Cathy is always very helpful and willing to go above and beyond
I moved out on 10/30/24 @ 7pm. Even though the property office closed at 7p the property manager Kathy still assisted me in getting my missing access code and got my locked unit opened. I was moved out after an hour. I appreciate the great customer service she provided. Thanks!
Public storage is horrible. They could not even pay me to store my items there. I used to work at this dive and I quit after 3 months. People, they care nothing about you or your belongings. They have corporate mentality and only care about the money. When I worked their I asked for cameras on side of the building that is next to some run down apartments. I mean come on cameras are not expensive and it would help detour thieves from breaking in but they were to cheap and would not get a camera and I had about 6 units get broken into on that side. That's when I said goodbye because it just showed me how they truly don't care. Once you rent a unit that's it and all that matters. It's not their problem after that and sadly these people lost their stuff because most did not have the unit insured. I am with another company now and have been here over 2 years and it is amazing how different this company is. They do care and because they care the facility I am at has not had any break ins at all the entire time I have worked here. so bottom line is if you don't really care about stuff your storing then this place is a perfect fit for you.

Although the manager was friendly they do not offer moving carts here so if you have to move your stuff inside or upstairs bring your own carts or be prepared to tote it all in by hand. While there several police officers showed up to take reports for break ins.

Peg is awesome and very knowledgeable. The customer service was pretty great and it seems as if they are getting better at it. I thought that was pretty cool. It's nice to have someone there to have access to when needed and she seemed very helpful and informed me that if I needed to find anyone at the other property could call their location which I thought was convenient.

I have been a customer for less than 2 weeks. I went to get an item out of my unit on 6/10/2024 at 5:30 pm and the elevator was off and the door to the stairs was locked. No one else was on site and the management didn't answer the phone.
I tried again this morning and same problem - elevator is off with no one on site. I tried calling again but no one answered.
They essentially are holding my things hostage. I tried contacting support through the website and they said I need to wait 72 hours. I have an item I need to ship to my customer and it is trapped in my unit with no way to get it. I cannot afford to wait 72 hours.
I would avoid leasing here at all costs, no matter how attractive the rates are.
I have been renting at the facility for many years and recently took a new unit. The staff Kathye and Paul were very helpful in making this happen as smoothly as possible. the main problem has been the access since the extended system has been operational, the experience has not been as expected too many outages causing difficulty in gaining entry.
By far the worst storage experience I have ever went through. Staff is on site once in a blue moon. No one ever answers or calls you back unless it is to tell you you are past due or they will be changing your lock, and even then your probably getting a call from a different office. There is no communication between the different people that come in and out of that office and their notation for calls are hardly accurate to what was discussed.
I met an awesome lady Ms. Kathye who made my afternoon. Exceptional customer service and very friendly. Looking forward to renting storage at this facility.

I have been on and off with public storage for many years now and this year they just keep changing the policy taking away my insurance and charging me late fees they raise my rent $25 when I had barely had it a month but all in all I'm still there
When I had went to rent a space, they didn't have a cart or trolley to carry my stuff upstairs. This is the first time I am finding a facility that didn't have a cart. I was told that the cart would be available the same evening. I did call the next day and was told that they don't have a cart or won't have one. Wish this was told upfront. If you are looking for a facility with a cart to carry your upstairs look for another place.

The place it self was a 1 star when I first saw it ... Speaking of the Public Storage location on 1938 NE Loop 410 ... But ever since miss Kathye Young has taken over the place you can literally see the difference and how clean it has gotten ... I can only imagine the kinda hard work she has had to put in on a daily basis just to get that place into decent shape which at first I thought it would be almost impossible but thanks to her hard work dedication and professionalism it has ...little by little she has turn that dump into a decent place ... Good job miss Kathye ... Public Storage is very lucky to have a person as knowledgeable and as nice as you ... 5star employees 3 star at best location....

