I worked with Jenn and Ron today when I went into Public Storage to update my records and sign a new Rental Agreement. Jenn and I spoke previously on the phone. Jenn followed through on everything she said she would do and she was a pleasure to work with. Ron was equally attentive. They made me feel like a valued client.

I just spoke to a guy over the phone and he was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. I only called to ask why my bill is doubled but he almost yelled at me telling me that sometimes they can just decide to raise the rent at you. He never asked for my name of unit number and hang up on me !! I was in Shock…I called back and Lady named Trina was nice and professional and explained things more it didn’t even take her 3 mins to be nice but whoever I spoke with today 7/18 at 1:41 pm I think you have the wrong Job.
I am extremely satisfied with this property. I received a very clean storage unit and their continued use of covid procedures to lease a unit as "e-rental" really made my day. I did have some issues, of my own confusion, that I met with Lori, the property manager.
Let me tell you. She was one big smile and very helpful. She walked me through my confusion.

Visited my unit for the first time, and when I locked up using the $20 provided lock, the key got stuck and wouldn't turn or come out. The key broke off in the lock making it inaccessible. Visited the office the next day, but did not get a resolution. The staff were apologetic, but unhelpful. They said it takes up to 30 days for someone to come out to remove the lock, or I could hire a locksmith for $100. When filling out the paperwork to request lock removal, they would not accept the request without an additional $20 charge for another one of their locks.
I initially got the unit to help me move out by week's end, but I can't get access for another 3-4 weeks from now. Worst rental storage unit experience I've ever had.

I have had a unit at this location since 2018. They have raised my rent and lowered it (ups and downs) too many times to remember. The latest was about 5 months ago when it was raised from about $130 to $165, then two months ago was lowered to $135/month. All changes, no warning.
I went to this Public Storage location today because I could save HALF of current rate just by moving out of my storage unit I had been in since 2018 and into the unit right next door!! I live in Houston right now. So I asked them why this was necessary and why the rate on my current unit just be dropped back down. I even called corporate many times. (Which may be the reason for the whole $30ish dollar rent decrease). They didn’t care. I lost my job and my car and really would not been able to make this trip if not for the kindness of my fantastic parents. (Yes, I explained all of this to Public Storage every time I called.) They cared not. Fine. It’s a business. That is how they are choosing to make more money.
My unit is “climate controlled”. When I have been in that building to get some things from my unit over the years, it has always been nicely controlled, temperature and humidity wise. I opened my storage unit and started going through some of my boxes. MOLD EVERYWHERE!!!! It was hotter than I’ve ever experienced in the building. It may now be about 1 or 1.5 years since I last went into my unit. I was very upset about there being MOLD covering cherished items that my Grandparents left me when they passed and other treasures I own for my next chapter in life. Furniture, clothes had dead bugs stuck to them, purses that I owned not for price or prestige, but for memories and the support for the local Austin artists who made them, and as mentioned items passed down to me from previous generations of family members.
I went to the office to speak with the manager. I told him what I had found, etc. He no help whatsoever. He told me it IS climate controlled and the air is at 85. He told me there wasn’t anything to be done when it “is 90 degrees out”. (?????😳😳😳?????) I asked him why the temperature outside matters. Even when it reaches 114 degrees a climate controlled unit is rented for the purpose of keeping items in units safe. I guess keeping the temperature 5 degrees below whatever the temp is outside is acceptable to them and they don’t care about people’s belongings getting destroyed.

The property managers here have always been so helpful over the several years i have had units at this location. March 8th, I drove up here with 3 heavy and huge bags of winter things and hauled it to the door and the doors will not open. It is very dark here, none of the outside lights have worked in 6 months at least. Sigh. Not okay. They need more than one entrance here.

We have had several different units at this location, with good customer service and always willing to help. Trena is very helpful always.
First - I have had an indoor climate-controlled 10x8 unit here for over two years:
PROS: 1) Easy access to the unit through three keypads before I reach the 2nd floor where my unit is located
2) Trena is very helpful and understanding
CONS: 1) I started paying $110 monthly - now, just over two years later, my rent has gone up more than 50% to $167/month!!!
2) about one year ago, they deactivated the back exit gate - I am assuming due to the large numbers of homeless folks who encamp near and outside adjacent to the property
3) You only have access to the property between 6am and 9pm - that doesn't seem very accommodating to me - should be 24-7 access, IMHO at these rental prices
4) My unit was broken into between November 4th and December 8th - Public Storage did not notify me and when I discovered that my unit had been pilfered, I went to the front desk and the management was not very open about the incident. They told me to file a police department report. Bottom line, don't store anything of value in your unit, and don't get lulled into a false sense of security that your stuff is safe. I will be looking for a different unit soon.
*Do not* rent from this facility. My unit was broken into at some point over the last month. They are aware of break ins happening (for over a week now, the front desk staff told me!) & have done NOTHING about it. The cameras in the back building have been spray painted over (again, something they are aware of & have done nothing about) so there is no security footage to look back on. They are still renting units to people & not telling them about this. Despicable.

