San Antonio Climate Controlled Storage Units North of Loop 1604
Self storage in northern San Antonio is located on Highway 281 between Redland Road and Encino Rio, just north of Loop 1604. Both climate controlled storage units indoors and outdoor units with drive-up access are available at this modern facility.
Martin Marietta's San Pedro Quarry is just across the highway. A 5x10 storage unit here is convenient for quarry employees or families in the Encino Park neighborhood to store all their athletic gear.

Gabby is super exceptional 10 stars if I can always caring about their customers
The rental was easy; mostly completed through the website. I did have to call customer service to switch the storage size to a larger size. A couple of hours later a confirmation was sent with the storage number and lock. Clear instructions were sent too along with the gate code. The move out was even easier. Just empty the storage and they take care of the rest. Very clean place and friendly customer service.

I have been renting here for about a year. Sophia has been so helpful and friendly in helping me when I need it and so quick to call me back. The space itself is very clean, easy to access, and I love that it’s climate controlled especially in this Texas heat.

Climate controlled, sure. It’s not very cool though and you definitely couldn’t store wine here like their website suggests - not that I know anyone that would - but I thought it was funny their site said you can. About a solid 80 degrees in there. This giant 3 story building only has two carts to help you move around boxes. Two carts. In this massive place. What a joke. It’s clean at least.

No security what so ever no one around to answer any questions..no working cameras found out talking to people their unit has been broken in to..
App isn’t working for their Bluetooth features and not a single moving dolly on any of the three floors - this is the first storage unit I’ve ever worked with where you apparently have to provide your own.

I was seeking a storage unit but it's hard to get a hold of someone. Every time I call I get a recording. I even communicated a time I would stop by and no one was in the office even though they were suppose to be open. Apparently there is one person covering multiple properties.
Don’t recommend this place it seems like all they do is increase rates. For some reason they are hard to get a hold of, you have to schedule an “appointment” to talk to someone from the office. Also, my storage got broken into, had to file a police report. Take your money somewhere else

Got a letter in the mail saying our unit was going to increase $61 dollars which would put us to $223. Which was a big increase for a storage unit in our eyes. Called customer service and they said they could not help. It was like throwing up the finger to me. Requested to speak to the Property Manager and the District Manager was the one that helped us. She did not come down a lot but, was at least willing to meet half way without questions. Me and my wife appreciated that. Thank You Holly.
We JUST got the units not too long ago and it seems every few months they are charging completely different amounts. November to December and December to January were completely different amounts for both of my units; not to mention I haven't had the units 1 single annual term and the rates have increased twice in about 8 months. Absolutely absurd. I also had problems with seeing anybody about this in person or by phone, as I have read many others have had the same issue. Avoid at all costs!!
Place has gone downhill. Price increases yearly and we can never find a moving cart, they have maybe two in the entire facility.
No one ever in the office to help.

I reserved a space. I spoke with the proper manager and told him I could meet him between 2-4. He said he would be available. I went there at 3. He was showing units and did not answer his phone.
So we connected several hours later. I thought. I will reschedule for when he returns. He suggested 9:30 Tuesday. I arrived at 9:25 and the office was closed. I called again. No answer. I waited twenty minutes and then thirty minutes.
No one came.
I went to Lock Away Storage and had all the paperwork and storage unit with lock in 30 minutes. Public Storage is not worth your time!
Facility is clean & easy enough to use, but be prepared for your rates to increase quickly after you get your stuff in! Started at $74/mo, went to $104, then $130- all within a year! Just moved out!!!

The storage unit itself is okay but... there were multiple times were i couldnt get inside the building with my code, and the property management is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of.

Run away from this facility. Rates listed on the website are false advertising since they bump them up so quickly after moving in. My unit is advertised as $180/ month on the website but I just received notification they are increasing rates to $390. We have had our unit 15 months and this is the second massive increase. Of course they wait until you move your belongings in and move away so we are stuck paying an arm and a leg.

For the price you'll pay renting a storage locker, they should include plumbing and electricity. They are charging you the same price to rent a studio apartment.

