Not a very secure place to store your things. I went to check on my unit after a few months of ongoing construction of the AC system. My unit had two holes on the outside and inside. I voiced my concern and was told that it would be done soon. It took more than two months. This last weekend I went to check on the unit once again and found that the latch where the lock goes was bent. Someone tried to break into the unit. Turns out several units were broken into on multiple occasions and no one was notified. At least mine wasn't successful. I was told the latch would be replaced last week. I called to follow up and Jennifer could not give me an estimated time of when it would be replaced. So if the robbers tried again, they would be successful at removing the latch with the lock attached. Not only that, the facility never notifies you if there is work being done on or around your unit. They claim they sent you e-mail when in fact they don’t bother. Not even a phone call. They just change the locks and it’s a hassle trying to find the keys to the lock they replace. They knock your things over and the workers leave broken locks, nuts, bolts, dust, and trash behind. Beware of this storage facility and the employees who act like they don't care. Update: it’s been months since the review and overcharged me for three straight months I guess to cover the replacement of the entire door and latch. They left trash behind, again for the customer to clean up.

Best service we have had today. We have used Public Storage for years but today was outstanding. Craig had three clients and knew how to manage helping all three of us customers. Mr.Craig was polite and patient. I give 5 stars because of him. The unit was clean and years before it was not we had to sweep and mop it ourselves.

I have had a storage here for many years. Staff are friendly and it's always clean. Only thing I don't like are the hours. I believe it was after covid when they changed.

It's the hours for me. Open late (9:30a) and close early (6p). This is not commensurate with most work schedules nor other PS in the area.
At least extend the hours on weekends.
Since day one till the day I decided to vacate my storage Latoya and Cesar were so much help and I appreciate their communication and every aspect that I have had snd made it good I recommend for people to choose this facility as their storage thank you so much for everything.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! BREAK INS! NO PROPERTY MANAGER ON SITE! THEFT!!!! I had reserved a unit two weeks prior to move in and was not given the numbered padlock code (not the gate code) to get into the building to access my unit through the app. Took me 3 hours on hold after multiple calls and emails sent before someone told me the code. This cost me $100 extra from renting my Uhaul Truck no thanks to this location and Public Storage with their poor customer service. Upon returning the following day, another customer had pictures of multiple break ins to his unit which looked like and inside job. I will NEVER do business here as I moved to another storage. You have been warned.

Rented a unit for only one month, went February 1st to go get my things and found that my unit was broken into and had everything taken the only thing they left was my daughters books and my mattress and when I went to the office to tell the front desk worker he asked “ when was the unit broken into” as if I knew exactly when they broke into the unit. My unit still had the lock on it which makes me believe it was a person working there that did this because the lock was not broken someone had access to my lock and went through all my things and then locked it back up

47 units were broken into!
3 weeks prior, 53 units were burglarized!
The worker was very helpful and knowledgeable about making sure he served me in a timely and fashionable way.
Friendly customer service and as long as you make majority of your payments on time they will work with you in emergencies only. Air conditioned and closed, big storage spaces. There were a few cons that I couldn’t really get past.
Every time we went to this storage unit there were nails and screws spread out amongst the whole back side of all the driving areas. Be cautious because i had to replace many tires after visiting this place. If you have the option to walk through the buildings to the back, I would do that to spare your tires.
The next thing was the storage units aren’t accessible past 6 on most days and 5 on Sundays. The gate will lock and you will have to call management to get you out.
The last thing that I wasn’t too excited about is how all of my things had these tiny black bugs in the bottom of everything. Also all of our things had this gross sticky film over it, idk if it was from the bugs or what.
The front desk employee Cesar was incredibly helpful in helping me find the best suitable storage. Even granted me a tour.

Ridiculous rates increase rates. Took my business elsewhere. Expect for Public Storage to bait you in for a low low rate and hike it on you every few months.
UPDATE: The response from the business shows how unprofessional this location/company is. Still haven’t received a phone call from the manager, Cesar, as we were promised multiple times. I suggest potential customers look elsewhere.
The gate closed on my car while my husband was on his way out after picking up a few things from our storage unit on 05/30/22. The man working that day was the janitor, who told us he hasn’t seen something like this before, that the sensor should have prevented this, and to call when the manager was going to be back the next day so he could figure out a way to fix the situation. We’ve called for two days since, with promises that the manager, Cesar, would call back with a solution for us. We’ve yet to hear anything back. This is the car I drive my kids around in. Although we’ve had no issues with storage there, this is completely unacceptable and very disappointing.

Hello my mother rented a unit at the 8430 Gulf Freeway
Houston, TX 77017 location that has been broken into twice and management has refused to do anything both times when it came to security. It is appalling that this happens and the employees do not care. Both times have been reported to the police and a report to the BBB for the ineptitude and lack of responsibly demonstrated by your facility will be done. I am very displeased with your company and the practices shown. I will NOT be recommending your facility to anyone and will make sure no one I know rents from here.
