My experience with the Public Storage on Old Meadow has been very bad. There is no one sitting at the desk anymore to help with account issues. When I call the posted number, it goes to property manager who does not return my calls. Next I will try to put a post-it note on the door for someone to call me. Recommend using another storage facility.
Do NOT rent here since there's no one to reach at the rental office nor even by phone. My unit wasn't move-in ready since it was trashed (with a bunch of bugs and debris) and there was no key lock provided. I also saw another customer on-site experiencing similar issues and couldn't reach the property/district manager by phone with the customer service number so don't even bother trying too. Instead, reach out via the online chat on their website.
Horrible attention here, 10 times I have arrived and the office is closed, I called customer service and they say that the manager does not answer, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THEY ARE GOING TO LOSE THEIR TIME
I worked with Alonzo in getting a unit setup. He worked quickly and even tried to get me a better price through online registration. Took me on a tour and set everything up within 10 mins. The facility was clean and had multiple entrances making it easier to not get bunched up at the same door/elevator. It also had a loading doc for movers and carts to use.
I have been experiencing a financial medical family emergency over the last 6 weeks. I want to express my sincere gratitude and thankfulness to property Mgrs. Rashid and Sal. They have both been very caring and understanding regarding my financial situation. They both have gone above and beyond to keep me updated on all the fees I have accumulated and the dates they are due. They treated me with great compassion which is rare in the world we live in today. A 5Star salute!!! To Rashid and Sal

I’ve been looking at a few different places for storage. by far Rosa has been most helpful. She gave a me a tour of the whole facility, broke down what each building was for and the common rules. The places has lots of parking, a convenient loading dock and, the property in general is really well kept. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was that there is no dumping. Still I think we’ll be storing here. and i’ll be recommending to friends and family! Thank you so much Rosa!!
I had a situation where a storage unit appeared under my profile out of nowhere and with Rosa’s help and great knowledge of the company she was able to assist with the problem.
Recently it was burglarized and the cameras were magically not working. The locks were inadequate as well.

First time as a customer with Public Storage. Rosa, the property manager, was fantastic from the time she first introduced us to the unit options through to making a decision and finally to moving in. She explained everything in great detail. She’s the best. The place is extremely clean and airy. Plenty of parking. Spacious aisles, multiple entrances and a great loading doc. It has been a great start at Public Storage with Rosa.

Called and setup an appointment to be shown two different units. Drove to location within hour of call and no one was there, no sign, note or anything. Called headquarters 3 times, first 2 times was told just to wait that there was nothing they can do. Last call was finally given phone number to onsite manager, called several times and just kept getting voicemail

So sad. Seems like they're only nice to you when you're paying them. I was in the process of moving out of my unit, hadn't even let them know I was moving out as I wasn't finished cleaning everything up. I had a trash bag, couple of growlers, and a folded up inflatable couch left inside the unit that I was planning on taking after work on the last day of the month.
I got a voice mail from Rashid, seemed to be furious telling me he will not process my move out as I left his whole unit filthy. Didn't even let me call him back before he started accusing me and yelling me at the phone. This is in poor taste and I will be letting corporate and the BBB know.
As for anyone reading this review, don't store here, it's overpriced, and unclean to begin with. My spot was already dirty to begin with when I first got there. It's full of insects, spiders, and roaches. Everyone is forced to write a 5 star review on the spot when they first sign up for their space. It's a scam.

I wanted to see the property and a few units in person before I rented online. He took me for comprehensive tour and answered every question I had. I had high expectations of public storage
Pretty standard facility with indoor and outdoor storage options. Staff is friendly and helpful when needed. Prices are about standard with other local storage facilities and increase from time to time. Inside is clean with no pests. Overall no complaints.

Can't get needed repairs! Lights in hallway haven't worked properly (sensors turn on) for six months. Manager can't get fixed. District Manager can't get fixed. Call center can't get fixed. Rental prices are very high, but apparently no one's in charge or no one cares because they are a popular location. Maybe this review will motivate someone at Public Storage to correct!!!

Going downhill! Company is getting greedy and inattentive to customers. Billing issue on move in that that no one could or would explain (including the corporate 800 number). Used to have four "carts" at the loading dock to move stuff. Now we have only two and they won't replace the broken ones. Office now defaults to excuses rather than solving customer problems.

I needed to downsize my storage unit and therefore move all my stuff from one unit to another at this site, and it could not have run more smoothly! Rashid was great- he was very patient and professional (he answered all my questions about how to best time moving out of my unit into the new one, and I had plenty of questions). Overall, it was a good experience and the rental unit is clean and a reasonable price.
My husband rented a unit here before we moved and we didn’t regret the decision. The site was clean, prices were the best in the area, and the associate Taylor was extremely helpful. She made the process as smooth as possible and was friendly, we will definitely be renting again soon.

Given prior storage service experiences, I had low expectations upon arrival. Rashid is the reason I chose to leverage the Public Storage McLean facility over the surrounding competition, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. He takes his role seriously, goes out of his way to explore all options, and has consistently prioritized the customer experience above all else. The feeling is equivalent to walking into an Apple store, or Chik Fil A. He proactively took the time to tour the premises and built confidence in my decision. Give Rashid a raise or two.
