Fairbanks/Northwest Crossing Self Storage On Highway 290
Public Storage in the Fairbanks/Northwest Crossing area of Houston, located on the north side of Highway 290 between Hollister Street and Fairbanks North Houston Road, offers a variety of cheap self storage units.
At this location, customers will find a large selection of outdoor storage units with drive-up access, which makes loading and unloading a vehicle simple. If you love RATS chewing and pissing all over your valuable items then look no further ! They hit you with that yearly charge increase,but hey at least they are nice enough to include FREE little brown raisins all over your furniture and floor in case you get hungry during your move (rat poop in case you're a bit slow). Don't be shocked when you're watching the news and you hear that they found the new Covid 20 out of a public storage facility. Anyways don't store anything you might want to use in the future or anything with wires, just find another place !

I had a storage unit at this location since August 2021 because the rates were great. By the end of 2021, our rates went up $40. By the end of 2022, our rates went up another $30. Just a month ago our rate went up another $30 and at this point, our rental rate has doubled since we first got the storage unit in August 2021. So we decided to move our belongings to another storage unit and when we opened our unit, we found a dead rat and rat feces scattered all around the storage unit. Never using public storage again.
Customer was very nice and she helped me. Not often can I find a bilingual person and christina was great.

Not a Safe or Secure storage place.
I toured the property and selected a unit. Then came the "Up Sale" to buy their Special Lock however I refused as I wanted to use my own lock and not a lock they may have a Master key to.
NOTE: You can't move in until you bring or a lock or buy their lock for $20 and they charge extra for Vehicle Storage but less for a Bed.
With all the pushing of their lock I am lead to believe they have a Master Key to their lock and IF you don't pay on time, they will open YOUR unit and take inventory for Auction.
Went in inquiring about a unit the lady Latyra was great she has the most outstanding attitude and respect . The property was well maintain very clean .

Dragon Lady is different to deal with. Always has a negative attitude unless you but her $20 lock.

I've been with this storage unit for some years I have no issue with them but, when it comes to payments and I don't get paid on the first of every month when I try to call them for a extension they never answer the phone nor do they reach back when you leave a voice message but there quick to, send a notice out when It comes to the missing payment part. And the rent prices are outrageous. It's been like this since I've been here I wish that where more convenient like they say they are. But yet again they don't really care im sure they can answer the phone because its right there at the front desk. If you don't want to do your job then get a new one. Because this is out of control

The experience outside of dealing with Mrs xhristina and the fact that still 3 years later access to the property is limited to 6pm is absolutely ridiculous. We most work until.that time and in the Houston heat early morning and after the sun is moving times
I still am unable to access to my storage after 6 pm that was placed in the "Pandemic" a couple of years ago. Just sad. If I pay late I lose access and if I pay I still don't have full access while majority of properties are back open until 9pm

Christina just keeps harassing us. I'm not sure what the problem is but she harasses us everytime we come on property. I pay rent here just like everyone else. If she wants us to move out then she needs to tell us that and refund all the money I paid.
