Nona was extremely helpful and patient as we navigated our way thru the process of renting a space and making sure we understood how everything worked especially the codes for operating doors gates and elevators and hours of operation.
Stephen, also found my hearing aid which Had fell out of my ear while moving furniture into storage room. Stephen found it during his walk around. He saved me thousands of dollars is replacement costs and hassle! Big KUDOS to him for his outstanding service.

Today I went to the 1601 E Interstate 20 location to pay my mother's storage bill and I was greeted by Ms. Nona that made my experience there worth while. Her positive attitude and knowledge about paying at a different facility then the one my my mother rents from made me wanna switch locations. She was very friendly and had an awesome attitude from the time I walked in to the time I left. She rocks!!

Storage is weather controlled so we love it, but the reason why I’m not rating it 5 stars is bc they have like 4 dollies. How do you have 4 dollies for hundreds of storages. This is the second Monday that I try to come to take things out of my storage and I’m forced to leave because there’s none to be found. They are fast to take your money, but can’t offer good service.

Ever since they changed to corporate they've upped their prices and operate like cold corporate owners. They're auction happy and cut your locks after 2 weeks. Sometimes life gets in the way as a single parent of 3 kids and things happen, in my instance a hospital visit for my son and A/C breaking resulting in me being behind. The old company would give you much more time.
On top of that and the price increase they have ONE cart for the entire facility. When I rented, I chose an elevator access unit because they assured me I didn't need to buy a cart and they had plenty of carts always available for me to use.
Great price and great service. I reserved online during off hours, and the office manager called me just a few minutes after they opened to explain how the gates and app worked. I often see PS reps in the building, and they're very helpful if I have any questions. I highly recommend!
I am updating my review, so I had an issue with the new property manager first time seeing him, had to call and complain to the we care number. After a week, I heard from “Emma,” I assume she’s the person in charge of this district reach out to me and make up for the lack of professionalism I received from “Stephen.” She assured I was in no wrong doing and cleared my need to be upset for how I was treated. She def knows customer service and I’m glad someone of her status took the time to call me and make things right.
I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the exceptional customer service I received from Nona at Public Storage on I-20. She went above and beyond to meet all my needs, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I’ve stored things a lot of different places, and this is by far one of the nicest you could possibly rent.

Been here several years and other tenants have broken multiple elevators at this point. I’ve witnessed so many terrible tenants now since I go to the unit pretty regularly (atleast once sometimes multiple times a month). People keep leaving their trash in random places. However despite the difficulties Steven really helped us with finding a solution to our problem when we were unable to unload today due to inability to access our unit on the second floor. Still better than several other locations I’ve been to. Just sad to see people be so inconsiderate.
Both elevators to a 3-story building broken. (Elevator issues have been ongoing for three years.) Property manager never around when there is an issue. National customer service team is a joke and doesn’t do anything but take your money. This place is one of the worst run businesses I’ve ever used. Don’t use PS for your storage needs; use a smaller indie company with better… everything.

Edited 7/26/24 - the elevator has been broken for 3 months and there are never flatbeds to move items with when you come. I’ve been told it’s because people steal them. There needs to be more quality control.

This place has gone down hill since the new ownership. I had lost my debit card a few months ago and updated my card to make my payment. This past month I got a late fee for one day late which they didn’t notify me of until it was past a day late, saying it didn’t go through and tacked on a late fee after I already had updated my card. I went the other day to start clearing the space out because I am now paying $180 a month as they keep increasing the rent every 6 months now which is insane. When I first got the unit it was around $80-$100 a month. Not only did the elevator that I always use that is closest to my unit not work but there wasn’t any 6 wheelers to use to take my stuff from the 2nd floor to the first to load it into my car. So I had to make five trips just to get some of the stuff out of the unit. I called the property manager who didn’t answer or return my call and went to the office and NOBODY was there or around to assist me. I do not recommend using this place for storage. There’s also bugs/spiders in my unit now even though it’s indoors. I will be happy when I finally clear my stuff out and don’t have to pay this crazy storage fee anymore. This place is a total headache. You have to put in ur code to enter, to use the elevator every single time and u have to re enter your code if u don’t move fast enough. Btw that one day late fee that they didn’t notify me of until it was past a day late made my one month payment $215
You also have to now put in your code to EXIT the building in case you didn’t know.
My first day trying to access my unit was a terrible experience. My code didn't work, and the elevator wouldn't go to the second floor. After encountering red flags all day, I decided to get a refund. When I called customer service, the first person I spoke with yelled and screamed at me. Fortunately, the second representative was nice and polite. Overall, I wasted my time and money dealing with them.
The staff here are very helpful and patient , the front desk staff Nona literally walked around the whole facility with me, to help me find my storage unit. I would definitely recommend this place for storage rentals!!
Easy to rent, property is clean and secure. The manager, Greg tries his best to stay available to help with any questions that may come up. Prices are definitely manageable.

