Wow - what a great place. I found/rented a 10x10 unit "on-line" (size and value - slightly lower costs than other nearby storage locations/chains), but what "sold me" was the management and facility. WOW!
The most friendly and helpful management (Samina) and the cleanest, most effectively managed Public Storage franchise ever. I was immediately impressed when I arrived by how neat and clean the entire facility was maintained. The manager is Samina, and she is an exceptional "customer service / take care of you and the business" person. She knows every unit of "her" public storage franchise (and as I learned later, she also knows her customers).
When she took me to my unit, she noted the roller-door was slightly ajar (needed maintenance). I thought it was fine, but she found me a nearby available unit with a "perfect roller-door" and asked if it would be OK to reassign me to that one (her concern was for me to be happy with the unit). She also sent a message to the maintenance team to check the other unit/adjust the door before it will be rented.
On subsequent visits (loading items into my storage unit), Samina was helpful (making sure I found the carts, etc.) and recognized me remembering which unit I rented from memory (not needing to look-up my account).
Samina's outstanding management and care about me “the customer” coupled with the cleanliness and value has convinced me the Alban Road Public Storage franchise is "best in class." RECOMMENDED!!!

Nice place to store.
This place is ridiculous. Their hours are from 6am to 9pm. People work and in NoVA, people typically get off work between 4-5pm. That means they will be in traffic for at least an hour going anywhere around here. That leaves them 2-3 hours to access their storage unit. What’s worse is the property manager is never there and has no ability to even open the gate if something happens after hours. What is the point of that position?? I have the app with two profiles and the gate open feature stopped working and no one knows why. Absolutely pathetic.
I started making the reservation online. I wanted to see the facility in person and the Manager, Samina was able to meet with me and showed me the place right away. She was very friendly and helpful with everything I needed. Aside from great customer service, the facility is in a great location, has an elevator, well maintained.
Samina is the best , I was so confused at the moment to rent a space and she help me and answered all my doubts , as a costumer appreciate her patience and kindness so much.

My experience with Public Storage has been a giant waste of time. No adequate parking spaces to store my camper in the entire DMV area. When I finally found one in Springfield, VA my reservation had been given to someone else when I arrived. Ended up using Extra Space Storage, I would recommend you try them for storing vehicles/campers in the DMV.

This is a great storage location and Samina does a great job as the property manager. I stored a 28' travel trailer here for several months. The space was flat concrete with easy access to all sides of the trailer. Getting the trailer in and out was snug, but doable for me as a new RV driver. Backing it into the spot was simple enough too. This Public Storage is secure and the gate access via the app worked well. I felt safe on the property. Samina was very responsive to any questions I had and was very helpful with check-in, check-out, and account updates.

I chose to use this property for it's safety and for the exceptional customer service provided by the property manager Samina. There are two other facilities that are closer to me and this wasn't the least expensive location but because we had such great experiences here in the past, we are now continuing customers and I highly recommend this location to anyone seeking long or short-term storage.

Great storage location. Easy in and out for us so we go there often. We use it for seasonal items, Christmas, Halloween, summer sports and winter sports. As far as fees…they will raise your price after a couple months of a teaser internet rate, they will charge you for insurance that you don’t need, they will nickel and dime you. Just keep track of your bill and call them out on anything that looks funny. Our home owners insurance provides storage unit coverage as part of our policy, so we canceled the extra $15 a month insurance right away. Keep them honest, and you’ll be fine!
