This place is an absolute joke my unit wasn't even inside the security gate and also they had sooo many mice that chewed up all my stuff and the staff are crackheads to say the least and were very rude!!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE UNIT or any "public storage" there are way better storage units to go through!!!! Trust me!!!

The current manager, chris, keeps the place nice and tidy. There’s been some decent rain since I started storing here, and the drainage seems good, moisture stays out of the units. No complaints so far.

Awesome friendly staff
If I could give zero stars I would! Be aware!!! These guys entice you in with a better rate than their competitors. AND then, when you are all moved in, make your timely payments for 6 months they raise your rent 38% just because they can (it’s in their fine print)! Needless to say and lesson learned. Rent with a more ethical company who will lock in your rate. I moved out of mine 10X20 and in with a other storage facility out of principle, even though I’m now saving $8 a month over Public Storage, I would rather give a company who doesn’t play games who lures people in, and then raises their rates. Storage units businesses have the least amount of overhead! Public storage is a billion dollar company! They don’t need to raise rents the way they do. Buyer beware!!!!!

If you are looking for the worst experience possible, this is the place. Come and rent a unit here. The guy they works here is never here, impossible to get ahold of. The manager, probably even worse. It took 3 months to get a unit canceled, then due the manger never being available and the only one that can cut a lock off your unit, they will milk you month to month. Due to them not being available to cut a lock, they promised that they were clear a (1month ) balance for me that went into next month by a couple of days. They didn’t do that, never followed up or through with the promise. Instead they sent me to collections. Nobody to talk to, they are never at the office to speak with. I realize that this is huge rant, but I am upset that I was sent to collections due to their incompetency. I would not recommend anyone to do any business here. They are super friendly when signing you up, and that is where it stops.

This is a terrible company. When I initially rented the storage unit, they touted that there were no contracts. They just raised the price based on demand. About 2 months after I got a rate increase of about $15 and then another 2 months later another $15 and it kept going up every couple months. Out of curiosity, I called in anonymously and asked if I could rent the same size space and they quoted me the original price that I started with. I complained and they lowered it for a couple months and then it just went right back up. Then after it went from $130 up to $168 a month, I went in on April 1st moved out my 5 Lifetime tables and canceled my account. But a month later I got a bill for the month of April that was already sent to collections. They claim that I used the storage unit April 1st so they need to charge me for the entire month. I would find another storage company to store your stuff at.
Christopher at herriman public storage is amazing. we had a unique situation that needed a lot of Last minute needs due to our misjudgment of what size of unit we needed, He was quick and efficient and very accommodating and especially friendly. For the kind of situation we are in. He made my comfortable stressful moment seem allot More at ease.
Even when he realized we Head overpaid, he called me back to let me know our account would be credited for anything overcharged. Not many people go out of their way the way he did To make sure we were treated fair. I would absolutely refer him and his location to anyone I know.

Am just going to talk about Chris because as someone working on the customer service industry I know when someone cares.
So my review goes for him but not the company because I just got my unit in April and they decided to randomly increase my price with no justification and after Chris was able to get it back to how it was (and should have never changed) public storage has the audacity to send me a message saying “great news ! We have delayed your increase” . Dear public storage . A 20 dollars increase is not an adjustment and no notice or valid reason should never be an option. Thanks Chris for the amazing service and no thanks to public storage for being dishonest and greedy :)

Christopher was very helpful last few days. I lost my key and he made it very easy to put in a request to have the lock cut and get a new lock installed and even kept me up to speed on timing for it all.

Tammy and Merrily were great help today at the storage unit in Riverton. I work for a moving company and they were great help getting a customer moved in. At Some storage complexes, it's impossible to get help at the office or no one is home, costing customers valuable time and money. I just became a Public Storage customer here in Herriman and couldn’t be more pleased with how easy the process was. My mother recently died and I needed a place to store her stuff until I can sort through it all. I went online, filled out the information, paid the money, went to the facility and opened up the unit, and there was the lock ready to use. The space was so clean! Thank you Public Storage in Herriman for making it so easy in this stressful time of my life.

