Changing to a smaller unit was a snap. Just had to coordinate with office manager on location and the whole process took less than 15 min and we have 48 hours to move to the new unit. Easy peasy!

Their rate increases have been crazy and the third party insurance they use it double what other storage insurances are. My bill has increased 20 dollars in the last two months and I am now paying 70 for a small 5x5. I was not told of this last increase. Isn’t that illegal?
Reserved a unit online and was given a storage on the 2nd floor wayyyy in the boondocks. NOT A CART IN SIGHT OR ON SITE. This is my THIRD time coming to move my stuff with no cart! Spoke with office staff (a male and a female) today, 8/18/24 around 12:00 p.m., and they were no help. They told me to look around for them, and they could be anywhere. I asked if they kept a spare one in the office for customer use. They said “No”. Well, I’ve searched the whole facility and there is not a cart in sight. Worst part is they have cameras (screens visible from their desks), and they didn’t attempt to be proactive and look on them to identify an area where carts may be available. I was sent out like this is a scavenger hunt. I saw the gentleman with cleaning products leaving the storage building upon my arrival. Ensuring carts are available, as advertised, should be on the daily checklist. UNACCEPTABLE!! This lease will be SHORT based on laziness and lack of customer service alone. Now, let me go walk all this stuff up one by one to sit in the unit until I find another storage company who cares about customer service and women doing things on their own. SMH!

I recently had a great experience at Public Storage thanks to two wonderful women, both named Mitchell. Their customer service was outstanding.
When I walked in, the first Mitchell welcomed me with a friendly smile. She took the time to answer all my questions about the different storage options and helped me pick the right one. She really knew her stuff and made everything simple and stress-free.
The second Mitchell helped me with the paperwork and getting set up. She was super efficient and thorough, making sure I had everything I needed. She even shared some helpful tips on how to best use the storage space.
Both Mitchells were professional, attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a good experience. They went above and beyond to help me out. If you need storage, I highly recommend going to Public Storage and asking for the Mitchells. You won't be disappointed!

It's a very nice facility, very clean, and the climate controlled units had no trouble keeping my stuff in good condition over the summer; however, the rates are always increasing. Over the course of 1 year my rate has almost doubled. I get that the starting rate is a promo rate and I expected it to increase after a few months, but the amount it has increased is starting to get excessive.
Employees are rude, bathrooms never have soap or paper towels, people (vehicles) wait to follow you in, nothing safe at this facility. This place is a joke. Can't wait to get my stuff out and move to a different storage facility. "Public" storage means just that. The "public" can enter (follow behind you) and steal whatever they like. When you exit you need your code as well, but people wait, and leave when someone else uses their code.

This is a convenient location, easy to get in and out, and always super clean. I feel safe accessing the storage unit since you drive inside and access your unit from behind closed doors. The buildings are only accessible by renters who have gate codes and there are lots of security cameras. Many other company’s storage units open to the outside where passersby can easily see what’s in the unit. Dollies are readily available in each building so you can easily transport your items in or out of your storage unit. There are elevators making it easy to access your unit when it’s not on the first floor.
Michelle is always super friendly and helpful. She also quickly helped sort out a billing issue for us. Thanks to you and your team, Michelle!

****Update: I am assuming someone that works at public storage seen this review because I got an email a few days after posting this review that my monthly rent was reduced back down for being a loyal customer. Because of their willingness to make the situation better and provide this kind of customer service, I do recommend using this facility.
It's always kept very clean and access is convenient, but please read fine terms of your rental because they are constantly raising monthly rates. If you do the self sign-up online, just beware your promo price will dramatically increase every couple months. Because of the outrageous price hikes, I recommend you stay away from this company.
We moved to Public storage bc where we were storing our things became way too expensive. The price was so much better, the storage unit is much taller, the facilities are very nice and super clean and the staff is super helpful. Daniel moved our units so we were in the same building and are across the hall from each other. We really appreciated his going the second mile to make life easier for our family.

Worst service ever!!! 4th time we been here when they are supposed to be open and noone is here, no signs on door except, saying they are open, we cant access our storage, noone is returning our calls no property manager will answer, we drove 40 milesto get here and our truck is due back today and the cost of fuel is high. Customer service line had no solutions ridiculous service. Dont rent a unit here, you will regret it!!!