Place is never open, manager is not on site to help open building to access storage unit.
Place is fairly clean, haven't had any issues with unit or access or anything. Only real issue is how idc the staff is about anything other than collecting your money or renting/ selling you things. Need a cart? Unless someone put it back in the elevator area, forget it. Staff does not care enough to even check in the areas you don't have access to. So if someone left it in the lower inside area and you have an upper unit, no cart for you, you get to carry everything back and forth. Staff is more concerned with hanging out in their car than helping you, unless your buying something.
Hit or miss. Either awesome employees or horrible ones!
Best place to buy storage auctions
Had a really good experience at this location. Jen is AMAZING.
This location is not fully staffed and are not there when they say they are supposed to be there.
Also, they never answer their phone and your voice mail seems to go to another location.
We received a very rude and unprofessional voice mail from Rachael saying she was going to ban us from storage auctions if we didnt come and pay for our unit. We had already left multiple voice mails, emails and even stopped by prior to this.
The only saving grace was Paul. He was amazing! He apologized and worked with us to secure our clean out. He was a Rockstar!
Good value for the price. The best thing about this location is Danae, the property manager to see it you need help. She helped our non-profit change accounts and get a larger unit for less. She knows what she is doing and takes the initiative. Wish she was onsite every day. She will return your calls and get answers to your questions. Thanks for great service, Danae!

They are friendly when they finally do assist you. I routinely purchase units through auctions and this location never has a staff member readily available in the office to finalize a transaction. There's usually a minimum hour wait time and multiple phone calls required to get anyone's attention. It's extremely inconvenient and a waste of time just waiting.
I showed Up Today @350 waited Almost Damn Near 30 mins For someone To Assist me NOBODY, Doors Unlocked No Person On The Lot To Help .
Crystal was so helpful in helping me to switch units. This is my first time getting a storage unit and I had no idea which size I needed. It turns out the one I initially got was too small. She helped me to transfer to a bigger unit and was so helpful and nice.

UPDATE (to 3-stars): After I left this review they did call me and give me a discounted price, which helped. It's unfortunate that that's what it took. But I guess that's the way their industry goes. Just know that will likely happen with any storage unit you rent anywhere. I have been here two years and never had my unit broken into (although others have...I think I've been lucky). If you can afford to do inside, your stuff might be safer. Just be aware in case you have valuables.
Old review (1 star): I was sucked in by the low $99 per month rate which was super competitive but was there only three months and my rate went up to $126 automatically and THEN a few months later it went up to $150 per month. Ugh. So be sure you get an annual contract if you're going to be there for more than a few months. Now I'm looking into options to move. So lame when you'd think they'd want to keep a good customer who pays automatically on time each month rather than having to fill the space again with another new low introductory rate.

Will raise the rent every 6 months. I was loading a trailer and needed a cart. There wasn't anyone there at the posted opening time. It took me an extra hour to load the trailer without a cart. The office was still not open when I left. Two hours after scheduled opening.

You should consider burying anything of importantce in the ground Public storage has the worst customer service. They charge more and more without explanation. Then give you no bathroom to use and if you don't have business done at 9 expect to wake up at 5 to hopefully have your possessions still there. If you read these words it gets worse. Find A different option.

Teresa is a rock star! She may be new to the job but she’s an old pro! I appreciated all of her help this weekend. I also love this Public Storage location. I only meant to rent for a short period of time but due to unforeseen circumstances I was there much longer. But I have had nothing but great service accessing my unit and have had all my questions answered. The only issue I have had was with the price going up twice since originally renting but I understood that was universal across all public storages and my location did all they could to stave off the price increases for as long as possible on each occurrence.
Meigan is very friendly and knowledgeable. She had to do it twice because I wanted one with the $1 first month special. The unit I chose did not have that. So she had to find one that did have it and redo it. She wasn't upset about it at. I hope to see her again. If I ever have to rent another unit I hope she is there again.

If customers leave all the carts on the second; third floors and you have access to only the first floor, well, don't look any further for assistance, you're not going to get any.