Great location. Nice clean, rodent-free units. Glitchy app. Very poor pricing model. Low introductory pricing, then they quickly increase your rates by $99 or more soon after you move in. Bait and switch.

ETA: As far as the unit goes, they're clean and nice but the latch has gotten stuck MULTIPLE TIMES. I thought maybe they were sticky because of winter but it's summer and this thing is locked shut still. I use my locker to also store items for my shop and need reliable access to it. You'd think for the price and rent increase these things would at least be accessible but clearly that is not the priority at public storage.
I have contacted them about this before, during office hours, but received no answer.
edit 3/29/2023: They're hiking up the rent again, so, I'm out. At least when I went to get my stuff I apparently wasn't the only one, lol.
I have been renting storage in this location for almost 4 years, after this company bought these storages I have had many problems accessing the place days after the snowfall, there have been occasions in which I have not been able to enter the storage to look for my tools since I work with them every day, I have lost money and days of work since they do not clean the snow, I made a call to this company placing a complaint and they tell me that they are not responsible for cleaning the snow after the storm, it seems like a Lack of respect for customers, rates increased by more than 30% and service quality dropped 100%. The people who work there are very rude and never have the knowledge to respond to this type of inconvenience. Whenever I have the opportunity, I'll change places
My husband filled out on-line for a 10x25 at a good rate. When he went in to the office, he was told a 10x25 did not exist at that site.
He was offered a 10x30 and the corporate office could transfer the $231.00 paid on line to the new unit. At the last second corporate said there was a hole in door and could not be rented.
He had to change units (no fault of his) and did not do it on-line so he did not receive a special rate AND had to pay $301.00 for a 10x20.
Due to time constraints with the 26' truck rental and a smaller box truck, we had to get the storage unit.
He was informed it could take up to 5 days to get the $231.00 back.
He went in the next day and was told they did have a 10x25 but there was no way we were going to move all the stuff we moved in and the stuff that would not fit due to the size we were given.
I went the next day to organize and could not get the lock open or lock it.
I feel that corporate should have affixed their employee a 10x25 was available and have given us th he special rate. We did get back the money 2 days later.
I am not too thrilled with this storage unit compared to o th ers we have used. While we were trying to save money, it ended up costing more for less. Be aware!

Sandy the manager helped me out to move-in and move-out without any hassle. The whole process was smooth at public storage herriman. I would recommend this location for any storage and really great price offered for first month storage.
Safe and secure facility, however a little too safe and secure. Even I can’t get in. There have been a handful of occasions that I haven’t even been able to access the unit. Today was one of those. The last time this happened my stuff had to stay loaded in the back of my truck and it rained that night. Probably need to call and make sure I can get in next time I plan a load to the unit I guess. The phone app is a cool idea but the wireless hardly ever works. Also pretty expensive compared to other places. Not very pleased and inconvenienced.

I moved out of my storage unit on the 2nd day of the month because I wasn’t able to do it any earlier, but they said they don’t prorate at the end of the rental so I had to pay for an entire month. Then they turned around and rented it to someone else, so they essentially got paid twice for the same unit! So unfair.

Was happy, now I'm not.
I've been storing my stuff here for about a year. It is not the nicest or cleanest facility but the monthly rate and location made it worth it. However, ever since Public Storage acquired the property in 2021 I've been less satisfied. They INCREASED the monthly rate by almost $100 a month for some units and DIDN'T adequately communicate it to tenants. When I called to ask why my rent jumped up they said "property values in Herriman are up so our rent is up. Storage rental rates are actually higher here then most other locations around the valley."
I'd look for a different facility for sure if I wasn't 2 months away from moving out anyway. The way the price increases and rapid evictions have been happening (look at Storage Treasure .com at all the unit auctions from this facility) it almost feels like Public Storage wants to vacate this property so they can sell it to a developer.
Cascade Storage up the road was way better in my interactions with them, go there instead!
