering the facility to access my items. I felt like it was well protected. Check out was super simple as well. Starla has been amazing through this whole process. She was super sweet and was able to accommodate my needs! I am very appreciative of the wonderful service I received with my experience! 😃

Great location , friendly manager clean units

I've been very pleased with my storage experience at this location so far. It's very clean and generally easy to access. Also, Starla is seriously one of the friendliest, most helpful people I've ever come across in customer service. Every time I've had an issue or question, she has always been eager to assist and has figured out how to make it right. I really appreciate her and and feel very comfortable storing my belongings there with her on site. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone I know, and would use it again myself in a heartbeat.