The transition was smooth and easy.
First of all, rent here if you don't mind your rates tripling, my rates more than tripled from one month to the next. Tried communicating with the onsite management with no success, then email with no success. It wasn't until I left a bad review that I got a call from the district manager and my rates were lowered with a request to change my review. The rates were lowered only temporarily and then right back up to tripled again, left another bad review and the process repeated. I asked why the rates couldn't be locked in at a more reasonable increase, but apparently that can't be done. It's a nice facility but they never have more than one cart available and no trash receptacle available.
Tiesha was a pleasure to work with. There was in issue with my account and she went above and beyond to get the issue fixed in a timely manner. This is the kind of service that should be held as a standard all over. I will definitely be recommending this location as long as she’s working behind the counter.
The very kind Tiesha stayed late to sign me up the first night I rented the unit. I didn't have a lock yet so she put one on for to be sure. Also when I was unloading my things a few days later. I was playing music & my truck battery died. Who came to my rescue with a jump? (with a couple jokes & good attitude) That's right... The awesome Tiesha, girl is the bomb! Ya's could tell 'em sez so.
They keep it clean. But only 3 carts for the entire building is not enough.
Nice clean facility. Tiesha was able to accommodate and help reduce the stress of moving in such a short notice. I hope to be a long time Public Storage client for a while.

Moving is so stressful but it’s always a blessing when you have that one person who makes it so much better. Tiesha was hands down the absolute best. Was looking for a unit, and was helped by Tiesha, customer service was amazing and friendly, she helped me get the lowest rate I can, and overall had a good experience.
The facility is nice (it's still quite new) and staff is friendly. However, my rate has almost doubled in 1 year. Increases are expected, but that's outrageous. Excellent way to lose an on-time paying customer.
Edit: Rate just jumped another $50/month. Now we are approaching 3x initial rent.
Prices jump up massively from advertised rates 2 months after paying movers to put our home in storage. Misleading pricing. Would not recommend.
Eli saved the day for me! After no other storage facilities in the area would accept our u-pack trailer drop off overnight, Eli came through last minute. He is so friendly, professional and eager to help in any way possible. Inside of an extremely stressful experience, he was a ray of sunshine. Also, prices for Public Storage were way better than Cube Smart and the others.
Stopped in today to see what storage units they had available. Eli helped answer all of our questions and was super professional and informative about the process. As soon as I’m ready to rent, I will be coming straight back here to talk to Eli. Thanks again!
I rented a storage unit here with Adriana she was very welcoming and very helpful she helped me get to my unit so that I wouldn’t get lost (I’m one to get lost) just great customer service overall and a clean facility I would rent here again and recommend to anyone looking to rent a storage unit.
I went in not sure if that was the place I was going to use and Brianna did a FANTASTIC job making sure that I chose there. She showed me through the facility and walked me through where everything was and how all the codes worked for the security! I appreciate all the above and beyond customer service!
The space i rented had a large column in it. I went to the office. They quickly found me a better unit in a better location with no obstruction. It took about 5 minutes. The employee was super friendly and helpful! We are very pleased!

My name is Chef Jose Luis Hernandez and I am writing this review because there is something to be said. In the past 10 years that I have needed to use storages because of my career and business, I have never been this comfortable on location, cleanliness, security, and outstanding customer service. Mr. Travis has enforced and exceeded the facilities’ standards. In the last month, I had a situation with one of my storages and Mr. Travis immediately explained to me all the circumstances and procedures needed to be done and contacted me with regional management to assist with a resolution. I have used other Storage facilities before but I can recommend that this is the one that you should consider. I would like to send a personal thank you to Mr. Travis for taking ownership of his position and establishment to guarantee the best necessities of each individual person. Although I can only put 5 stars on this review, personally it has exceeded my expectations.

Ever since the name changed the service level has been subpar. Also when I rented a year ago I was ensured the storage inside was climate controlled, however upon entering one of my storage units I discovered mold. And lastly, I recently received a notice the monthly fee was increasing. The last point I do understand, inflation.
Huge! Plenty of parking, dry indoor units of varying sizes, in daytime it was well-lit. Standard lock used on units. Incredibly clean along every hallway! Plenty of space to park next to entrances-exits enabling you to unload or load anything being/to be stored here.
Unfortunately, both 'Google Maps' And 'Google Go Now' Maps have the Wrong location marked on their maps. Maps'verbal direction is incorrect, this made locating Public Storage very difficult difficult to find.
The address is on i 281 North, in San Antonio.
It is Not located next to the In And Out Take Out on the North side of the 281 freeway, it is Across the freeway, along a side street - facing 281 South. It is behind The Olive Garden, as you must drive down an unnamed road around curves to find this expansive clean inpressive Storage Center.
We purchased an item from a Seller who had it stored there.
If we needed a Storage Unit though we definitely would use this one!
