Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1408 N State Highway 161, Grand Prairie, TX

Well I didn't have a lot of time to find a storage unit. My lease was up and not being renewed and the motel I was going to stay in was next door to public storage. So I rented a 10 x 20 unit. And after packing up a home I lived in since 1979 and placing all my belongings into my unit . I checked out my storage after the first month and as soon as I opened the door. The signs of rodents was clearly visible. Droppings on all boxes and flat surfaces and the smell of urine. I cleaned up what I could placing some natural keep away. When I went to the office I couldn't get in and it was just 3 pm. Using the keypad to request for a live person is a joke. Even when you see their car parked by where it appears to be where they live. They don't want to be bothered. If I had somewhere else to store my things. Just saying... Customer service is not what it once was

This place is a joke. They will lure you in with a low rate and raise it without notice.

Very convenient renting a unit, love that, but not so good when vacating, never could catch anyone on the property nor by phone, had to go to another location to speak with someone, other than that it’s cool

WORST PLACE EVER PLEASE DONT PUT YOUR STUFF HERE! I DONT KNOW WHO THE HELL OWN THIS PLACE NOBODY EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE! They got my stuff lock and I can’t even contact nobody to come get this lock off my stuff and I don’t know how to get my things out I called and called and called no damn answer! I’m fed up at this point! I pay my storage! It’s upsetting ghetto and not right I WILL BE CALLING THE POLICE AND PUTTING THIS STAFF UNDER INVESTIGATION IM DONE PLAYING WITH YALL AND MY MONEY IS THE OWNER DEAD????

This facility is a dump and I would not suggest anyone store their things there unless they're your ex wife stuff

Alright folks, listen, good pay attention. I came from California. I went in a storage on Pioneer. They broke into it. When I say they broke into it. I meant public storage staff. Okay, we got passed that 1 so again. I rented a storage in grand prairie on 161 once again, they broke into it, the staff. When I made noise, they terminated my lease. No outside person. We gave our key to Cameron. So my word to everyone is go inside your storage. Check thoroearly because public storage support. And hires thieves backed him up. When you make noise, they terminate your lease. I will keep sounding off until someone answers or hears me. I have sent emails to headquarters the main office. To see yo, you get no response. You get a text. Message saying your l Lease been Terminated

Never a response from property management. Dirty and mice in unit.

Very nice storage complex, went in for to ask about information about this place and was met by a very happy Caucasian young man who eagerly helped me and quickily helped me acquire my storage unit. Looks like there are some good employees because it is always well maintained and up to date. Gonna keep storing items here until I die. Thank you my friendly neighborhood storage unit 🫵 🪨

Beware!!! I had 10x10 storage for close to 2 years and just last month found out management sold all my stuff by accident. I had lots of stuff in there including many vintage bicycles. A month goes by I can't even get a settlement of my loss. They are dragging this situation. They made the mistake not me. They offer very little $$$ to what I had in value around $2000 for my collection of bikes. Then they told me to come back cause my stuff was some what there. Very upset for the loss of my collection. There was stuff in there that was not mine. Mattress box spring and 3 backpack of clothes.

I am very pleased with the storage space, and will be moving in more soon. I am appreciative of the new locking mechanism for the storage unit. Very compact and effective.

You can never get a hold of the management. I had to pay two months while the unit was locked from me. I called corporate to ask for a refund or reimbursement till this day. I have not hear back from them. These will be my last month at these location.

Property was pretty clean and in convenient location. Customer service was very attentive regarding my reservation and was able to move in with no issues.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They never returned numerous phone calls, emails and voicemails. The so called property manager is a rude example of unprofessionalism & needs to be fired immediately. Don't recommend ANY public storage. Still was never refunded on a storage I NEVER could get access to as I was sent the wrong access code in an email. I never leave reviews so this shows how much this was warranted. ZERO STARS

I had an appt to get a new lock at 12pm today! Drove over 45 mins to get here and no one is here and no one will answer the phone! Do not use this location! and I agree with the review below, do not use this facility unless you are certain that you will never a person to be there to help you or speak with someone on the phone from this location for assistance. No one is ever there!

I rented an air conditioned unit from here which meant that I needed to a gate code and a door code. I only was sent a gate code with no idea that I needed another code. So, I went back the next day hoping that I could speak to someone but realized that the office is locked and no one was there. I ended up calling the office multiple times and left a voicemail. I found an option that would send you the codes but, it didn't work. The next day I made more calls and still could not speak to an actual person. This is when I realized that if I wanted to speak to someone I'd have to say that I wanted to rent a new unit and not that I needed help. This cycle continued for an entire week of me calling and speaking to customer service who had no idea how to help me. Their solution was for me to leave a voicemail for the property manager. I have left multiple voicemails from the location's line and a voicemail for a direct number. As of writing this (a week later) I have yet to get a call back from any of my messages. I can say with 100% certainty that if you are sure that you will never need assistance or to speak with anyone this is a great place to rent from. If you do end up having problems however, I recommend moving your things to a different facility.

The past couple times I have been to my unit I've noticed two girls cleaning and working at the property. WOW is it looking better. Keep up the good work!

I had an issue with my rented unit the management was extremely professional and handled my issue quickly and I'm very thankful for their action.

Amazing customer service! AD, the property manager always goes above and beyond. I appreciate him and his concern for the care and protection of my stuff! I definitely recommend this spot. Waverly T