The climate controlled building is great! The lights are automatic. There are three strong moving carts available for use. And there is double security on the building: you must enter your code to open the outer and inner doors.

Facility is always working when we need it and looks to be maintained well. Only knock I’ll give it is the main indoor unit almost never has any carts. Super frustrating.
Be ready for many hidden fees for EVERYTHING. 25$ for locks, 15$ obligatory insurance, $$$ registration fee and many others, if you move out at 1 of November you must pay for the whole month. According to the contract you must inform 60 day prior even if your contract is month to month.

Good clean place
DON'T DO IT . We have 3 units here and they ALL GOT BROKEN INTO. They never told us but let the door just be broken so anybody could access our stuff. We originally got all 3 units at the same exact time but somehow they All had different rates over time and are paying over 3x what we originally contracted. The staff doesn't care, cameras don't work and cops won't do anything, even with finger prints and shoe prints (they stepped on a black case we had, very distinct shoe impressions). ONE of the richest companies in the world and they don't care about you. Don't let the fresh coat of paint fool you. It isn't a safe place for your valuables.
Also- the 3rd floor is hot as hell and it took over 2 years for them to fix the light above our units, (even though we constantly asked them to fix it) so we were always in a dark place to access our storage units.
Wow!!! Special thanks to Jen and Trina for their outstanding help and support w//my long distance move. In addition to pricing, their customer support is truly the best. Go for it…
This place is awesome! (I know it's just a storage facility - but I stick by that assessment.) We had a very hectic move and ended up needing 3 units here. The manager is AMAZING when it comes to customer service and the place is always kept in great shape. Highly recommend!

I came up here 2 weeks ago, but I couldn't review because the day was so frustrating. It was a Sunday. Lori was on staff. Lori worked her butt off.
My access code didn't work initially. Then I couldn't find my locker. Then my lock wasn't good and needed to be exchanged. It took me 3 hours to get one tabletop stored secured in this space. And it was hot as hades.
My long waits for fixes were because Lori was the only one on staff. Clearly, she was getting lockers ready, helping other people, and taking lunch. It definitely made me feel bad about asking for a same-day locker.
Lori is a 10/10, she was patient, kind, and a worker bee, definitely recommend. I hope that it isn't a common practice to have one person working alone. If so, whatever they're getting paid needs to be more.
I wasn’t real thrilled about having to get a storage unit in the first place but life happens. I will say however I am very grateful that I chose public storage, Trina is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with any questions I’ve ever had. I would recommend public storage for any of your storage needs.

Been here for a good bit. Had many other units but the staffing here is second to none. Ms. Trina is absolutely an angel and has bent over backwards to help me in certain situations way more than she should have. Ms. Lori, Tasha, Tall Paul are amazing as well!! If it wasn't for a move id prob be here for life!!!!
I shared a unit at this location with my abusive boyfriend who attacked me while we were at the facility. I had to call the police for protection to get my things out of the shared unit and into a unit I rented in my own. The district manager cancelled my lease without a refund stating I had been involved in a situation that caused property damage, I called and sent several emails without a single response. My ex still has a unit at that location. I was attacked and then punished by the management meanwhile the perpetrator carried on like nothing happened. Do not give this company your business.

I had a HORRIBLE experience. They kept raising the prices on me and ultimate ended up paying 4X what I initially signed up for. I kept the storage for 9 months. They threaten to sell your stuff with no negation for arranged payment after 2 months. When I needed a few days to pay on the 9th month they sold my things with my engagement ring inside.
Best storage unit around, Amazing staff, Amazing prices, I highly recommend if your looking for a friendly storage unit. I was at a different place before and I am glad I switched to public storage. 10/10 everything

Terrible service. This office refuses to honor the terms of their own rental agreements and tacks on an additional charge for a lock. The contract states you can return the unused lock for a refund within 30 days but they refused the return claiming it must be returned on the first day of rental. They refuse to abide by their own policies. Also, it's impossible to contact them by phone during office hours. Stay away

I rented storage space from this location for three years and I not once had a issue. Trena, lovi, and Natalie have always gone above and beyond making sure the facility was always clean and safe. Those three ladies are super sweet and if I ever need storage space again in north Austin I would not hesitate to rent from their facility again.