I have been renting from this Public Storage for over 2 years. Ever since Public Storage has bought them it has gotten worse and worse. They have one flat bed between 2 buildings. I'm on the 3rd floor and most of the time they have only one elevator working and it's the same with the entry doors. My rent has increased by about 15-20% every 4 months and you can't talk to the property about rent only the company over the phone. The property is mostly clean but I've had a bulb out in one of my 3 10x20 the whole time and have asked 3 times to have it fixed. Public Storage as a company sucks giving their property no budget for fixes and they have no care or benefits for long time renters even though there are several empty units on my floor my cost is too high to justify staying here any longer. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
As advertised. No hassle. I store my stuff here. Its open to the public. Just like it says on the sign. Any questions I have are addressed immediately with precise and comprehensive answers that are delivered in a direct and easy to follow manner. That good lookin girl in the fancy pink chair is top notch professional grade.
If you have an issue with this or any other storage facility for that matter, I'd bet my third testicle your issue is self-inflicted.

Brandi Nail is the reason I have rented unit at this facility almost four times. She is very attentive and goes well beyond the call of duty for the clients. I’m not sure what the training consist of but it’s clear why Public Storage has lasted as a company with personnel like her.

They do not have any carts for you to take your things to your unit. You have to carry everything yourself and when I asked the lady Brandi in the office for help she kept walking as she was talking to me telling me she didn’t know and that she couldn’t help me. She has the worst customer service ever.
My time at public storage easy. I was always notified about changes and updates. Very safe location as well. Also, the Property Manager Greg is very helpful and kind. If you have any concerns bring it to him. He will work with you the best way that he can. Thank you for all your help sir!

Just a few months after I moved my storage in, Public Storage notified me that they are going to over double my monthly fee. Do they take advantage of people not being willing to take the time and energy to move to another facility just because the monthly cost has increased? Maybe a good business strategy, because that is a huge inconvenience for customers to take the time and effort to do so?
When I called to complain they explained the facility had limited availability and high demand. However, I’m walking through the facility now and see very low occupancy.

To continue in the downfall of public storage taking over this storage complex, now the elevators do not work. So you can not access your stuff without waiting for someone to come and rest it. They don't let you have access to stairs. Wish they would have never taken over, it's been nothing but problems since. The lady was not at all understanding or apologetic about the huge inconvenience it is of having to wait for her to stroll on down to fix the elevator problem.

This place has gone to trash since public storage took over. Used to be very nice clean place now there's trash everywhere they don't run the air the place smells like it's rotting we'll be moving my stuff out as soon as I can.
Public storage sucks. They're always changing the price. They are dirty. When you go to the office and you'd ask them questions they're not very helpful. Bathrooms there are nasty they never clean them. Some of them don't even work. I would not suggest anybody to use this public storage.
Came to view spaces/sizes and carissa is the best! helped me by giving me all the information i needed about storing. Will be back if the other locations i am looking at aren’t as amazing as this public storage location
If I could give this place a zero, I would. My elderly father in law who lives somewhere else (liscence plate from another location) was the only targeted person. The staff were the only ones who know he was leaving it there while he left DFW. Very suspicious. There were nicer mobile homes and newer mobiles homes right by his. We did a police report. Manager/Jose maybe didn't seem apologetic at all. Stay away from the The Lakeridge location in Grand Prairie.

Public Storage took over as the new managing company and their new policies are not customer friendly. There were several break ins when they first took over and they didn’t notify anyone. The communication sucks and they don’t work with customers regarding late fees, even if the customer was given erroneous information by an associate. I would not recommend Public Storage to any of my friends/family.

Public storage took over and they like to sell you these $20 terrible quality locks that they warn you people may have issues with.
The lock doesn’t even work for an entire week using it two times and is stuck locked. management is unable to assist and I am forced to pay a locksmith to cut my lock.
I do not recommend public storage for your storage needs.