Very nice place. The big frustration I have is that once you're inside, you cannot use your phone to get out of the building. No wifi inside the building is stupid. This day and age this is an easy fix. I'm not very happy with the people that work there. They aren't friendly, nor overly helpful o0

I walked right in and was helped wonderfully by a man with a great beard! He was super informative and went above and beyond. The place was unexpectedly super clean and the process was insanely easy. Completed everything online and they even had a lock waiting for me in the storage. Awesome place!!!
Brice at castle Rowlett is awesome! I have used lots of storage facilities, but he was by far the friendliest and most helpful! The property is super clean and feels safe for a single woman to be at after dark.
Do not rent a storage here. Moved in a month ago and already not happy. With no signs of improvement, the elevators are a hit or miss. They don't work some of the time. The customer service is well below par. Our storage door is barely functional and I've had to pop it on track a few times to open/close it
Don't come here during any type of bad weather. Came here to drop off a few items before heading home during a bad storm. There's no back up generator so the power went out, got stuck in the elevator, couldn't get to the cars once out, and had to miss a day of work because they didn't get the place back running until 12 pm the next day.
Robby was great super patient and great conversation he made sure that I was taken care of and got the unit I was looking for !

The logistics of this building does not make sense to me. Only Two elevators (In my mind there should be 4) and one has been broken from an extended period of time. You have families and movers sharing 1 elevator which is a nightmare. You have to enter in a long digit access code to use the elevator to get to the proper floor which is incredible annoying. Apparently this is for additional security which I think is unnecessary, there are better approaches to keep security. To top it off the elevators is smaller than I expected for a storage facility. To leave the building I had to get out of my vehicle to press an exit button so the gate could open so I can exit, which I also find annoying and unnecessary. The plus side is the staff are friendly and accommodating. Kudos to them.
I stopped by this location a couple of days ago to look at a few unit sizes to make up my mind as what to rent . Have to the Manager on duty “Robby” was amazing and really went out of his way to show me five different units . Will be coming back to rent here for sure

Very disappointed. For starters I’ve been trying to reach out to them. And I get no answer. The first time I had to call about 5 times for them to finally answer me. And I have the calls to prove that. On top of that I was never notified that they took my card off of auto pay so I ended up backed up. And during my first call I specifically told them I change my number. And they say they’ve been trying to reach me. Now My storage is in auction all because they couldn’t listen to simple instructions of changing over my number. And never answering me. I’m not so happy now I lost so much money.
I love this the staff is nice and customer service is awesome I use this property for 9 months and never had one issue with the elevators, cool climate control a clean facility and well kept and Dollies were always available for use.
So public storage has bought out All Storage and is going to be replacing them this week I don't know how I feel about that because I already have a public storage separate from the All storage and hopefully the price doesn't go up if it does I will surely update on it
From the moment that we walked into the office till the time we left Teresia was amazing. She helped us find the best unit for what we needed. She was patient and knowledgeable of the complex. The site was clean and fairly priced. Great deal!
The elevator malfunctioned for over a month. The front entrance has been unaccessible for about a month. The exit door has to remain open for ease of use by customers, but that makes the temperature inside too hot. Any one with units on the bottom, isn't getting the climate controlled storage they are paying for.

Victoria was so helpful when we were signing up! I had goofed doing it online and she got it all straightened out for us! Then I was having some trouble understanding the billing and Brice and Theresa helped me figure that out! This facility is clean and the people who work here are so friendly and helpful.
I have rented from Public Storage over the years and by far - this location is exceptional! Brice and Victoria were “world class”! I currently managed/trained customer service staff in government (20 yrs.) and I recognize “A” class customer service when I see it & experience it! Professional, integrity, excellent communication and knowledge of PS processes, articulate, and kind. Trust me - their character has renewed my faith in dealing with Public Storage staff. I felt it was worth the time and effort to stop and inform PS management team - Veronica A. and Brice M. are certainly an asset and representative of the Public Storage image and mission - remember them and utilize their skill sets for growth and performance reviews - well deserved and I promise you will not be disappointed!
