Do not rent from this location, I miss one payment and the property manager stole all my belonging within two weeks of the missed payment. They listed my storage vacant even tho all my boxes where stacked inside, before they even contacted me, they ignored my email and voicemail and took everything. They are a bunch of crooks here. And now I'm seeking legal action

Representative Mr Roy was extremely helpful and patient with me and my reservation. Technical difficulties via the website would not allow me to finish the reservation, but Roy came through and helped me finish it. This is the 2nd time I've had the pleasure of working with him for an offsite unit at 3101 Bromay Ave unrelated to Western Branch Rd storage facility where he works, perhaps due to his expertise. Thank you sir for waiting for me and assisting even after 6 pm closing time office hours.

Very pleased with the price of the 10×10 Unit that I rented on Western Branch Blvd in Ches. Va, and just as Importantly, the kindness, helpfulness, and professionalism of the Gentleman I spoke with on Sunday 07/14/24. As WE ALL KNOW, moving SUCKS, whether to a new residence or into Storage, and to add to it There was a tad bit of confusion on My part, but He was so very patient and took the time to explain everything to Me, which definitely helped make it a less daunting task. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! THANK YOU!

RATS!!!
We have been to this storage units over the past years. This time has been horrible. We have rats inside our unit. Rate poop all over stuff, holes in items in storage.
We called and told the manager last week about it. He basically said there's nothing they can do. Recommended putting a pool noodle down, because corporate would not repair the doors where rodents and bugs can get in. We went this weekend to pull everything out to put them in storage cubes . The rats were climbing over the walls inside of the units going from unit to unit.
These storage units are not cheap by far. You would expect them to be in better condition, then what they are. I would definitely suggest you keep the insurance cause you're probably going to be filing it from rats eating away at your stuff.
Definitely will be leaving ASAP. Would not recommend coming here.

They have rats!!! I lost over $3000 dollars worth of items from rodent damage here, and the insurance will only give $250 max for the damaged items!! The workers act so clueless, but they know about their infestation problem!! Please save yourself the trouble and get a climate controlled unit else where!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Came here to store my things while in the process of buying a home. Mr. Roy and Linda were so helpful and kind. They got me all squared away and ready for move in without a hitch. Very please with their service.
Unparalleled service in an unexpected place: Roy, the facility manager, actually made a move from Ohio to Norfolk over the holidays less stressful. (Read that sentence again to fully understand just what Roy accomplished)
He was extremely thorough in making sure I had everything I needed, and not only did he answer my questions, he anticipated them. All in all, check-in was a breeze. I'd give more stars if it were possible!

Please shop around for the best deals and if this is the location you want to use because what they fail to tell you doing your renting process that you will not get a refund or portion of your money back and you also lose the storage unit if they tell us we are required to have insurance I think we should be aware of that also because people don't have money to just give away.If I could give a zero I would I did do a,review once before this is an update ...I never put a lock on it /boxes inside zip nothing got it one day canceled it the next day and Nothing never came up about no refund in a couple days if you have not received your refund call the store I feel like I was played. I am referring to the gum road office.
I just left the storage location on Western Branch Blvd in Chesapeake, Va. Roy, the manager, was very helpful, polite and professional. He even helped me make a better choice for a unit than I planned. I ended up saving money and have a more conveinient unit.
