Norma did an amazing job helping me with my unit and move in process, so helpful and kind with great customer service, she deserves a promotion and raise, thank you Norma!
What I will start with is that the employees are very nice, and the exterior of the property is very well kept.
What I do have a problem with is the fact that I paid this location to store belongings for over a year only to have every single item in there destroyed by rodents. All I could do was load it on the truck and drive it straight to the dump. Because, while nothing can get under the door, nothing stops some slob kabob from moving into the neighboring unit with roach or rodent problems, and having their problem instantly become your problem. Because there is a gap that leaves their space open to yours. It's completely disgusting. Also, read their insurance policies carefully. Storage units typically place serious limitations on their infestations.
One last item to note, none of those nice or helpful employees ever returned any of my phone calls about the rodent infestation in the unit. What I should have done was stopped paying on it and just left it there for them to deal with.
Norma was great and attentive to my needs, moving can be full of stress and to have great support in selecting a unit that met my needs was absolutely wonderful.
My apartment lease was ending and it was taking time for said owners to get back to me, so I had to prepare a fallback plan in-case I didn't hear back in time. I decided to rent a Public Storage unit. Though I wasn't expecting much, I had a good experience conversing with the property manager, making sure I clearly understood the terms, checking the unit, appreciating the clean grounds, and so on. For better or for worse, I didn't end up using the unit since the original situation was cleared up at the last moment. Either way though, I had a good experience considering my circumstances.
Thank you for your help Norma, and I'll be sure to check back again the next time I or a friend is in need of a place for our things.
Moved in a 10 x 20 April 2024. It’s October 2nd 2024 in a short time using there storage
They have raised my rent over $70. Over $300 a month. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.

Moving out because they keep raising prices every few months. There were rat markings and chewed through boxes. A DEAD ONE IN OUR STORAGE! Thank goodness we’re leaving now. Be careful with what you’re storing and where you’re storing.

It’s very refreshing to go somewhere after a long day at work and meet with someone who is positive and friendly. Today I went to get a Storage at this location and Norma was all that and more she made me laugh if I am ever having a bad day I think I will go see Norma just so I can smile!! Sorry to disappoint members of the Norma Fan Club but the honeymoon will end. I started moving out after 14 months due to rent increases totalling over $100/month. As I opened the door to my unit today I immediately noticed rat damage to my fabric items. On top of that, the exit gate keypad is broken requiring getting out of the car and walking to the entrance keypad to enter the code. The gate closes so quickly that I could not do this alone. Luckily I had a second person with me to enter the code so that I could drive through the gate. Rent increases, rat damage and broken keypad: not worth $220/month.
I would like to see Public Storage quit acknowledging positive reviews from new renters who are mesmerized by an employee who is marching to corporate orders. Instead, fix the problems with the facility and curb the corporate greed.

Absolutely love this public storage location. Norma is one of the best managers and always goes above and beyond to fix any of my issues. It's OK. But if you have a vehicle that your restoring, this is not the place to store it as per their vehicle policy. I suggest glaciers west in spanaway..

I’ve had units here for 5 years, the amount of dead rats is astounding. I came to them years ago with the problem, they said they would give me 3 days to move to new unit or charge me for that one too and did nothing else. All of my childhood items were ruined and covered in unsafe rat pee and poop. There were 4 dead rat carcasses in my unit. When I asked about making a claim with the insurance I got a run around for hours. The app doesn’t help, and neither do the people who work there, and that’s not their fault, it’s the public storage overlords. Don’t rent here.

Whenever I've needed extra storage space, I always choose Public Storage. For the past 2 years I've been a customer at this location & received outstanding customer service. Raya is AMAZING! She is friendly, professional & promptly responds within less than 24 hours (usually the same day). The property is conveniently located, clean & secure. Twice I've forgotten to lock my unit, and thankfully Raya temporarily secured it for me until I could do so myself. If you need storage space, I highly recommend this property.

The process of moving is a stressful and tedious ordeal on its own. But if you are blessed enough to have meet a customer service agent, such as Norma, from the SE 244th Kent branch; it took a great deal of the tension out of the process.
Also, she takes great pride of keeping her location clean, and was professional regarding returning phone calls.
To have someone listen to you and who is very knowledgeable of the Public Storage policy and is willing to help get the best deal per your needs, you feel like someone is on your side and not just seeing what they can get away with. Plus, Her respectfulness and sense of levity, also allowed me to take my mind off of why I was moving in the first place … perfect timing.

There’s a few things to be careful of when you rent a unit here! They do not have any “dolly carts” to use, so you have to carry each single item one at a time to your unit. Just say you reserve a unit for the “30th” & you go pay on the 20th in advanced, they will sneakily charge you a prorate fee from the 20th-30th without explaining that your move in day starts when you 1st pay regardless of what date you asked for! So basically you will have a prorate bill due on the 1st & the money you put down will go towards your 1st month. Also, vacating a unit early does not mean you will receive any money back. They tend to go up $15-$25 every few months! There’s barely anyone in the office or that answers the phone. They have horrible customer service & they’re privately owned! Good luck here!!