This place is great, easy access,, no shady characters hanging around. Trina the manager is super helpful, always has a smile on her face. The location is perfect too, I had a unit in south Austin that was inconvenient for me with my new job. So glad I was able to get a unit here.
Trena helped me and she was great! The unit was clean and I felt safe leaving my stuff here. They have carts for people to use during office hours which is really helpful.
I rented a unit for almost 2 years here while I decided to travel during the pandemic and never had an issue! I would visit here and there to make sure everything was fine and it was. Aside from a price increase over the 2 years I have 0 complaints and definitely trusted this storage. The checkout process was also super easy and convenient.

First time using a storage facility, and Trena made it easy! I went yesterday and grabbed my key- figured out the lock, and looked over the unit. It will fit my stuff. I has somewhat confused on how to access it from the rear entrance. I called Trena, and she explained the access points- easy. I've called three times, she's answered all three times! Just questions in general...again because I've never had a storage unit. Thank you Trena!

While this is perhaps the cleanest storage facility I have ever used, pricing strategy left a lot to be desired. I leased a 10'x5' unit less than a year ago, and including the $15 a month insurance they force upon you, the rent was less than $55/ month. A few months later, that went up to $65. Last month, I received an email notification that it would now be $102. A few bucks increase, I can understand, but to DOUBLE the rent in less than a year? There are hundreds of units there, so this is not a matter of keeping up with the economy; it's price gouging greed. I don't blame the staff because they were always very pleasant and are not the ones who set the rates. The staff gets a 5 star, the corporation gets a 0.

I have tried several other storage places but public storage is by far the best. Every time I come in I’m greeted and helped with everything and anything I need. Kizzy helped me with my storage unit any question I had was answered she was quick and efficient and friendly; over the phone and in person as well. Putting a smile on everyone’s face. I’m so happy I chose to rent a storage space here!

What a great experience! I am a college student and this is my first time ever getting myself a storage facility unit. I needed a place to put all my belongings during the summer, seeing as I won’t be here and can’t store it at my family’s house. When first thinking about finding and reserving a unit at a storage facility, it felt very nerve-wracking and daunting. All of my anxieties vanished in an instant once my boyfriend stumbled across the Public Storage website. They made it very easy to sign up and reserve a unit, all completely online (and we even did it the day before we were planning to move all of my belongings). In a matter of 10-15 minutes, we were all booked, payed for (at a VERY good price), and ready to move into my new storage space. It was a very quick process and made me feel at peace.
The next day, we visited the facility with intentions to move our belongings in, and thankful Ms. Trena was there to help us along the way. There was no better person to help us move than her. She greeted us with a friendly smile, and felt very warm and inviting. She made us laugh and smile the entire time, and it really felt like we were very much being taken care of. She went over all of the required information again just so I wasn’t left in the dark to interpret what was sent to me online on my own, which was very helpful to a nervous person like me. She led us to the unit, explained all of the rules and information to me, and it couldn’t have been an easier process.
The interaction I had with Ms. Trena as well as how easy the entire process was makes me feel very justified in choosing Public Storage as my go-to storage facility (and I will definitely be coming back in the future)!

Been storing here for 5+ years now. Staff has always been helpful when needed along with friendly smile. I've had bad luck with other storage facilities in the past with property upkeep but here they constantly are in the grounds making sure everything is A1.

First off, Trena and her whole staff here at this location have been great to work with and very understanding. They always address any issues I have when I come in.
Beware of rate increases, they are ridiculous!
January 4th 2022 (yesterday) I got a rate increase notice in the mail. I was notified that my rate was increasing from $304 to $400 a month (32ish %). My last increase went up 25% from $240ish to $304. I offered to come up and pay for a year in advance in order to lock in my current rate of $304 and was told "that's impossible" from the customer service agent on the phone. Now they'll have to re-rent this unit at an introductory rate and since it's a larger unit 10'x25', it may not rent immediately and they will lose more money, guaranteed, on this unit for 2022 compared to just doing the right thing for a loyal existing customer that could have easily been a long-term customer. Not to mention that by 2023, my business will probably be much more recovered from the pandemic, and I would be able to handle an increase at that point, who knows. Anyway, be aware of the intro rates. Corporate and the greedy suits will try and squeeze you as quickly and as much as possible. I don't mind increases, I get it, but the substantial increases during a pandemic with less than a 30-day notice is just a bad business decision and I'll never recommend and will probably deter as many people I come in contact with, from renting from this company due to their greed.

Erica was very helpful with transferring from one unit into a larger unit. She even offered help with moving after she had clocked out on her way home! We have rented at this location for a couple of years and find it to be very safe with security and awareness of all that goes on at their property.
