I wrote a good review but now I'm deleting and rewriting another one. First I want to say my experience with public storage wasn't not all that great. They are hard to get in contact with at times there are no carts to move your stuff in/out the restrooms are always out of order. But multiple times I wasn't able to make a payment on my storage unit and they cut my lock one time and after finally moving all of my things out of the unit I realized some of my belongings are missing. I'm very pissed about that because the items that are missing/stolen from here is valuable to me. Do not rent here if you can help it apparently when they cut your locks they steal your stuff too and I didn't know my stuff was missing until I went to look for it and couldn't find it. Lord knows what else is missing too. Please beware of this place they also never answer the phone either which is annoying!!
No air no dollies elevators don't have work and the employees are very disrespectful there is no one there to answer the phone at times all the time when they there they don't do they work they don't do nothing but stay in the office head off the site and on a damn phones very disrespectful people they need all new employees

It's ok. Hard to find the staff on site because there's usually only one who's doing both the cleaning and manning the front. Place is pretty clean and the gates and etc work well, but i wish it was set up with more truck space, a dock, and those big flat carts that people use for moving because if you need to carry something in or out without movers, you have to carry it across the building yourself or have something with wheels on it to carry your stuff on.
Annoyed with some of the staff because they are too lazy to keep cleaning the bathrooms so they just locked them all. Kiiiind of an issue when that affects how well your body is working during the process of moving and carrying heavy stuff. I do like that this location is placed well to avoid flooding though. Big concern in a place like houston.

I've been a customer with Public Storage since June of this year. I opened a unit here as I'm fairly new to Houston, and needed a temporary place to store all of my makeup, and hair products until my suite became available later this year to start my business. First, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service provided by Bridgett at this location. I've only really had one encounter with her before today, and it was regarding a payment. Her attitute towards me has always been hostile, and rude. 26 years of my life, and I've never felt the need to leave a review on any businesses page about an employees actions towards me, but I do feel accountability needs to be taken. I also work in customer service, and wouldn't want to be treated the way she has treated me. After our conversation today I will be taking my business elsewhere. Secondly, the bathroom here is never really open for customers to use. When it's open it's kept unclean, and smells horrible! Lastly, my unit is indoors and I began to see more, and more small roaches here. I've been spraying and returing almost daily to make sure that my belongings are kept in good conditon. I hope to hear from management soon. Take your business elsewhere!

Worst storage place ever I never got to move in and use my unit. I went to the front to get help with an issue and the woman had locked the door and wouldn’t help me. Called to try and get my money back since I didn’t use the unit and they told me that they will not refund me my money so they are just stealing my money since I didn’t receive what I paid for. So I will be reporting to the BBB and will be using U-Haul from now on since they actually will help their customers. Save your money and go anywhere but to this company. Worst experience ever.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would...
DO NOT rent here! they will scam you out of money! I rented my unit at the beginning of this month on the first and moved in. through the contract and emails I saw that you could get a refund for returning the lock provided by p.s within the 30 days (they have changed this policy around to fit their narative various times) 1st it has to be returned before the first 30 days of you having the unit. the 2nd time I went up there the woman at the front office (she was an older black woman i didnt get her name that time) said i could NOT return it because it was RECOMENDED (not REQUIRED) to have the lock given to you when you sign up (I already had the ones in the picture below) . now to what has happened on April 24, 2024...
this is the 3rd ATTEMPT at getting my refund to return this lock before the 30 days are up there was a woman named Solma (pictured below from the video recording from this interaction) and told her I was here to return the lock before the 30 days are up AGAIN and with proof that there was 2 locks on the unit as I didn't want to get the excuse of needing the other lock on my unit as so they won't give me my refund. Now, she is saying that they do not accept the return because it has been "used" and that it's supposed to be returned BEFORE you move into the unit. I did my agreement online, and the lock was inside the unit when I went into move my stuff in. she said in a snarky, unprofessional tone, "Do you return groceries if you already used them?" amongst other things. Is RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL on the p.s. Hiring packet?
Anyways.
I am expecting a call from management of this location or from the district manager, whomever is going to fix this ongoing issue.

This is terrible, they rented me a storage on the second floor, but the elevator is broken, so I can’t get into my storage. They don’t even have stairs

This is not to be taking lightly when I say they relieved my stress from moving in to a storage for my 1st time, they was awesome. Do not rent from here!!!! I rented a unit for 3 months with all of mine and my kids stuff as we were in temporary housing for the summer. So our beds, furniture, everything was being stored. I went to start taking things out after 3 months and it’s completely covered in MOLD! This is climate controlled. They would not do anything to help and had to wait for manager to call me which was no help when finally getting ahold. He was not willing to help in anyway. Insurance will only cover up to $250. I pay $200 a month for this unit. I am now having to come out of pocket thousands of dollars that I do not have to replace my kids living spaces. Also while waiting for manager to return I held off on paying rent. After 11 days of late payment they completely deny you access into unit. Worst customer service of my life!!! Hopefully I can save others from renting here and avoiding damages to their valuables. Avoid this place!!!!!!

I am currently at the PS at 10200 S. Main l. (Houston).They were not transparent in their policy to lock dollies at 6pm when the office closes. I pointed this out and was met with very negative attitudes. Yes the dollies are complimentary but tell me up front so I can adjust. I have to stars because the place is neat and clean.

Portia did her best to help me work out a problem I had at another location. She was absolutely amazing. The customer service at this location is impeccable.
These people (district manager and corporat) lied when they promised to refund my money for a storage never used... horrible place!

One star is extremely too much. I've been here over a year and although the sign on the wall says "carts available as courtesy during business hours ". They close at 6pm. Why lock the carts up before that time. That's not policy nor good customer service. I waited outside for a cart to become available. One pregnant employee was cleaning the bathroom while another associate came off the elevator and refuse me utilization of a cart. I've been at this facility over a year, two rent increases with no courtesy call or email to notify such. I don't recommend this Public Storage. Corporate office will definitely hear from me
The young black girl was very informative. She did give me her name but I totally forgot it. I had questions about the difference in price between online and in store and it was explained perfectly. I chose to rent online and she was very helpful and really sweet.

This is a horribly ran facility asked to use the restroom they said they can’t let me use the restroom because I don’t rent a space there I told them I’m working for a customer helping to unload them and they said they still can’t allow me to go use the restroom I mean for god sake‘s I’m a human being surely you could let another human being use the restroom they were acting like they were the guardians of the restroom it is crazy. I don’t know if it is policy or just horrible employees
Stuff tend to be broken there like elevators, door to get in, etc. They lock up the dollies during non business hours which is super inconvenient. The controlled temperature i wish is was colder cuz im moving stuff around hot isnt cool. Im okay w| my stuff there but honestly i wouldnt choose them again #itzNono
I chatted With Kim she was very helpful and answered all my questions concerning storage spaces. I believe she had my interest at heart and found the best storage size I needed. Kim was very helpful, knowledgeable and has a great personality. She is the true definition of customer service.

I had the best experience today at public storage on 7701 S main. First it started at the front door. Ivy was so nice and professional! She definitely went above and beyond with helping me with what i needed. If I could give her 10 stars I would. I will definitely be back at this location if I needed another purchase! That's how lovely and professional she was! I Wish there were more of you! Keep up the wonderful work you do Ivy…You definitely DESERVES a RAISE!!
Thank you to the wonderful staff here at this location--10200 S Main St. They literally rescued me when I was locked out of another Storage location that I had reserved and was paying movers and rental truck costs. Thank you Ivy for your persistence, patience and help. You saved the day.
